My first time at Brickbottom Studios was about 8 years ago. My friend Wally Gilbert has an art studio there. In 1980 he won a Nobel Prize for developing one of the first methods to rapidly sequence DNA. Wally ran a laboratory at Harvard University. Wally also founded 2 companies Biogen and Myriad.Since he has retired from becoming a great Artist. Using a 2 megapixel camera Wally Gilbert started taking Pictures of colorful objects and architectural features that caught his eye throughout Europe. In art and science Wally craves discovering something new. I highly recommend you check out Wally’s fabulous art!!!
Great people and things going on over here!
Great open studios. Ive actually bought some original art her before. There are lots of artisy studios, great to be able to speak to the artists that make the work.
Brickbottom has amazing artists covering countless media and styles. I find it truly inspiring!
Fantastic place with beautiful apartments- if you are visiting a tip would to ask exactly where to go. Good gallery shows.
Great space with cool art and an interesting concept.
It was an adventure across the macgrath highway from twin city plaza. The open studios did not disappoint. If you can you should check out make things work by piotr parda.
Love the art, always something new there.
