My husband and I love Maine Escape Games. Its our favorite place to play. Weve completed 15 total escape rooms and six of them have been at Maine Escape Games. We recently finished Uncle Neds Cabin with a group of six and it was amazing as usual! We cant say enough good things about this company. The staff are always friendly. The puzzles are challenging and fun. People can work on multiple puzzles at a time so the entire group isnt stuck on just one puzzle. The technology in the rooms keep you immersed and the flow of each room helps keep everyone engaged as well. 5 out of 5 stars everyday!

I would highly recommend Maine Escape Games! My boyfriend and I did the wizard room for my birthday and what a blast! It was just the two of us so it was a bit challenging time wise but the staff were extremely nice dropping hints for us. (probably felt bad for us two poor souls) and the room (which I assume can be said for the others) was immaculately designed! The amount of detail put into the room is incredible and the puzzles are constructed very well. The mechanisms they use are crazy to think about putting into place. You can tell a lot of time went into creating these rooms. This is definitely a high quality and worth the price experience. I will definitely be returning many many times in the future.

What a BLAST!! We completed Uncle Neds Cabin. The rooms were fun, very interactive and challenging! We Loved IT! The staff was friendly and extremely helpful and the facility was very clean! This was our first experience. We came for our daughter’s birthday. Luckily we had a couple of players that have done escape rooms before. Once we got the hang of it we had a great time. Our game master was very helpful. We will definitely be back!

I cannot say enough about my experience here. My group did the Uncle Neds Cabin room. I could never had dreamed how incredible the puzzles were. There was so much variety and depth. Absolutely AMAZING! Everyone should do this at least once. You will not be disappointed.

Very helpful staff. We played Southport School for Wizards, which provided a good challenge with a lot of neat mechanics for solving puzzles. Not exactly a Harry Potter themed escape room, but provides a similar vibe in a good way.

A fun team bonding experience. The clues got easier as we got into it and started working together. Very creative. I would recommend for teams of 5 people and up.

Such a blast! Our group of eight completed the room with five minutes to spare, but we needed a few clues to help. There is a great balance of struggle and assistance. The rooms are super clean, incredibly clever and the staff is super friendly. Escape Your Fears--- HIGHLY recommend this room if you and your team are up for a great, fun challenge!!!

This was awesome! They were very good. We didnt escape, but they let us keep trying until we got finished. He was super helpful. They had great social distancing guidelines and sanitized everything.Highly recommend them. We cant wait to go again!

What a wonderful experience. It surpassed my expectations. I was most appreciative of the attendant. He was very present, and stepped in at the perfect moments- we forgot to ask for help, and would not have enjoyed ourselves as much had he not been so attentive, and had such great intuition on when to give a clue, and what to share. I would definitely do this again- we had lots of fun!

I have done my fair share of escape rooms and this place sets the bar in Maine. They definitely have a leg up on the competition.Great puzzles, great effects and experience, these guys know how its done.Also they do a good job keeping with Covid safety and not letting it take away from the experience.

LOVED Maine Escape Games!! 2 of us came from NH to do the Wizards room. We only planned on doing the Wizards room but had so much fun that we booked another one (Estate) right after! Our gamemaster (unfortunately we misheard his name) was amazing! Very helpful & encouraging while also giving us a few extra minutes to finish in both rooms!! They kept the facility very neat and clean during this pandemic! We will definitely make the trip back to return! :)

A bunch of us enjoyed the Wizard and Alien escape rooms this week, they are very modern and up to date. Yesterday we did The Estate room. We were not aware it was the oldest escape room. It was rated a 6/10 but we struggled in this room and the clues were not up to date and did not make much sense for solving of puzzles. I would suggest updating that room and making the clues in sequence like your newer rooms. Otherwise this is a great place and was very fun! The staff were really nice and friendly also!

Best escape rooms we have ever been to! We are from CT, and we spent all day at MEG, and did every room! Absolutely amazing! With intricate designs, a perfect blend of technology and classic puzzles, and an amazing staff - I wish we could could give more than 5 stars! We are extremely grateful and will gladly stop by on our next trip to Maine to do any new escape rooms that they masterfully create!

My friends and I had a wonderful time solving “Southport School for Wizards.” (With only 8:22 to spare!) The staff was friendly and passionate and made our experience a lot of fun. The room offered impressive construction, challenging puzzles, and really great details. I would highly recommend Maine Escape Games to anyone who loves a brain-teasing good time!

We really had fun in The Estate Room! We were lucky enough to only have the two of us doing the room and we made it out with two minutes to spare! Of the seven rooms (these two here) I have done this one and Uncle Ned’s Cabin were my favorites! Well thought out clues and I like the location of the locks from the clues! Can’t wait for the next room!

This was my first escape room experience and it was fantastic! Eight of us tackled the Alien Room and made it out with less than four minutes remaining. Puzzles were challenging and interesting, but not impossible (with some teamwork). Thanks for a great time!

So so fun and oh so challenging! We had such a fun time moving through the rooms! Every puzzle is so well thought out and so smart. We plan on going back and trying out every other rooms! Definitely recommend, worth every penny!

This is the second time Ive been, the first was Uncle Neds Cabin, and the other, last night, was Escape Your Fears. Both rooms were extremely well thought out, and all of the puzzles were fantastic and theme appropriate. I cant wait to go back, and Im very happy that they are adding more rooms

We have played every single room that Maine Escape Games has ever produced and we have never had a bad experience. Quality rooms and not to mention top notch customer service. And now they are expanding the premises! I simply cannot wait to experience what comes next.

Best time Ive had in a long time! We played the hardest room they had and somehow we ended up making it out. That might have had something to do with the other players that were with us but it was still amazing! Maybe make it a little more scary, that would make a big difference...

Staff was great, appointment was easy to make and took no time to get going once we got there. Had no idea what to expect as a first timer, but the scares and mysteries were all done amazingly. Could use a more difficult room, but other than that this place is great! Highly recommend to anyone who’s thinking about trying it

This experience was so much fun. We brought a group of ten year old girls and they had a blast solving the riddles and using the clues to get out.It was a way better experience than I anticipated.

We rented the “Alien Invasion” room for our family of 6 adults. We were newbies and had never done an escape room before. The young woman at the front desk was so nice! Once inside we were pleasantly surprised that the game was more intricate than expected, as far as how the rooms worked and how puzzles were solved. The occasional tips given to us on the screen were helpful. We held off as long as possible before asking for our 3 allowed clues (also given on screen). We were able to solve the game with minutes to spare! We can’t wait to go back and do the other games. What a fun experience!!

Great tome tonight at Maine Escape Games. We celebrated my son’s 11th birthday in the Southport School for Wizard room. Wasn’t sure what to expect going in with a group of 11 year old boys but it was wonderful to see them work together to figure out how to ‘escape’. And they were proactively provided just the right amount of clues to ensure 9 young boys had a great experience and left with a sense of accomplishment for finishing with 21 seconds to spare! Thanks so much for a memorable evening. I definitely would go back and recommend it to others.

We do an Escape Room in every state we visit, so naturally when visiting from PA we to had do one. Maine Escape Games is one of the best we have been too! Staff was friendly, the room we did was well set up, and the clues were intuitive even to the newbie escape roomers of the family we were visiting in Maine. Looking forward to doing another one next year!

We just completed the SouthPort School of Wizards room last night with two of my children ages 19 and 14 and had such a great time! It was our first time as a family trying out an escape room and couldnt have had a better experience. It was a blast and we are already talking about what room we will do next. From booking, to getting right in, employees, quality of the puzzles/rooms, value for our money-everything literally was amazing.

Ive been to the escape room on Congress street and this one was better. I liked that they had like real people interacting with you during the event

Hands down the best escape room experience Ive ever had. There were so many interactive elements that made it over-the-top amazing: secret doors, things that electronically rose when triggered, lights and sounds that were enabled in unique ways, etc. I would highly recommend this place! Sooooo much fun!

Ive completed many escape rooms and the rooms here are some of the most well thought out and constructed rooms Ive encountered.

We were a family of five solving the mission together. It was really great fun. The Estate might have been a tad too difficult for our first escape but staff was enormously kind and helpful, making the experience satisfying. Clues were revealed in well thought out ways, requiring you to really think outside the box. We will do it again and would recommend it to others.

This was not my first Escape Room experience but my first at Maine Escape Games. This is by far the best escape room experience I have had. I took 4 teens with me and we did Uncle Neds Cabin. It was so fun and the kids loved it too! Takes a lot to impress teens and they cant wait to go back! Same price of going to the movies with snacks and drinks and a much better interactive, exciting experience!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would, as the staff was very helpful and engaged. The hints were perfect just enough but not too much, and their excitement matched ours as we escaped and exited the room! Event the website descriptions, online booking and payment was top notch!I cant wait to go back to Maine Escape Games and try another room!!

We did Uncle neds cabin, myself, my wife, 1 teen and 1 tween. The puzzles were challenging however we did remarkably well. It was one of the better escape rooms that we have done and we have done a few in the past. Maine escape games does not let you down. Their escape rooms are intricate but not impossible, which keeps you motivated and not frustrated. We would come back again for sure in the future.

The rooms are very well crafted, and the puzzles present a moderate to high level of difficulty. 5/5 Has something for everyone. -IGN

We did Uncle Ned’s Cabin the other day, and it was amazing. We have done a lot of escape rooms, and this was our absolute favorite. It was very complex and had a lot of puzzles without being too complicated. We liked it so much that we went back and did a second room right away. The second room was Escape Your Fears, and it was great too.

Easy to get to free parking they told us not to do our first choice since it we were new to this. good advice. room was good and fun needed some hints. challenged us and we were able to finish. good experience

Our family loved Maine Escape Games. We left wishing we could do another one right away. The staff was friendly and helpful. The clues ranged from moderately easy to tricky but you are given help if needed. Great way to work together and use your brain to figure out logic puzzles. Can’t wait to go back!

I went here for a first date, and it was awesome!!!The only bad thing was that I confused it for “The Escape Room” which is on Congress Street in Portland. This place is located a minute away from the Maine Mall. So make sure you have the correct address!!

Favorite Escape Rooms! Ive done several escape rooms with friends, family and even a work event. This was our second time at Maine Escape Games in South Portland and both times, the rooms have topped our list of best rooms.

Im a bit of a cynic and this was my first escape room experience, so I wasnt expecting to have such a great time. We booked the whole Alien Invasion room, and were a total of 7 people. From the moment we were greeted at the front desk the experience was fantastic. The rooms props and design exceeded my expectation and the puzzles were more challenging and sophisticated than I anticipated. We all worked very hard to make our way through and were laughing and cheering together by the time we finished. This is an hour well worth your time!

Maine Escape Games has the best escape rooms I’ve ever been to! I highly recommend them. This was our second visit. We tried the Alien Invasion the first time and it still remains our favorite, but the Southport School for Wizards was a very close second!! The puzzles are just hard enough and a nice challenge. But hands down, what makes the experience so magical and exciting is how immersive, interactive, and beautifully designed the rooms are. Went and did the alien spaceship room yesterday and had a blast. We had four people in our group in total and finished with 9 seconds left. The puzzles ranged from relatively easy to some that left us stumped for minutes on end. Will definitely be going back to check out the rest of the rooms in the future!

We came here with some friends whom are from Main (Floridian here). My wife (Filipina) and I never done an Escape Room before so this was interesting. We did Uncle Neds Cabin and it had us until the end. I was impressed with the technology they implement, and how Indiana Jones it felt (the hunting for clues). You have to really pay attention and look at every detail. The last room was brutal (in a good way). I also recommend you take at least 3-4 people. We did it with I believe 8-10. I also recommend to do some mental games before to get your brain in detective mode. Someone should have a pad and pen as it can help.This place did an awesome job on all areas.

I have enjoyed Maine Escape Games with friends and with a school group - the staff are incredibly helpful, the riddles are fun and challenging, and its always a great experience!

We had a great time at this escape room! It was very thought-out and nicely done. Ive done other escape rooms in the past but this is by far my favorite. It was also great because they let us continue playing past our hour time slot which allowed us to finish the room. That was much appreciated and made for a much more enjoyable experience!
