Hollydale Regional Park

Awesome. Beautiful view was stress relieving

Take my dog every morning to get him exercised and theres many people walking their dogs or running. The dog area is open and a handful of dogs come perfect place to take your dog for a first time visit my dog is eight months and he loves it hes been coming for a month and its a safe fun place for him to run around without having to leave the gated area. Its a big play area for him he loves it.

Large park that is mostly empty, good for picnics, etc. Only downside is it is next to the freeway and you can hear it from the park. It has a dog park as well for the pups.

Is a good park. You can run along the LA River, it has plenty open and grassy space, it has a enclosed dog park. And if you are lucky, you may get to horses since some people take them there to do their walks and tricks. You may also get to see wild rabbits. It has good parking space. The the park is good overall.

I bring my kids here almost weekly. Aside from the bathrooms being closed (probably because of Covid) its worth the drive from Long Beach.

Great place.. to take a walk and also if you like to exercise its a perfect place

This is not your average park this playground pushes kids to their limits. Not only that but you could see horses taking walks, bicycle riding, sports and other stuff.

Great park. FYI - the water fountains are out of service because of COVID.

If youre an amateur cyclist or just want to try getting faster we have a local rides everyday of the week and weekends we meet up at this park and its great come join us in one of out rides to LBC

Very nice hidden gem. I had never been to this park and it surprised me how many people were there. Theres a playground for kids, tennis courts, trails, and a dog park all within a few steps from each other. Its a very nice place to have a picnic with the family and theres plenty of parking. I will definitely be going back to enjoy it with the family.

Come to this park all the time. Its definitely improved over the years. I only take small issue with the seating in the big dog area, since its so close to the water drinking area the dogs tend to dirty the seats with mud. And there arent many more seat options.

Well they didnt have the childrens playground all cautioned off. So I let my mini me play for about an hr & we walked our husky around the perimeter of the park...

Its a very nice, huge park. Very family oriented. It has a dog park; nice landscaping with different types plants/ shrubs. People playing soccer, tennis, basketball,etc. I love it

The park is not too bad it’s all dirt and not too big. The only problem with this place is most dog owners spend their time chatting with each other instead of watching their dogs and most of those dogs aren’t trained. Other than that the park is okay.

Cant believe this dog park is so close too home. I was driving all the way to signal hill until I found out about hollydale. Everyone is super nice and very accountable of their dogs! Its really hard to find a nice dog park for big dogs but I think we found ours! Only reason I give 4 stars is they need lighting! Other than that it would be 5 all the way

Its fenced off. The city wants a homeless camp in it. They also removed two lanes from Gardendale st.

Great park for the family .. We love this park.

I luved it. My daughter luved it. Especially my dog loved it. Separate areas for weight of dogs obstacle courses. Drinkimg water for dogs and trash nags for when dogs have to do there buisseness. Love it.

They have UPGRADED this park tremendously !!!! The floor is a foam type, surrounded by benches, plants, trees and picnic area. Hollydale Park now has rock climbing activities, swings for all ages, and what made me love this park even More they have a separate playground right next to the big play set which is also very kid friendly. I applaud the city greatly because of the tarp look alike to cover the big playground BUT my BIG concern is what about the Baby playground ? It gets hot quickly during summer so it makes it difficult for any toddler to play in. The park should Highly consider placing a cover for the toddler play set too, can prevent unwanted rashes or burns. That is why I lowered the rating in the stars made it a bit challenging for my toddler

Good walk around area. Only worry is that sometimes (most times) people drive way too fast down the middle road, like theyre on the starting stretch of a race track.

Pooches paradise!

Took my daughter here for a picnic this afternoon. There was plenty of grass and shade. My daughter liked the playground, too. We took a walk after she played. Plenty of space to get a nice walk in, too.

Hollydale park has annual fairs on the river bed. Car shows during certain times of year. But year round there are soccer fields tennis courts racquetball courts. Basketball courts. Nature trails and charging station for your hybrid cars. The park is visited year round for picnics, birthday parties, its walking trails. Jogging or just to come visit its nature, there are rabbits or wild birds that come and visit there. Also if your furry friend needs a place to run come visit the dog park.

This park is clean quietAnd great spot to meditate.

Love this park, and so do my daughters! Its very beautiful. I like that you can sometimes see some rabits, goats, and horses running around.

Its a nice park to go for a jog or have a nice picnic. They even have a small dog park as well. The only problem are the bathrooms. Everytime I go, theres no toilet paper.

Cool spot to do youre work out or just kick it. One thing that upsetted me one time while i was here was the south gate police. He literally was waiting for me to leave.

Just keep moving and dont walk next to anyone to closely!

I love this park soooo much... We bring our sweet little Pitbull here all the time and there is so much space for her to run and catch her frisbee. Without police bugging about a no leash law

I really love this park when its empty. It feels really peaceful and the many different trees keep it nice and fresh. Me and my boyfriend have been coming here for more than four years. Now we bring our daughter for walks and have a picnic once and a while. I discovered this park along time ago when I was serious about running. I used to run along the riverbed in the afternoons and watch the beautiful sunset Bc you get a good view as its setting behind the freeway. Im not giving this park 5 stars Bc the downer to this beautiful park is that it somehow became the hangout spot for potheads and classic car enthusiasts. But on a good day, usually Sunday mornings for us, you do get to enjoy its beauty.

A nicefor for the whole family course. Maintained well friendly staff. Been playing their periodically(avg 1x per yr) for over 40 years. Been fun to see the changes and the course grow. Very easy to play and it plays fast if you know what I mean. Has a nice little club house for typical muni food and beverages. If you want some fun and not take all day give this track a shot!

Not many people around good for the kids

Just attended a cross country race there. Was a perfect location for it.

Good playground for the kids. Restrooms are okay, just dont have any soap to wash your hands. Be careful with the people playing hand ball. They are always drinking and smoking weed. They have a picnic gazebo with like 6 tables. Tennis area is good too.

Had my dog attacked by a pitbull, its the owner for not knowing how stressed the dog was. Other then that I like it but can be overwhelming to some dogs and can cause conflict.

Nice Big regional Park.. Has everything, outdoors.. basketball,handball, trails, plenty grass, BBQ spots. Great for walks also

I enjoy going to this park....I love it, and my kids love it. Too..... Beautiful playground and clean restrooms.... You can go and walk to the River Bed and have a good time.. inhaling fresh air.....early in the morning.....

Fields have lots of potholes. But overall not bad.

Never been but its always busy with kids and little family gatherings

First time here, we stopped by with our dog to check out the dog park and the set up is amazing but as it began to get dark we noticed that there were no lights close enough to eliminate the dog park area and I was a bit disappointed. My dog was was having so much fun but we had to leave due to it being so dark. Lights are definitely needed in that area.

Nice park for your pets. It was my 1st visit at a dog park and the only thing that discouraged me were these kids that were inside the park. They should not be allowed inside a dog park. Dogs run around and can hurt them especially when parents dont supervise them and let them touch every dog. Which made me nervouse because my dog is a bit new to socializing but hes never been one to bite. But these kids were all up on him and i had to leave.
