I took a ceramics class, It was a lot of fun! It was my first time doing any type of pottery. Small class, which is to be expected. Teacher was very helpful and really easy to talk to. If you get a chance to take a class I highly recommend it!

I took a painting class at MAKE SOUTH BEND and was thoroughly impressed with the affair. Social distancing was incorporated at all times. The teacher was helpful, encouraging, and passionate. And I picked up a new painting style I never would have otherwise. Overall, I thought the experience was well worth the price-tag and I encourage anyone remotely interested to give it a shot.

Took my daughter to a preschool art class there today, was a little hesitant because the area around it is a little run down but the actual place was nice. I though the class was cheap ($10) for everything that we did. She did several different types of painting projects (4 of them) and also got to work with clay which she got to take home. They also provided a snack for her which was some organic Apple juice and cheese crackers. I think in a better area theyd be able to get more attention and even charge more, its worth it.

You can take classes to learn many different crafts. Watercolor painting, mini pottery, screen printing, melting glass, Bob Ross style painting, soap making, knitting, stained glass and much more.

We love this place! My son (13) and I went today for a class to make stained glass pieces. We LOVED every second of it! It was my first class but I sent him before. He has made a clay TARDIS, a bowl, a dragon, sword, and other things at the summer day camp. Its like a gym where you dont have to work out, and can use their equipment to make cool things and keep. Theres literally classes for everyone. They have tech stuff and 3D printers, wood working, ceramics, painting, stained glass, jewelry making, screen printing, ink coasters, soap making, crochet and knitting groups, senior and student discounts and so much more. We loved it! Going back next weekend!

I wanted to be able to let my kids learn some stuff this summer and have fun outside of the house, but I couldnt fit the normal stuff in with my work schedule. Michelle has a nice mix of classes, and I was able to find something each child would be interested in, as well as something we could do as a family. Cant wait to find some new mediums to try myself.

I have heard a lot about Make South Bend lately, and decided to try a class. I chose the abstract painting class for my first adventure (and it will not be my last). I attended the class by myself, and did not know what to expect. I really enjoyed the class, which lasted about an hour and a half. All of the materials were supplied and the instructor made me feel comfortable trying out something new. The space itself is really nice, the classroom was large and I could see artist studio space available down the hall. In the next room there were pottery wheels and another large classroom area. I plan to try out the crochet basics and the jewelry making classes. They have a full calendar of classes available online.

Make South Bend is a wonderful spot for Artists and Makers alike to hang out and make things. They have studios, equipment and a variety of spots to set up for the day, or just a few hours. The atmosphere is laid back, and its nice working somewhere I can bounce ideas off of other Creators (or have someone nearby if I hurt myself. Art, am I right?)Kidding aside, Makes pretty great. The memberships been worth it so far for me, but there are also classes, day passes, and then occasional event open to the pubic, which is how I discovered them.Theres a shop in the front which features goods made at Make, which isnt too advertised. It alone is a reason to stop by, and if youre already there, might as well check the place out!

I went for a painting class. Turns out the painting was misrepresented in the advertisement, and was not the painting being taught (?!) A much smaller picture was being painted with an okay instructor (who actually painted on my painting twice) I wasnt so thrilled.

I went to my first pop up event after seeing a ad for it on the morning news. I have always wanted to check the place out, and I am so so glad I did! It was so nicely laid out and the vendors were so nice and warming! I will definitely be returning and hopefully attend a class or two!
