Great hotel, clean and very friendly employees. We ate at Smokey Joes and it was great. All around a 5 star rating. Will be back. Remember folks thats coming from a Texan, Adios.

Below expectations. Surprisingly I was not asked for an ID. I was told to remove my mask and look at the security camera. Sanitation protocols in place. Many slots but none of them pay. As a gambler you know youre there to lose your money but the payout percentages are so low that you cant even keep yourself entertained. If you go expect to blow $500 in 1 to 2 hours with NO return

Alright, truth be told, the only gambling I enjoy is when Im playing a game of skill against an opponent(s). But, I discovered casinos have incredibly inexpensive rates to draw gamblers to their facility. I stayed here for around $60+/- and the room was very nice.

Had a really nice night, very comfortable in a beautiful room. The staff was kind and friendly. One complaint was the dinner from Smokey Joes it was extremely salty.

The casino smells of weed and slots dont pay. SUPER TIGHT Never seen anything like this. GO TO nearby HorseShoe casino. Its elegant and grand plus their slots pay. You can see people winning around.

I love that they had a lot of the Quick Hit machines! Theyre my favorite. The bathroom was exceptional and the staff was nice.

Two words... BED BUGS! We stayed overnight this Sunday to Monday in room 2209. I woke up with probably 15 bites on my entire right side of my body (I sleep on my right side). Called the hotel and told them once we realized what it was and they said they would “call us back” when they called back they asked for proof and were unhelpful in every way. We honestly just didn’t want anyone to go through the same thing.Updated review: The contact us page on the website doesn’t work. The questions and comments section will not submit. If you all were so concerned with health and safety of your guests it would have been addressed when we called.

OMG! FIRST TIME THERE! I HAD SUCH A GOOD TIME THAT I DID NOT WANT TO COME HOME I FELT VERY SAFE WITH COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES IN PLACE. CANT WAIT TO GO BACK IN ANOTHER WEEK. PLUS, BROUGHT HOME SOME NICE MONEY!

Had fun here, just keep your eyes on the card dealers. They make mistakes. Love Java Deli for munchies.

Very nice I visited for the first time staying at horseshoe which I stay every week. I was looking for a different view.Loved the atmosphere here and the variety 9f games even though I didnt win. I will be back and hopefully I will get a chance to also stay the night in the hotels here.

Love going to Sams town casino. The payouts are always nice. Bartender is very generous on the liquor with the drinks (not watered-down ). Waitresses are great on checking on you. Security is plenty inside the casino. If you decide to book a room, theyre very nice and spacious. No matter what denomination of machines you play, they are pretty loose. They dont mind adding more free play while youre playing after tier amounts. They always having some sort of game going to boost your tier points any day of the week. All the restaurants are delicious but if you eat at smoky joes, go during the day because the night shift /graveyard shift supervisor is rude and unprofessional. Other than that, great place to go to have some fun.

We always stay here during the week for work and get great room rates. The food in Smokey Joes is really good—breakfast or dinner.

Great accommodations, drinks can be hit or miss depending on waitress, need to bring BConnected point multipliers back, or loosen the slots for better payouts. Always stay here when coming out here, but end up gaming at Margaritaville.

The rooms are nice customer service is great. And games are fun to play

On September 6, 2020 me and friends stayed at Sams Town,the room was nice, The service at Smokey Joes and Java Deliwas the rudest people I have encounter at a restaurant. At Smokey Joesit took about 1-1/2 hours to get our food, one person finally got his food after nearly everyone was finished eating. After this we will never go backto eat, may gamble there.

Very clean rooms and the service was great. I really liked the fact that it has three restaurants within the building. They also have a live band during certain hours. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to family and friends.

Well its nice to have good and a safe place to and have fun and every BODY is great not just for the people but the security is good.

The only reason I give this place 4 stars rather than 5 is that our whole floor and room smelled of marijuana. We did ask for a smoking room as my husband smokes but cigarettes were not the only thing being smoked on the 20th floor. Other than that the room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were all very nice. I’m sure they would have accommodated us if we asked but really what can they do? It’s a smoking floor. We will stay again but will pack air freshener lol

Was able to spend 4 days at the casino/hotel for my birthday...& enjoyed them all.Nice sized room, comfy bed & tub big enough to soak.They are definitely a contender for next yrs birthday if an overnight stay doesnt come first.

The hotel room is very comfortable. It is clean and decorated beautifully. This particular room has a wonderful view overlooking the Red River. Fantastic!

Smaller casino so the smoke is pretty heavy in there I wouldnt recommend it if you are a fan of larger casinos. Older but still gets the job done. Good luck.

I kind of had a bad experience with the room and they moved us to the suite but my niece got burned on her finger by one of the outlets because its sparked up and thats all they tried to do a burnt her purse and everything any other time Ive had a good time but I didnt like how they handled the situation by any means

Hotel was something out 1960!!!!! Food was ok!!!!Slots were poor!!!!I wouldnt waste my time here.

The service light has been on my machine for 15 mins. No one has showed up yet.

Enjoyed the all you can eat lobster &prime rib on Saturday. Earned 5-10 points and received it for 50% off. The pork roast was excellent. Everything was tasty. Was able to play for a while. Man next to me in slot hit major jackpot on $1000.00 on lightening playing 75 cents.

They need more employees. I understand it was busy but every single thing you do has a line with only one employee causing you to have a ten minute wait minimum. The slots dont pay at all. Also the staff seemed to be very rude. I highly recommend Diamond Jacks instead for a better experience.

Very nice room. The beds were very comfortable. We had an amazing view of the water and margarittaville behind usThe staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

It was fun, nice place a little too smokey for my liking. Dont mind a little smoke but this was over the top, took me about three days for my allergies to calm down. The dealers were fun, I donated this time but I had a good time doing it.

You’ll get the same treatment as you would see at a Vegas casino. It is a little run down so it will feel more like Fremont Street rather than The Strip, however that means cheaper tables if that’s what you’re looking for.

Claustrophobic alert! Felt so cramped and the whole place was dirty.

This has to be one of the worse places Ive stayed in years. The T V doesnt work no where to eat and the Javas Sandwich shop charged 10 for a frozen tortinos pizza that was terrible.

Probably the dirtiest out of date casino i have ever been too. Games scattered among three small rooms located on three different very smoke filled levels. All the games seemed as if they had been there fir 20yrs and never updated and the table games were just as old and dirty. Unless you already have lung cancer i would not recommend this casino fo any non-smoker. The only positive i could see was that the parking garage was decent and had an enclosed walkway over the main street into the casino.

The casino was better than I expected, and the employees were tentative for the most part. The rewards program however is unorganized. I chose which establishments I visit based on how they reward their customers. After my visit, I was told that I qualify for free game play if used in the next thirty days, however when I returned I was sent from person to person before I was told that I was unable to claim it. Based on my experience in relation to other casinos, I dont plan on returning.Edit: the link works, but I cant submit the message from my phone. I left my card with the employee last night, so I dont have my membership number.

We decided to come here for our fifth wedding anniversary we read on the news the casino was open as well as the motel, we tried several times to call and ask questions but could never get a real person on the phone. That should have been a sign but we proceeded just thinking they were busy. Couldnt have further from the truth. We arrive check in only to find out the Buffett, the spa, and the swimming pool were all closed, oh and all of the table games are closed as well as room service. You can play table games at every other motel/casino in town the pools are open at other venues most of the restaurants and stores are open at other venues but Samtown wasnt very forthcoming with any of this information prior to booking a reservation and checking in. This place is dead covid restrictions or not most other places are operating at some level of normal. Just not here do not reccomend wasting your time or money here.

Fun but I lost $40

I visited yesterday, and I was expecting to get my temperature taken at the door before I entered the casino...I will not be visiting anymore...I spent too much money and didnt win any thing. The machines are empty and theyre trying to get people back...its not working I use to love it there...not anymore...Im sorry about the pandemic, but youre not being safe at this casino....I will wait for A while before I return....Sorry

Very clean, felt safe with social distancing being observed. Sams Town lets you play a while for your moneys worth instead of just taking it all at once.

Casino is small. Rooms are not worth the price paid for them. They are ok, but not worth 150. I asked for some toiletries and i had to call 2 more time after the initial call for them to bring them to the room, taking 40 minutes. The positive thing about this place is its buffet. The food was very good and had great variety and definitely worth $20, on prime rib night. The next hotel El Dorado was definitely the casino to hangout at.

Owner response requesting to contact them is a joke, their Contact-Us page is busted. Ive tried on 3 different devices, and 4 different web browsers. The submit button simply does not work, after taking the time to fill it out again and again. And really who wants to call these days. I like to have track-able communications.If I get this service again, I will not return. There are too many other casino options to waste my time with somewhere that has horrible customer service working right next to good customer service. Inside the casino, Robert, the bartender was exceedingly rude to my wife! If not for the waitresses Tamika and Stacy (very friendly) who got us another friendlier bartender after Robert just walked away, I would have demanded a refund for my second night at the hotel and gone elsewhere, never to return. I cant understand anywhere that tries to be at least decent having somebody that rude working in front of customers. This is my second time at this hotel/casino, and could very well be my last. The good service goes a long way, but the rude goes further. a good paying customer does not deserve to be treated that way. Even though the waitresses were extremely friendly, they shouldnt have to be doing damage control.Original review (3 start) Not the best casino Ive been to, but not bad. Wish the in house food options were better.

I stayed there at the end of July and this past weekend. There is a horrible smell near the convention center area elevators. It smells like sewage and is very unpleasant. This may become a health hazard if it already hasnt.

The room was very nice and decorated well.I was very disappointed in the casino. I was playing the slots and having a great time with my friends. When we would win a little (the machines weren’t paying at all) or land on a spin I would get really excited and cheer. A staff member came up to me and told me I needed to be quite. Who does that at a casino? I thought you would want your guests to have a great time. I’ve never been treated like this at a casino. It completely ruined my night and brought tears to my eyes. I will not be back.The breakfast buffet was terrible, but Billy’s Steakhouse was excellent.

Ive Never gambled at the casino. I would buy a lottery ticket every blue moon, but I had the best time here with my family and the room and view was so nice. Family friendly!

Rooms are nicely furnished, host staff, housekeeping staff and THE CLUB staff were absolutely the best. The coffee shop staff had personality, however the cafe hostess was having a bad day all three days we were there. She was forced to seat us and cashier...it was extremely overwhelming for her. Her entire persona exuded disdain.

Great place! My hotel room was clean and neat. The staff was very friendly and helpful . My son have a power wheelchair and they help me load and unload. I also went to the casino and its great and they have newer machines.

Thoroughly enjoyed my weekend getaway w/friends @ Sams Town. My first time visiting & though the hotel could stand some updates in areas the rooms were nice, spacious & clean overall. Friendly staff, good drinks, great live band & the casino wasnt too bad either. We actually got lucky & would visit again.

We had an awesome time playing the playboy game machines between the 6 of our group for hours. We did encounter a few rude bartenders walking around there.. but we had a super sweet security lady who had to keep telling us to get a member of our group to quiet down some since he was talking really loud esp after drinking. He wasnt being mean or irate just disractive but that lovely lady talked to us several times and still helped us make it fun and she never made us feel like we were getting in trouble or anything. I wish I knew her name right now.

The hotel constantly reeks of either marijuana or mildew depending on the time of day. Getting security to come up and deal with noise complaints is like pulling teeth. In a weeks time, I had to call security five times. Staying hefe was a horrible experience.

Worst place ever. Door key would not work. First gave us a lecture where to carry our key card. Second set did not work so came up to our room to show us how it works. Duh. Oh the battery was dead on the door so left us standing in the hallway waiting for maintenance man. We are in our 70’s and very tired. This whole thing took over 45 mins. Maintenance man could not fix the door so we could not leave the room. So no middle of night gambling for us. Next morning found bed bug on the bed. Out of there and will never return. Want my money back but nope.

The hotel has gone down hill in a bad way. Our room was dirty. We moved to another room and it was clean but felt dirty. It really needs an update.

The hotel room was a 3.75 to 4 star. You have to buy a late checkout, even just 30 mins. Nice, clean and spacious. Some of the furniture was worn and a couple lights didnt work but overall a nice room. The casino is a 2. The smokiest casino Ive been to. It was hard to get a free drink when gambling. I didnt win and didnt see many people winning.

This was supposed to be the one holiday meal that my brother and I could sit back and relax. Might I say we will not try and do this again!!! It was terrible! The food was plentiful just awful! It was the biggest let down of the year might I say. I cannot point fingers! It is our own fault. We shouldn’t have been trying to get off easy. We did so at the expense of our families and we so deeply apologize for it and we assured all involved it WILL NOT happen again!!! So if you are looking for a place to do you Christmas Dinner... I have to be truthful to you and say.. “ DO NOT DO IT AT SAM’s TOWN HOTEL & CASINO”! You will forever regret and taste it!! BADLY & BOLDLY!! I’m just saying.

Best rooms on the river walk. The food is top notch and if you are a gramber they have all the best games.

We go most weekends for their live music & dancing. Saw Crush Friday night, & they were excellent. Food is always excellent, as is the service.

Fun, fun fun. Actually took more money home then I came in with. Used free valet parking, friendly staff. Left valet 5 dollar tip, cool people. Visited on a week day so it was not over crowded. I will return.
