Beautiful trail with clearly marked paths. An easy hike though a little rocky and with some steep hills. I love that there are many trails to try. Ill definitely come back to hike the others another day.
Beautiful place on Old Forge Rd in Smithfiled to take your dog for a walk. There are 2 trails. The Red trail is an easy stroll through the forest. The yellow trail is a little more challenging as there is an uphill element. Beautiful little brook running under a bridge. Great place to enjoy the outdoors, get some exercise and breathe some fresh air. My dog jumps in the car to go there
Good 45 min hike. Ups and downs. Not many people and quiet. Small parking area off the road.
I loved it. Nice and short and beautiful place. Will be going back.
Great scenic area with trails, streams, waterfall. A ton of shade, Really nice for a picnic out sightseeing, walk your dogs.. Beautiful spot! Open dawn to dusk! 9 pm
A peaceful, exceptionally clean and quiet place. It is little treasure in Rhode Island.
Is a great spot. Unfortunately someone has vandalized the area with graffitti!!!
Beautiful ! There is a brook and lots of pine trees. Good for photographers and those who are only looking for a small hike. Definitely worth checking out !
Beautiful scenic place place for a short hike.
Very beautiful place to hike :)
Perfect place to take a dog hiking if they are not the best with people on leash as there are not a ton of people, its also an amazing place to hike and only took us an hour to do both trails
Great little park for short walk (red trail).Perfect for small children, can make the beginning area the end treat to let them explore the rocks and stream.
Nice relaxing hike for families, including your pup!
Nice little hiking area with some interesting stream and rock features. Short enough (less than a mile on each part of two connected loops) to bring nearly anyone at any time.
The scenery was great and it gives you an amazing adventure
Our Own Backyards
Beautiful place to go hiking and take pictures!!
Quiet, beautiful geology in a secluded forest
A great place to find peace nearby. I enjoy my strolls beside the babbling brook and long or short hikes on the marked trails. Thanks Smithfield Conservation Committee members for saving the towns natural areas.
Great place to bring kids, or to take the dog for a walk. Nice short trails!
Love the scenic views this place has to offer. Easily accessible and enjoyable just about any time of the year. Lots of interesting stones as well if youre into rockhounding.
Nice trails to walk on,nice stream, cold water!
It was good but buggy.
My family loves to come here for hikes with just us or with friends. At the trail head, we bear left to take the red loop and take it around till it meets up with the yellow. If you need a shortcut back to the trail head, go right when you reach the yellow trail. We go left to take the yellow trail loop around and back to the trail head. This combo is right around 1 mile - a great length for young kids (3 y/o+, the 2 y/o rides in the backpack carrier). The area is especially pretty in the autumn. Theres also a nice open area near the trailhead with a little pool on the Woonasquatucket River which runs thru the area. Parking on on the widened road running adjacent to the entrance to the area.
Trails were very well marked and maintained. Wide trails with a few short inclines/declines. I brought a six year old who had no issues navigating the terrain on the red trail.
Really lovely spot to hike, especially with a family/kiddos. Beautiful Brooks, cliffs, ledges and trails, if there were picnic benches, it would be perfect.
Gorgeous easy hike. Love the stream area near the road. Will be back in the fall when the leaves change.
Great small walk along lovey trails
Great place for the kids and dogs
Great hiking and place to get your zen on.

Short walking paths, great scenery, some steep areas to get the heart pumping. Gorgeous all time of year.
Absolutely Love this place for Hiking! Beautiful Area To Walk, Pack A Lunch & Enjoy Nature w/ A View of The Pond/ Lake. Bring A Camera & The Family Too. And Just at the other end of the trail - across the St. is The Conservation Area, also for Climbing/ Hiking!
Beautiful trails and a gorgeous scenic view of the Woonasquatusket River. A definite gem of the hiking areas around Smithfield.

Love this place. Perfect for dogs no matter the weather
Excellent place to conserve Mowrys.
Great, short hike with a few overlooks/ good views
Nice place to take a quick walk around. Did both loops in about 15 minutes.. so I did it a second time because it was such a nice walk!
Went here tons of times with my grandma and my mom mostly from an entrance from my grams house and that leads into the main area that had a really nice view. Also there is a lake, and it’s really cool to see the lake in winter when it’s all frozen.
Nice place! Quiet. Relaxing.
