This is the perfect place to take your little kids to run off some steam and explore. With a little more than a mile and a half of trails, the kiddos can enjoy a sense of accomplishment when finishing a trail. Dog friendly and most of the trails are wide enough to social distance.

Beautiful trail with clearly marked paths. An easy hike though a little rocky and with some steep hills. I love that there are many trails to try. Ill definitely come back to hike the others another day.

Beautiful place on Old Forge Rd in Smithfiled to take your dog for a walk. There are 2 trails. The Red trail is an easy stroll through the forest. The yellow trail is a little more challenging as there is an uphill element. Beautiful little brook running under a bridge. Great place to enjoy the outdoors, get some exercise and breathe some fresh air. My dog jumps in the car to go there

My family loves to come here for hikes with just us or with friends. At the trail head, we bear left to take the red loop and take it around till it meets up with the yellow. If you need a shortcut back to the trail head, go right when you reach the yellow trail. We go left to take the yellow trail loop around and back to the trail head. This combo is right around 1 mile - a great length for young kids (3 y/o+, the 2 y/o rides in the backpack carrier). The area is especially pretty in the autumn. Theres also a nice open area near the trailhead with a little pool on the Woonasquatucket River which runs thru the area. Parking on on the widened road running adjacent to the entrance to the area.

Trails were very well marked and maintained. Wide trails with a few short inclines/declines. I brought a six year old who had no issues navigating the terrain on the red trail.

Went here tons of times with my grandma and my mom mostly from an entrance from my grams house and that leads into the main area that had a really nice view. Also there is a lake, and it’s really cool to see the lake in winter when it’s all frozen.
