I only saw the small part of the area on either side of new Hwy 50. The river frontage in rugged and beautiful with lots of areas to explore.

Has a steep boat ramp. Few camping spots. Love walking in the woods for mushrooms ect. Fishing along the river.

Love fishing here 10 conservation ponds and the river itself. Smallies, crappie, blue gill. Some of the ponds have crystal clear water. Great for sight fishing.

Well managed area teeming with fish and game.

Excellent for pets to get out and walk around. Beautiful & peaceful any season of the year. PLEASE do NOT leave trash so that others may enjoy the natural beauty!!!!!

Nice Quiet Place.

Very nice ramp down to the river. The ramp is long and fairly steep and may pose an issue for older people and others who have trouble walking. The bank is not cleared for lawn chairs or other outdoor seating. There is plenty of parking for your vehicle with and without boat trailers. This river is shallow and slow moving in this area, perfect for a relaxing kayak or canoe trip. There is a railroad crossing the river here, and it is fun to see the trains crossing above you.

Over 6,000 Acres of public use land for hunting, fishing or hiking. It has the river and multiple small lakes and ponds. A boat ramp on the river. Abundant deer, Turkey and small game.

I was unfamiliar with the area, and driving in the general direction looking for a place to view the solar eclipse after our original plans fell through. It was super easy to find by following the signs, not very crowded and there are many secluded areas and communal areas that are all easily accessible by car.The scenery is breathtaking, you can walk in the woods in most areas, there is a river... a lot of stuff to do. I had a blast, and we will definitely be coming back to explore more!

Peaceful.. Plenty of stuff to do and the fishing in the ponds is ok.

There are no public restrooms. Anywhere. But several good spots for mushroom hunting, fishing. Good dove hunting spots on north part above old 50.

Access on both sides of highway 50. I prefer the south side access, myself. Good mushroom hunting...beware of poison ivy, though.

Nice roadside Park and picnic area. Historically, Jesse James and gang jumped and robbed a train from the cliffs here by the track.

Steep boat ramp and banks. Restroom. NO camping.

Seen 2 doe and a mountain lion in my morning hunt !!
