I love Maywood. Nice area, feels like your in the country. The trails can be a little muddy but they are trails. I can easily spend a few hours here just walking.

Just a beautiful place to get out in nature. I live the educational side of it too.

Choose from numerous walking trails and discover a huge variety of trees, plants and grassland all clearly marked with informative signs along the groomed paths.

One of our favorite places to go and explore as a family! The trails are well maintained, can get muddy at times but thats obvious for nature. I absolutely adore this place.

Maywood is an excellent place to visit. They have a number of trails to hike which have been fun to venture on on a daily basis during the Safer at Home act. There are a bunch of wildlife from deer to geese to ducks and more.

Illuzzi ecology Center theyre closed theyre still planning to see out on the trails in at the ponds and along the river.

Went on a Sunday afternoon the park center was closed but still able to walk around. Was very nice and peaceful lots of hiking space. Both my boys had fun spotting all the different wildlife.

Maywood is a wonderful place to hike, explore, learn some things about nature, and attend events. There is suitable parking but bathroom facilities are not always suitable during all hours of park operation. A very nice feature is the prohibition against dogs at the park, even if on a leash. People like their dogs, and we liked ours, but other people do not want their private space invaded by other peoples mutts. The peace and serenity at the park is greatly enhanced by the absence of dogs. Wildlife also appreciate the absence of canines roaming their home territories.

Im apart of Team Maywood. A Monday evening bicycling group. An adult biking program for all ages and all skill levels. It starts the first Monday of May and finishes the 3rd Saturday of September with the Maywood Earth Ride. All ages are welcome for this Fall event. There are six routes starting with the 12 mile family ride to the experience 112 mile ride. All have refreshment stops along the way. What a great way to help Maywood raise funds for ongoing programs.

Maywood park is an excellent resource that Sheboygan County is very lucky to have. Growing up, I attended the various camps and preschool events, went on field trips there throughout my schooling years, and went for family hikes and volunteered there up until I left for college 3 years ago and my family since moved away from the area. I have nothing but fond memories of discovering the outdoors, getting lost (sometimes literally) in nature- I even took some of my first steps on the wooden structure near the visitors center! Basically, what I want to convey is that the community should take advantage of this gift and continue to fight for it! If youre ever near, go- take a hike!

Beautiful place to take the family. Even though there is no playground my grandchildren ages 2 to 8 have a great time every time they go. The opportunity for adventure and imagination is endless. Hours pass before you realize it. Love it !

Wonderful place for everyone! [Please note: no pets allowed] Great for year round hobbies including walking, biking, hiking, and snowshoeing. There is a beautiful conservation center where they sometimes host activities and learning opportunities. Very well maintained and cared for, a gorgeous display of wild life a short drive from home

This is my happy place, my quiet place and my stress relief from lifes challenges. Whenever I walk through this beautiful place it just seems to bring me back to a peace of mind. It has ponds, a river, tall grass, beautiful woods, and flowers that go on forever with paths that circle the whole place. I was even more blessed when the staff let my husband and I have our wedding there in the hummingbird garden area. That was a dream come true. I thank God for this place everytime I come. Its so peaceful. Thank you to all of the staff and volunteers who make this place so amazing!

Maywood Park is an excellent place to visit to go bird-watching. Although the park itself is rather small, it is large enough to spend a few hours walking around and observing the local flora and fauna.Ive spent several afternoons here bird watching. Expect to see hawks and other local bird species.

Had not been out here in a while but I went a little crazy looking for Pokemon. Nice paths and well maintained.

This place was once a place my son and I could only visit - after needing to drive there/here .....I remember dreaming of having such an awesome Back yard.....; the Maywood visitor center and event holder ; ie. 5 k 10 K etc races are held and supportedThe Maywood park is by trail along Pigeon River to an adjoining Evergreen Park / also adjoined under HWY 42 into the Jaycees Park....with an ex exellent Frisbee Golf course . . . Not to forget the sweet mountain bike trail routes throughout all three networked City Parks system .
