“This is not a park” it’s more of a nature/forest reserve!. Google will run you behind a office and away from anything. There is only one place to actually park but it’s hella sketch and you have to walk the road a lil to the NRO/DNR gate. Along there u will find a old access path but it is reclaimed by nature so if you go during warm weather be prepared for tick central

Directions to place are horrible leads you to the back of some building in front of the woods which leads you to nowhere. Actually got lost in the woods trying to find anything

Trail has been reclaimed by nature, but if you are Keen on following game trails its not too bad. Wear thick pants, and be prepared to fight thick briars. Saw plenty of blue heron, and a few ducks. I did pick up a few ticks!

This is a preserve only, not a park. There is no official entrance or parking. You can park in one of the many office parking lots nearby and enter wherever you can. The only trails here are those made by deer so plan and dress accordingly. It really is beautiful, serene and quiet!

TL;DR: Lovely but OMG the TICKS!This is reclaimed nature and is amazing if you want to go bush wacking through the woods. However in May there are TICKS. and ticks give me the HEbe-Gebies. My friend and i pulled about 20 total off of each other. THe next day i am still finding them on me. Id go in the winter when there are no ticks.

Parking for the trails is very inconvenient and sometimes unsafe, according to how well the vehicles using the road keep to the 30mph speed limit. There is room for one or two small cars at the pull-off up the road. You then need to walk back along the road and across a bridge, where there is not much of a shoulder, in order to reach the gated entrance to the trails. The trails are not marked and I ended up losing the trail, bushwacking quite a ways before once again hitting the trail. Two small bridges are in disrepair and are barely serving the purpose. It would be nice if the trails were repaired and parking was more readily and easily available.

Google took me to some Office buildings. I then proceeded to drive around the area for an hour trying to find this park and I never found it. So signs, no parking, nothing. I heard there were trails here but as far as I can tell, there isnt anything here.....

Awesome quiet place to walk in the woods. Not paved, natural paths along the water. Great for fishing, bring the dog to swim. Small site where they have bonfires.

The trails are not marked well at all, causing me to get turned around multiple times. Theyre also not kept up so I was having to push through thorns constantly.Could be great if it was marked and maintained.

Much to our dismay nude sunbathing and swimming is frowned upon here.

1600 acres of protected wilderness, multiple environments with huge variation of species of both flora and fauna. Pristine clean water in the severn run. Little to no human interference inside protected areas. Hiking level is expert, bring your brush wear to push past thorns and be prepared for steep inclines and declines. Be prepared to take long way around for certain spots. Beautiful, gorgeous, lovely woods. Be prepared for wild animals, saw a tortise as big as my 80lb dog. Be safe watch out for snakes, deer, and other wildlife, respect their space in this sanctuary.

Do NOT follow Google maps here! It will not take you to the correct location. It led me to a parking lot behind a business and yesterday the maps took me to a different park. Ended up at an apartment complex.
