Herring cove trail Sitka

The weather was nice and calm and you could see the bright stars and the moon

Mountain climbing, water fall chasing, and rain forest traversing. All in one. So many beautiful photos.

Good beginner to intermediate hike. Beautiful scenery!

Great hike, it is tough going up hill at the beginning but totally worth it. At the top is a lake and you can circle around it. The trail narrows in some spots but it is manageable. Highly recommend it.

Definitely worth the visit. Hike up a mountain alongside a cascading stream. See an impressive falls, and many other beautiful views.

Nice and quiet and no bears showed up

Gorgeous trail, so well made and maintained and with beautiful views. Didnt see any other people on the whole trail. You can get dropped off at the trailhead and walk out at sawmill creek campground and out blue lake road to end at Fortress of the bear and grab a city bus back. Bring bear spray, we didnt see any bears but were told one was around.
