A big ole water park with plenty of cool and fun rides, pools, and slides.Atmosphere is laid back and there is enough space for social distancing. The wave pool and not-so-lazy river are excellent places to set up for a relaxing day. Slides are a mixture of fun, quick, and scary. Wait times for slides are not bad. Fun for all ages. Food and other in park purchases can be on the expensive side, and standing in line at the multiple food vendors can be somewhat chaotic and long on a busy day. The wait is worth it, however, as the park food is especially delicious (talking about you taco and macaroni trucks!). In all, a season pass is a good value, especially if you plan on attending the park multiple times this season. $$$
We went on the last weekend they were open! The weather was a little chilly for the water park, but wow! There were slides for EVERY AGE! We had adults all the way down to 2 years old and we were able to find something that everyone enjoyed. Both of my girls age 6 & 9 loved the obstacle course and the huge three story slides and play area. My 2 year older nephew loved the kiddy water park that had lots of slides and fun things to do all together. We can’t wait to go back in the summer when it’s nice and hot! We will definitely be back!
Its a HUGE water park thats for sure. The wave pool is massive and they run it often. They also have something like a monster wave or something like that several times a day...go do it, the waves are amazing and its only during certain times. Prob not good for kids to be alone during but if they are good swimmers then no worries.Top notch water slides. What else can you say.The Hive is another great spot for kids...multiple water slides for kids and a big bee hive that fills up with water and spills out, super fun area for kids. However this is area Does Not have enough life guard support for the slides. So no one tells kids when to go and when not to go so your child can be rammed into at the bottom...mine got a pile driver from a grown man who went down right after my 6 year old son. Put some life guards on this area to control who goes down the slide and when they can go.This actually could be a 5 star park but a few things need to be improved on. We rented a Cabana for each day and on Friday the service was great but on Saturday the park was packed and service was awful. You pay several hundred dollars more for the cabana and private waiter but they need more waiters...ours had no way to check back on us...maybe once every few hours...you can push a button for your waiter but theres not enough of them so plan on waiting an hour minimum. The food is no Dollywood but its okay, good enough for a water park I guess.Overall this is a neat park and if you go during the week its not really that crowded. The weekends are like a rednecks paradise, Im basically a redneck so it works out great.
Really decent pak for its size! The value is beyond greatness! Definitely try to catch discount days for nearby counties and neighbors. plenty of good food and if you make it to the milkshake station definitely try the unicorn blast! You will not regret it. All rides are fun and just be ready to walk on some hot concrete! Now go get soaked
SURPRISED!!We didnt actually plan to go. We booked a trip to Wilderness of the Smokies for my sons birthday but since their outside park was closed we got to visit Soaky Mountain for free.We spent 2 days and my kids (19 and 9) were still not bored. This park has stuff for everyone!!Food: We decided to try the Tacolicious food truck and I am glad we did. We knew it would be pricey being at a park but it wasnt bad at all for what you get. We got loaded nachos and they were definitely loaded with lots of yummy stuff for only $9.99!! None of us could finish our nachos. (I included a picture of them)CabanasSAVINGS TIP!!! We went during the week and if you wait until you arrive at park they have place you can rent cabana for $75 instead of the $125 if booked ahead online. We did this for 2 days and would definitely recommend it.The prices are different for different size cabanas, for weekend days, and if you want a server. We had 8 person with no server.Another great advantage to cabanas is that it came a storm while there and we just zipped up the sides and waited for it to pass.I included pictures from our cabana in Coyote Springs area.** the only bad experience was the Soaky Shake. I purchased a Boomers Birthday milkshake ($9.99) on my sons birthday for him and it was TERRIBLE. It tasted awful and was extremely runny like the machine wasnt working. We ended up throwing it away.
We stayed at Wilderness at the Smokies and got free passes to Soaky Mountain Waterpark and it was by far the best part of our trip. Such a nice and clean waterpark! The slides were all SUPER FUN!! The lazy river was huge and relaxing and the Wave Pool was by far the best we have ever seen. The size of the pool itself was enormous! Between the size of the waves and the use of saltwater instead of chlorine, you felt just like you were in the ocean!! It was AWESOME! There is something for everyone, even the little ones. The only downside was the price of food and drinks, but the park was great!!!
Park was especially clean and lots of rides to choose from. Owner - PLEASE instruct your security guards to notify, AND post at the initial gate that neither food nor drinks are allowed. We only learned after arriving at entrance gate, after a long walk from the parking lot, with little ones in tow.Food was very good, but extremely high priced for forcing everyone to purchase food, drinks and water at your park, and no carry ins allowed.I read a review from July about unfriendly staff with a promise to correct. We arrived on Labor Day weekend, and still met lots of unfriendly staff. Teach them how to speak to your guests. Without your guests, they have no job. YOU CANT was used a lot. We do not allow or Our policy states that food is not allowed on the grounds; that adults cannot go down the children sized slides with their children, etc. sounds much more professional. Employee attitude should also reflect that they are happy to see you, even when large crowds can be stressful.Work on your staff, and we will be back. From, A local resident.
I absolutely love this place!! I bought a Season Pass the end of June thats good for 2020 and 2021. I also got a Parking Pass. I go to Soaky Mountain, spend a few hours, get lots of sunshine, read a book, catch some waves at the Wave Pool, enjoy a Walking Taco from the Taco Truck, get two refills in my Souvenir Cup, leave $1 tip for everyone, and only spend $15. Not a bad day for a 61 year old Retired Social Worker living on a Pension.
Our favorite water park hands down. The rides. The layout. The kiddie area. Easy walking distance to everything. Not too spread out. Perfect for ALL ages. Mine are 10, 7, and 3. All of them love this park. We spend all day here. We have been 4 times. Staying at the wilderness and booking soaky through them is cheaper right now. :) :)
We stayed at the Wilderness at the Smokies so we got to visit for free anytime during our visit. The Waterpark is great. There are a lot of thrill rides and also a large area for just children. The bathrooms were extremely clean unlike most pool type places and the selections of food were amazing. My one recommendation to anyone visiting, get some type of water shoes to wear because the concrete will tear your feet up and there is a lot of walking to get to one thing from another.
This place was legit. When the reviews say something for every age they are right! I have a 2 year old and one on the way and we plan on getting season passes in the future. 2 awesome areas for kids. The boomers bay has tons for the little ones, but also plenty for kids up to 8 or 9 so they can all stay in the same area. The little versions of the slides are awesome. The hive is also cool, my guy didn’t like the water splashing down on him all the time so we didn’t spend much tome there butParents can go up with their kids and go down all the slides too. We went on a discount day and for $30 was definitely worth it. $15 to park. Got a chicken bacon ranch macaroni at the food truck and my son and I split it and still had some left. Overall awesome park.
Great park....cabanas are awesome and well worth the money.Wanted to add this in...To the owner...you need to give a HUGE shout out to your staff for handling a situation that happened with our waitress during our visit. They were super respectful and made sure they were on point with all of our needs for the rest of the day! All with it being super busy. I wish I could remember their names because they were amazing!
Soaky Mountain has something for everyone in the family. From the great kids area to the more quiet pool with chairs in it. You will find something to enjoy. Lifeguards and medical staff all seem very professional and well trained. I appreciate the warning when what is perceived to be a lazy river has very big fun waves. It’s a really entertaining place to visit.
Love this place! Used our bring a friend passes today. 72 was a tiny bit too cool but that meant no lines. Its a saltwater system. Way better than chlorine in my opinion.
We had the pleasure of having Soaky Mountain as part of our stay at Wilderness in the Smokies Resort and this was THE BEST water park we have been to and we go to one every year. The water was so clear and refreshing. The food is great, restrooms were convenient and clean. The staff was so nice and always said “Have Fun!” Prices were very reasonable. There is something to do for every person no matter their age. The lazy river was so relaxing, the wave pool was the biggest I’ve seen with real deal waves (not for the weak ). We thought there wouldn’t be enough chairs but there is plenty of seating to accommodate the area. We will definitely be back!!
Excellent place, plenty of parking, super clean, lots of slides to enjoy and kids stuff too. Only thing I didnt like is they had two inside showers(in the family changing rooms) to get cleaned up when leaving, showers are outside and unisex. Will be a regular, season pass are to cheap to pass up. Lockers start at 12.00$ a day and up they are eletric and you set a pin to open it no keys, kinda cool. Lazy river turns into a rapid river certain times of the day. Food and stuff all is about 8.95 and up, they have cabanas for rent (extra) also they serve BEER, WINE, AND OTHER ALCOHOL DRINKS NO LIQUOR!
I worked here as a lifeguard and it was the worst experience you could imagine. The lead lifeguards hardly ever showed up if whistled for and the management, Joelle in specific, was atrocious. It was not unusual to stay in the same spot for 2 hours (rotation meant that you would be there for 30 minutes). There were multiple days where I went without food for 7 hours with no break to get my first and only one an hour before close. It is an amazing place to go as a guest and I recommend you do go, but please treat the staff (specifically cabana hosts and lifeguards) very well because they are dealing with a whole load of bullcrap everyday.
We enjoyed our visit but we would like to make some suggestions: 1) you need to fix the warning bell on the Bee Hive. thats too much water to drop on you by surprise. 2) you need at least one short cut placed between the upper level wave pool and lower level kids bee hive area. its too far to walk all the way around every time. also the pavement gets so hot, please keep the sprinklers running on them to cool down the walkways. 3) at the Bee Hive area, the blue slide and pink slide are great for the kids but there needs to be a mirror mounted so they can see that the rider has exited at the bottom. you cant physically see the bottom of the slides without giving up your place in line. 4) we loved the lazy river but not everyone loves the extra rapids. you have a sign advising the time-block schedule for the rapids but you dont have a Clock in sight. please consider placing a clock on the Rolly Macaroni truck and also throughout the park. 5) please add more Gluten Free food options. 6) please add a covered shelter area with picnic tables in the parking lot. ...nothing but love for you guys. we think these suggestions would make your great park even better : )
Had so much fun. The slides were awesome and that lazy river was bomb. Unfortunately the beer and mac n cheese didnt mix well in my stomach. The good news is there are plenty of restrooms. Also loved the bartender. Very nice. Cant wait to come back.
On holiday from northern Ireland. Came with family. Kids 10 & 2. What a fantastic park. So clean and so many rides for my 2 year old aswell. We dont have water parks this back home but we have been to Florida and big water parks in Europe. This was as good as any and the best for kids 2 to 6. Great day
Absolutely loved it. Family and I were at Wilderness at the Smokies. Got our passes through our hotel stay. Black bear Rapids was absolutely awesome. My five-year-old son loved it so much that for four hours thats all we did. Food prices a little high for the quality. Fries were soggy and wet. The chicken tenders were chewy. Subtle suggestion due to the weather they were closing the park. Understandable but trying to get our return stamp was quite difficult as it was too wet when it stick to us. The two girls were doing everything they could. They kept a good attitude and apologized for the inconvenience.
My family and I went last week. Absolute fun for all ages. I was skeptical if there was much for my 2 year old but she had a blast at the Hive kiddie area. My 6 year cant wait for our next trip.
I was completely impressed with this new waterpark. I believe it is the best one Ive ever been to. I love the adventures of the variety of slides. Im super impressed with the amount of areas that can satisfy such a diverse demographic of a family. From very small children through teens and adults, theres something for everyone! We rented a cabana and that was so nice and worth the money! From the very courteous host, Sienna, to the very comfortable furniture, it was an amazing place to get out of the sun and rest. As the park continues to grow in popularity, I know the staff will grow as well. The staff at the top and bottom of the slides need to know the same rules about each slide. Also, if a slide isnt operating, a sign should be posted at the BOTTOM of the slide before getting to the top and finding it out. I climbed to the top of the racer slide, just to find out they were being safety checked. While I appreciate a safety check, I wish I had know that before the climb! Same thing happened a blue mountain. Other than that, perfect park! I loved the rapids in the lazy river and I was super impressed with the wave pool. But neither are ideal for someone who isnt a strong swimmer.
We spent a day and rented a cabana. We had a hostess named Gabrielle (Gabi) who was fabulous. Despite being on the far end of the line she checked on us pretty often and kept up with water for the kids. Her friendliness and general attitude made the whole experience great. Despite the extra cost, if you are spending the day, Renting a Cabana is the way to go. If Gabi is working make sure to ask for one she is hosting. The park is new, sizable and appears to be ready to grow. We got there shortly after 10am and had the pick of places to rent. Unlike other water parks where the Music is so loud and intrusive, we could hold a normal volume conversation in our cabana down in the Coyote Springs area. The kids had a blast with all the rides, Lines werent too bad. The single negative is that the Cabana rentals do not come with a secure storage capability. Im sure that will be corrected in time. There are lockers, but thats a pain with a cabana rental. A very positive experience, we stayed until the kids were worn out and ready to go, right at 7 hours. A 7 hour stay would not have been nearly as good without the cabana and Gabi. With the park being so new, there is very little real protection from the sun without a cabana. They have some covered areas and quite a few Umbrella tables but they arent the same as real cover for 7 hours.
Love this place! Food was amazing! Super friendly bar staff. Matt was our bartender. He was super friendly and very attentive. Love the wave pool! I’m so glad there are no tubes in the wave pool. The lazy/crazy river is our fave! Lots of great kid friendly rides and slides. Lots of chairs and shade. Cabanas look super cozy. I will definitely be renting one soon. Overall pleased all around!
Overall we had a great time this summer....few concerns though.1. Lifeguards had too much to look after... I went down a slide with my child after asking one lifeguard at the bottom if she would be able too....we got to the top that Lifeguard was loading for THREE slides. We got to the bottom and my child freaked out in the float causing me and the float to flip....both of us were in a little panic but I had to yell for the lifeguard to help her.....took his time to get her (no worry in the world for him)but I dont want to leave out the fact that the parks general manager seen the entire thing and was more concerned why I would even try that slide with my child versus why his lifeguard didnt offer help.2. I noticed one lifeguard at the kiddie area worrying more about her summer fling than the safety of the children. As a group we brought 5 kids. I dont expect you to babysit the kids but I do expect employees to be trained adequately and know how important their jobs are
A LOT OF FUN! So much to do. The wave pool is crazy/amazing so much so people kept ruining it. The only down side was the attendants werent pleasant AT ALL, thats why I gave it 4 stars! I had nice experiences with the ladies that managed the snake tubes area so they should really school everyone else that works in the park. I cant say choose here over Splash Country because Ive never been but youll definitely have a good time.
It was not near capacity and still had lines at the slides and the rapid water River didnt have near enough floats for people. I cant imagine how it would be really crowded. There should be cold water stations and sunscreen readily available. I didnt see any. The staff was not particularly friendly but not rude either and reasonably efficient. I did enjoy the ability to get an adult beverage and sit under a pavilion. The smoking pavilion was not well marked though. I sat there by mistake but still appreciated the shade!
Had a great time at Soaky mountain ! We went on a Sunday & ended up getting rained out. They made it right and gave us a refund! We went back on Monday & had a blast! Lines go quickly. The bar staff December and James had great hospitality! And made our time really enjoyable. We will def be back to this place. The lazy river was so relaxing. Overall a great new park!
The park was amazing! My family and I have been to several parks and this was by far the best one. We spent 6 hours there none stop fun!!! My kids really enjoyed it! It was a last minute getaway and it was worth every dollar spent to see them happy! Anyone coming to this area should try it!!
Its great family fun! Definately will be making another trip for the family. Only bad thing is the lines for the slides but they move pretty good. An the bathrooms stink, but its a waterpark so I personally know that bathrooms are hard to do at a busy waterpark. Anywhere! But Great Family Fun! Will return! An hope others find this useful for theyre family trips. I wld definately put this place on my top 5 list! 3 days wasnt even enough to see an enjoy the whole place, bc theirs so much. So definately will be back!
We spent two days at the park. Every one of the employees we encountered were very friendly and helpful but one group sttod out to me. The lifeguards were excellent. Very focused and professional. I would highly recommend this park for families. We look forward to our next visit.
Incredible good! From Dollywood to indoor Wyndham Hotel crossing the street this was a great and much better option.Brand new water park!Lifeguards very sharp. The waves on this place are very rough so keep an eye on children and your self too!Dollywood was packed and closed due to stormy day. Indoor Wyndham Waterpark was full of people without masks and looks filthy and outdated so we gave a try to this place just across the road.We will back soon!!
We had a blast! They had so much to do & the wait times werent to bad. The rides were super fun & the our family had a great time. We cant wait to go back.
It was a lot of fun. Many choices and areas for fun. Very limited food menu. Only beer for adult beverages and pretty pricey. Bring your own towels!
We have already came twice this year! We have been going to the other water park for years, but Soaky Mountain has definitely won our hearts! All of the rides are so easily accessible. There are a few stairs but more ramps! I have moderate to severe back trouble and I can still tolerate the walking here! There are 15 of us and we will be buying season passes next year for sure!
Awesome. Place. Very clean. Nice people. Very nice girl in gift shop checking us out. Great amount of seating plus on that. Need a ride that is made for plus size people and people with disabilities. Would be awesome.
Me and my kids went yesterday to the park and were amazed at how many different activities there were. Theres definitely something for everyone of every age. We couldnt get enough of the wave pool. My one concern was I was gonna try out the smaller slides with my daughter at the beehive. When I walked up the second set of steps, theres water spraying up from the bottom (which is expected) but I turned to wipe my eyes and just as I did, the big honey pot with a massive amount of water poured down and rammed my head into the railing. I have never been hit so hard in my life. I wasnt aware of that as I never knew that water came out so fast and hard. I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Im okay, have a big bruise on my forehead and neck pain but Im just concerned as to a smaller child getting hit that hard. This could be fatal. But I love this place and we all got season passes. We will definitely be back!
Living locally, I thought it would be a great idea to purchase season passes and I am thrilled to say I was right! We visited on the sneak peak preview day for season pass holders the Thursday before Soaky Mountain officially opened and were blown away! The rides are fantastic, the food and bar was great, and the environment provides equal opportunities for all ages! We will be getting great use of the season passes and couldn’t be happier with the purchase.
Im So Glad we purchased Season Passes We love Soaking Mountain Waterpark. Awesome place all the way around!
I spent a lot of money to go here today with my daughter and her boyfriend and management could care less about our experience. When we first arrived we went to a ride that had a scale and a sign to read, which we did before standing in line and waiting for the ride. After about 30 minutes roasting in a line we get to the top to find out that the 3 of us could not ride. I stood there awkwardly while the young kid tried to explain it, then stood there awkwardly watching my daughter and her boyfriend go down and then figured out I guess all I could do was walk backwards through a crowded line of tons of people. At the bottom, my daughter boyfriend found a manager and explained what happened and begged for them to put up a sign which he was told they would not do. So after cooling off in the lazy river, we attempted the line that allowed 3 people. Nearing the top of the line I told a few people that were in groups of 3, so one group came to our side and the other stayed and said he was going to be kissed if that was the case. So the attendants caught wind and called all groups of 3 in front of us to ride the one we were waiting for correctly, and we got to wait some more. The employees were both trying so hard to handle it and explained how many people were fighting mad, and I felt for them. The very next ride was one that required 2 people. I was a third wheel today and although my family would never make me feel this way, the park sure did. I’m hot and tired and felt I wasted my money!
Visited the park today with my wife and our sons family plus one extra (age ranges: 2 in mid 50s, 2 in late 20s, 1 around 20, 6 year old and 8 year old). We had a blast... love the slides and variety of easy going verses thrill rides - entertained everyone. The lazy.... not so lazy river was really a surprise... we really enjoyed the Waves which swooped us all around. This is the first wave pool that is actually a WAVE pool. Not for the weak swimmer.. as with most theme parks, the meals are a little pricy but that was expected. We had variety of food: pizza for the young ones, hamburger (2), chicken fingers, fries, and a couple tried the taco truck and ordered nachos (be ready, its enough for 2). All food was quite tasty and satisfied the hunger cravings. Not all of the water misters were working, as sun warmed up the steps leading up to the slides, it was a good thing the lines were short as the feet were heating up quickly (bring water shoes just in case). We were able to take advantage of a price break ($29 instead of $44) so that helped but wouldve paid full price. We will definitely come back. Just a 2 hour drive from Chattanooga.
We just finished our trip to Sevierville with having spent 3 days exploring and enjoying Soaky Mountain! My 4 year old daughter loved Boomers Bay and the other kids play area. Lots of options and close by so that families really get to enjoy their time there. The food is amazing for water park food and reasonably priced for what you get as well, our favorite was the taco truck and the awesome milkshakes!! Clean bathrooms, shade in kid areas as well as other areas of the park is first come first serve with limited availability but they have great cabana options if you’d like to purchase those for the day. My family thoroughly enjoyed our visits and can’t wait to go back for more!! Soaky Mountain is our new favorite water park!!
Nice water park. The combination of ramps and stairs makes for less climbing than a typical water park. Watercoaster was a blast. Go early and do it first without the long afternoon waits.
The park was awesome. Wish that on the Avalanche water coaster that the floats automatically go to the top cuz those floats are heavy to carry up those steps. The pavement should be kept cool so you don’t burn your feet. It was awesome and I will be back.
My husband, our four year old, and I stayed at Wilderness at the Smokies and our Soaky Mountain Waterpark tickets were included in our stay! We absolutely loved Soaky! There is so much to do here for all ages! My four year old loved The Hive water area and the mini slides! My husband and I loved the larger slides and the lazy river! We spent about 5 hours here and left early due to getting a little burnt! The park is well shaded with umbrellas in the seating areas and in the areas to eat. We got burnt due to having too much fun and not paying attention to sunscreen reapplication! My only input would be if Soaky would install some sort of umbrella like structures that provides bits of shade on the entry/exit walkway and around the curve that takes you down to Boomers Bay. That concrete gets hot!
This water park was only a few months old when we visited so Im hoping theyre working some kinks out of their system. We visited on a Sunday at the end of August and found that showing up right at opening was the only way we got to ride each slide at least once. Around 2p things really started to slow down and we started to feel like we were baking dry in the lines more often than being wet. The park was understaffed so even though lines werent particularly long they moved very very slowly. The lines were sometimes chaotic when it wasnt clear where to collect rafts and when people waited in line for one slide but went down another at the last minute. Dont even consider the obstacle course type attraction unless there is no line. For some reason they insist on having two ppl compete side by side and go all the way back to the beginning to start over if they fall off. Instead of having them hop back in line to try again while someone else gets a chance to cool off and possibly go through very quickly. My kids waited in the direct sun queue for about 30 minutes watching this slow agonizing scene play out before I finally pulled them out (red cheeked and lifeless) to go try another line.Youll find the typical young staff running the attractions with the typical dead eyes and lack of enthusiasm for their job. Of course understandable when you consider the volume of stupidity they probably deal with on a daily basis but always a buzz kill when you feel like your excitement for the experience is a burden on someone else. The raft racing slide was particularly slow as we stood waiting for the green light about 15 minutes while the body slides around us sent down about a dozen riders each. A woman finally asked why it was so slow and the operator said they have to wait for it to clear at the bottom. Knowing full well they dont let you splash about leisurely at the bottom and that this couldnt possibly be what was holding things up both times we rode, I paid attention when I got down and sure enough spotted the operator who presumably gives the all clear signal, using a device and chatting with a co-worker. Another time I noticed an employee loading a sports drink display and a couple of bottles started rolling off down the path and were stopped by a woman who alerted him that we was loosing his bottles. He looked over his shoulder, made an annoyed grunt and just turned back to his loading so the lady walked off and the bottles rolled on.My 4 year old had a great time in the hive play area, my older kids were really impressed with the wave pool, I liked the low height requirements so that the whole family could stay together and the staff worked very hard to keep the bathrooms clean. Unfortunately, in the end we left the park 2 hours before close (which is unheard of for us) because we were just tired of baking in the sun in line for a 1 minute thrill. Overall this is no Orlando water park so dont go in with those expectations. We had a decent time and I didnt feel like it was a waste of money but as we walked back to the car we werent talking excitedly about our favorite rides and when we might be able to come back like we normally do after leaving a theme park tired and satisfied. Some improvements I would like to see that would entice me to revisit would be: more staff to keep lines moving and organized- with more cheerful dispositions, more trash cans in ride lines (maybe ppl would put their empty alcohol containers in there instead of on the stairs? maybe..) foot path misters to keep paths clean and cool, misting fans on the long winding hot walk back to the exit.
Our Cabana host gets five stars. Christina was nothing but amazing!!! However, some of the Cabanas have TVs, fans and radios but ours did not. We were informed that all the electrical work had not been completed yet. So be careful when booking one of these. Wish we would have known... Also, there was little to no social distancing. The lazy river was PACKED. So much so, people were basically on top of each other. Regardless, we had a good time and the food was good. We will reaturn next year and we hope Christina is still there!
Its so much fun!! Our whole family had a blast!
The rides were great although really only 5 good adult rides. They were very fast and anyone using them should be a good swimmer. The wave pool was extremely strong and there are no tubes or even noodles. Rather dangerous for weaker swimmers or smaller people. You expect the entrance fee to be a bit pricey, but $16 to park and $15 for a locker is way too much.
For the price I would honestly go to Splash country. The lazy river here was a blast with the waves. The wave pool beat the hell out of us all. The kids play areas are a little bigger and more fun for the little ones though. As far as the slides go there is a comparable ride at splash. The food options are nothing special. The milk shake booth is a great idea but all but one of our 4 were very milky and not so much shake. I expected a bit more so my money will go to splash country from here on out. It is beautiful and new also.
We went here on Sunday, the rides was fun for the most part. The lazy river was good and had good waves. We liked the wave pool. It was just so overly crowded and the wait time was unreal. I think they may be a bit understaffed because there was 3 slides in one area and one girl was working all 3 slides which made everyone have to wait that much longer. We would go again though
My family of 6 was there Monday July 27th and we had a great time. The only thing they were disappointed about was after carrying their tubes to the top of the slide to find out it was not running...there should be a sign at the bottom saying it was closed. As far as everything else .....it was great. We rented cabana 41 and the ceiling fan & phone chargers were a great touch. Our server was Holly and she was wonderful...( Give the girl a raise) The only thing that got to me was the hill going out at the end of the day...but I stopped several times and all was good. We will definitely be back. Thanks for having a fun place for all to enjoy.
We live locally and love that it’s not crowded like splash country is. We even went on a Saturday and even though it was “busy” it still was no where near as busy as splash country. Also the employees are amazing. I had my 8 month old in his stroller and he was napping. The young boy that was life guarding near us took his umbrella and put it over the stroller to keep the sun off of my baby. I was speechless. Also there’s a taco truck and 2 bars, how can you go wrong?!
Great place to spend some family time!! Food is good, but expensive. Easily spend 100 bucks for food to feed 4 people. Rides are great!!
The water park is awesome. So big and so many things to do. Food is good and the staff is very friendly and helpful. There are a few things that need improvement. The lazy river is dangerous when it is wavy, it needsto be toned down a lot.The concrete is very hard to walk on in some areas because it is really rough.I do recommend this water park
Some employees will tell you one thing and then others tell you something different. Almost every time weve been to the taco truck theyve changed us for toppings we didnt receive and the fountain drinks are often just soda water. Id chalk it up to them being new and working the kinks out (hopefully). Other than those minor issues its fun and clean.
This aaterpark is awesome! Went on a week day so it wasnt too crowded and the kids were able to ride the rides again and again without much wait! All the lifeguards were very friendly and for sure trained well! Clean place, felt very safe and cared for while we came!
We had a blast! The lines move quickly and there is plenty to do for all ages
This place is awesome! Great family park very clean. It wasn’t too crowded so we didn’t have to wait more than 15 mins on any of the rides. They also had a huge pool for relaxing after your tired from all the rides. Lazy river extreme and taco truck were great too!
Nice place. Grandkids had a blast.
My kids love it. Isba good waterpark for all ages we have a blass we are goint back next year.!!
Soaky Mountain water park is the best way to spend ur summer....from the food to the staff working there. Me and my family where so impressed we bought season passes! It’s mostly young kids working there which in most cases would drive u away but not there they where so respectful and kind I was shocked I wouldn’t have wanted to spend my summer vacation anywhere else!!!
This is a great waterpark. The lifeguards are changed often and they do an excellent job. You will be walking on cement so on a hot day I suggest something on your feet. The only drawback of wearing water shoes or sandals you cant wear them on a waterside. So we were our shoes if walking a ways and didnt wear them while riding. Be sure and drink plenty of water, you can actually get free water at some of the places where you by drinks. There are cabanas to rent to get out of the sun. Theres plenty of lounge chairs you can use under umbrellas that are free. We had a Great time a must do in the summer.
Very nice Waterpark. Clean and fun for all ages. The only reason I have it a 4star is because of the lazy river. It generates waves which we knew as the workers were holding up signs. We went around once, it was perfect and a lot of fun. The second time we saw where the wave was being pushed out and we thought we were behind it and ok...we were not! It sucked us back in and flipped our tube. Had it just been the adults I would have been fine but our young children were with us and it scared them so much they are still talking about it.
Kids loved the smaller kid sized slides and play area. Waits were not bad for big slides even with pretty full park.
We visited Soaky Mountain this past Friday and Sunday. We had a decent time but I feel like there are some things that need to be addressed.Friday- While at The Hive with our children there was a slide closed. We asked about it and was told it’s closed due to numerous injuries from the pressure of the sprayers but it had been fixed. They just had to have people test it before it could reopen.- We waited in line for 30 minutes to ride the water coaster and as soon as some of our party sat down in the tube to go next, there was a loud alarm and it shut down. The previous rider wasn’t propelled up properly and they were stranded in one of the tunnels. We waited an additional 30 minutes for it to come back up but it didn’t. According to the employee working the slide, that was the 10th time it had happened that day.Sunday- Slide at Bee Hive was still closed.- We stood in line for what seemed like forever to ride the mats down the Splash and Furious ride. With 4 people going at a time, the line usually goes pretty quick. Once we were at the top, we quickly figured out why the line wasn’t moving. There was one guy named Chase running 6 different slides. He was too busy flirting and trying to fake out a group of girls on the red drop slide and must have forgotten there were other people and 5 other slides running. He would even go and watch each girl at the bottom when each one of them were finished. It was very awkward.- We ate lunch around 1:55pm and several things were out of stock. This surprised me and seemed very unprepared for middle of the day on the weekend.- My son was injured in the Raging River when him and his tube were swept up and onto the top of the wall from one of the waves. He scraped his back all up.
So fun! So clean. We were really impressed with the variety of slide types. They keep the lines moving really well.
We had a great time and there is so much for the littles to do!
The best water park Ive been to hands down Im 23 and my adrenaline was pumping!! That water coaster is so fun and will make you scream the food i got from the bistro was perfect all condiments are free even ranch!! We will be buying season passes next year!!
The staff was very friendly and attentive. None of the lifeguards seemed distracted and they were very quick to jump in if some issues arose. The slides were fun but not too fast, and this park was very family friendly.
Little chilly when I was there but best wave pool. Great waves big fun.
Best Waterpark!!! Price was great. Lazy River was so much FUN with the rapids. Lines move fast and there is water misting on you to keep you cool in the lines.
This park has some neat and different rides! We had a group of 5 adults and we loved it! Some rides though have to have an even number of people so my suggestion is if you are planning a trip, be sure to bring a group of 2, 4, 6, etc...On another note...Parking is $16 which Im still confused as to why you have to pay for parking when youre a paying customer?? Food was overpriced but thats to be expected with any park.
This place is really nice. LAYOUT was the best part. Lazy river is the nicest Ive been in. Pricey, but what isnt here in the smokies
FUN for ALL! Visited as an activity on a family vacation and bday celebration. The waterpark did not disappoint! We had a BLAST...so much that we came back for a second day. Blue Mountain Mayhem for the win! Best time to arrive is when the park first opens to avoid lines.
Great water park lots of rides and has a really great lazy river... Also has a fantastic kids section!!! Could use a bit more shading throughout the park and a few more dining options... My kiddo had a great time!
Great water park!!! Park, bathrooms, and changing rooms were all very clean. The staff was very friendly and fun! Their version of the lazy river was by far the best I have ever seen, also had great ride. Will be returning!!
So much fun. We took 3.5 yr old twins and didnt leave the kid section but there was a ton of stuff in that area. Saw the staff cleaning and sanitizing multiple times in the 3.5 hours we were there. Walk back up to your car is a beast at the end of a long, hot day but not the worst.
Anyone who gives a bad review based on them not requiring masks needs to stay at home! This park is amazing! So much fun!
Our family had a really nice time at the Soaky Mountain Waterpark. The park doesnt offer many rides but the rules are really lenient. We will definitely revisit in the future.
Omg best in the world i loved the epic waterslides 10000000000000⁰000000000000000000000% recommended
My step-dad and I went here earlier today and we both had a great time! The staff here were all very nice and were wearing masks. The slides were really fun, too. Masks were enforced inside restaurants and shops. If you didn’t have one they would give you a brand new one. Social distancing rules were mostly being followed around the park. The lazy river and some of the queue lines did get crowded, though. Most of the lines went by fast. The food here was good, too. There are a couple things to be careful of, however. The wave pool has large waves on from time to time. There was one point at around noon where the waves were massive. I would only go in this wave pool during these times if you’re a very strong swimmer. I consider myself to be a good swimmer and I was having some trouble. The lifeguards had to make a rescue during the very large waves, but they did it perfectly. Also, the concrete pathways around the park get VERY HOT. I would heavily recommend bringing a pair of some sort of water shoes to wear around the park because if not, the bottoms of your feet will be burnt by the end of the day. They did put some water sprinklers in some parts of the queue lines for rides, so that helps your feet cool off, but there were only a few on the paths where most people walk. My favorite ride was probably the Avalaunch WaterCoaster. I definitely recommend it if you come here. The Snake Den tube slides, Rainbow Revenge, and the slides at The Hive were very fun, too. I really recommend this park if you’re in the area. Just bring water shoes.
Awesome water park.. large area for the little kids. Lazy river has big waves every 2 hrs.. big slides for adults were fun. Definitely recommend..
My family loves it here. Season pass holders bc its worth it!
I am impressed with this waterpark, we always have a blast here. Everything is close enough that you dont feel like youre walking for miles just to go to one ride or to one pool.. and they also have a regular pool to relax in and that isnt too deep, so fit for everyone.
What to say about this place.. Simple.. Avoid it unless you pack a load of money.. Paid $50 for two tickets since we were staying at wilderness at the smokies... What they neglected to tell me was there is a $16 charge for parking.. IF the tickets were refundable I would have left...but if of course they are non refundable... You can bring a cooler in..but no soda...just water....So.. $50 for tickets.. $16 for parking... You would think the food would be reasonable... But no... A small 4 slice little pizza is $10.. Drinks are $5 and refills are $2 each.. They even charge $3 for s small cup of piece...Now for the staff... Some are vey friendly...but most of them wont even bother to answer simple question..and if they do its a snoty reply.. This place is less than a week old and this is how the staff is acting... I will never return to the place..
This place is awesome! Went there for the first time today. The Wave Pool waves are a little on the “Too Strong” side though. I enjoyed the Lazy River, too!
Great place for you and your family awesome day.
Cabana was great! Waterslides were awesome! Our waiter for the day was very attentive! Will be back. Contemplating on season passes.
This place is insanely amazing. There is so much stuff to do, even for toddlers. We loved it so much. Everyone was so nice and helpful-- a little young but so much energy that makes the place fun.
This place is horrible. Expensive isnt even the word. Then after paying half our group was heavy people but got to the top of slides to be laughed at and told they couldnt ride. Then the kids who paid full price because they are taller but lite weight couldnt ride half the slides either. After bringing our concerns to the director of customer relations she said she would be back never came back. Also left my info to call me and still no call. I will make sure this doesnt become lasts weeks news. Delete and redo my reviews every other day if I have to.
The park is Fun several water slides. To enjoy, wave pool is top knotch, lazy river is a good place to lay back and enjoy and float around.but not enough tube floats.to many people walking the attraction. The kiddy area looked fun for the younger kids. The park itself was a little crowded but still enjoyable. Food is average. Drinks are cold.staff was nice and friendly. I would Recommend the park.
THIS PARK IS ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING. 3 of us went for July 4th weekend. The water slides are unique and so much fun, and the water coaster is a thrilling experience for sure. We liked the food from the Rolly Macaroni truck so much that we ate there for lunch both days! We highly recommend the chicken bacon ranch and the garlic shrimp. The lazy river and the wave pool were both loads of fun! The employees are super helpful and seem like they love their job. The water temperature is perfect. I cant say enough good things about Soaky Mountain, the season passes are worth every penny!
We had a blast today at Soaky Mountain Water Park. The slides are incredible. The kids’ areas are so much fun- especially the swings in the water. How creative! Everyone was nice. It wasn’t crowded, so we felt like we could space out to maintain social distancing. One piece of advice I would offer though is this- the waves in the pool and “lazy” River are waaayyy too strong. We have been to Atlantis in the Bahamas, where the lazy river also has waves, so we thought we knew what to expect despite the signs warning about waves. We were wrong. My 1 year old, 5 year old, and myself got flipped off of our double tube in the lazy river. I held onto the 1 year old and had her above water in 10-15 seconds once I got my footing again. Luckily, my husband had been walking beside our tube, and he was able to grab my five year old. Both girls had life jackets on but were still drawn under water initially by the strength of the waves. No lifeguards seemed to realize we were in trouble. I walked the rest of the way holding my 1 year old, but every time another series of waves came, we were almost taken under again. We also witnessed multiple rescues in the wave pool. Only very strong swimmers should be allowed in the lazy river or wave pool during waves. A lifeguard should’ve warned us we were about to find ourselves in danger as we got into the lazy river with our children. But- the rest of the day was amazing and we plan to go back Labor Day weekend, but we will not be doing the lazy river during wave hours.
Ok, first off, online the tickets are priced $2 cheaper than they are at the gate. They do not let you know online tickets will be more at the gate. When you first pull in to pay for parking, the sign says $15. What it doesnt tell you is- plus tax. Online it states: All active-duty and retired military personnel receive 15% discount off daily admission tickets purchased at the gate. TICKETS, with an s. They would only give my husband the discounted ticket, no other tickets. (His wife, nor 4 kids) I called and questioned about what their website says. The lady I spoke with told me that meant possessive. Umm... no lady, it doesnt. After I hung up with her, I looked at our receipt again only to realize they didnt even give my husband his 15% off... wont be going here again. Other than the complete shock of the price, our kids had fun.
We love it. Hope to come back for years to come
