Beautiful old building in a great neighborhood. Very friendly staff, and very transparent about costs and the pros and cons of the building. I am looking forward to getting married here next year.

We had our wedding here recently and we were really happy with the Great Hall at Green Lake. This is an affordable venue for a wedding (or wedding reception in our case) in a city that is no longer affordable. Plus, the location cant be beat--great pictures at Green Lake before or after. This is a unique building with plenty of space -- we had 70 people but the place easily fits 250 +. Layout is simple, the owners are easy to work with and clear on what they provide and what youll need. The also offer garbage service for a fee, which was completely worth it. Highly recommended. One thing to keep in mind for this place is that it doesnt have AC (as many other reviews have already mentioned), so if its a summer wedding, plan to have it in the evening and keep some fans going. We knew this before booking and so there were no surprises. In short, do your homework and make sure this space caters to your needs. This is essentially a space for rent (and a fabulous one), which provides the basics : chairs, tables, a PA system, a small kitchen, etc. You are in charge of set-up and clean-up unless you book this through another company. The Great Hall was clear with us from the start, paperwork was easy, and they made good on what they offered. Overall, we were really happy with the experience and wouldnt change a thing. If youre thinking about using this spot as a possible venue, DO IT! Youre not going to find a better value in Seattle -- especially in Green Lake! Thank you Great Hall -- we are grateful for the experience.

An amazing museum! Has artifacts from all across fennoscandia (a word I learned there) including a whole viking ship, tools, clothing, weapons, toys, and food. They sometimes host lectures about the history of Scandinavian immigrants in Seattle and related topics

A great wedding venue for the DIY couple! My husband and I used the Great Hall as our wedding and reception venue and were very pleased. We were able to tour the space, hold an hour-long rehearsal the day before our wedding, and had plenty of time to set up on the big day both with help from our day-of coordinator (she stayed for about an hour to help us with the lights, tables, etc.) and then on our own for the rest of the afternoon. Everyone we planned/set up with was friendly and accommodating, but also not at all pushy. Our only recommendation would be to host an evening wedding if youre getting married in the summer. There is no AC in the venue and it gets quite hot in the afternoon, but cooled off nicely by 6pm when our ceremony started. Thanks, Great Hall!

This place is beautiful, and I will always love the memorys Ive made here. All that being said, I was stood up the first time I was supposed to see the venue, they NEVER get back to you and it took well over the 22 days to get my deposit back (which was a total breach of contract). When emailed for the deposit, I was offered no apology. The women just seemed annoyed with her coworker/sister and that poured through to us. NOT how I imagined spending our wedding.

Let me be clear to people considering this venue. There is no parking. If you see Republic parking on your Google map let me save you time. There are only about 8 spots at PCC that are open beyond 90 minutes. And you will not be one of those 8 people. The second Republic at bartels or key bank only allow customers for a short visit. Street parking is extremely limited and if you plan an event people will have a long hike in except for 2 obnoxious people who find a nearby spot and declare there is no problem finding parking. I got to a Saturday event 40 minutes ahead of time and it took 30 minutes to find a spot.

I love the Great Hall at Green Lake! I have photographed several weddings and parties at this fantastic, intimate venue. There are very few historic buildings that have such a light and bright atmosphere. The venue makes a gorgeous backdrop for photos and it provides a stunning location for any event. Most of my clients rave about the easy-to-navigate rental process and how its just across from Greenlake. We usually do photos at the lake or at Gasworks prior to the wedding. Check out a few photos!

We had our wedding here in June 2015. It is a wonderful space, and the coordinators for the venue are super easy to work with. They know many of the caterers and venders in the area so its easy to talk about possible setups. They provide more than enough tables and chairs. We had a guest count of 130 and we felt that it was the perfect size for that group. The Great Hall can get warm in the summer so bring fans for the windows! It was in the upper 70s low 80s our wedding day and with 130 bodies it was warm! We highly recommend the Great Hall.

This was a pretty nice venue, we went here for a friends birthday party and had a lot of fun. It was very spacious and has a small kitchen to prepare food, as well as an assembly area with a stage. Next to the assembly area, there is a smaller room that we spent most of our time in for a more intimate feel.
