My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights; the hotel is lovely but the service at the restaurant is what earns this establishment five stars. Grandy waited on us and took great care with us and other guests. We were sitting near a couple with a food allergy and I saw her go above and beyond to ensure that his food would be prepared as ordered. Tiffany also provided us a fantastic bar service. We hope to return soon. Kudos McCormick Ranch for choosing and retaining excellent staff.

Dont play here unless its $40 green fee. Or atleast dont come September, October, November. This course must have a drought.Just look at the pictures posted by golfers. Fairways are the worst shape Ive seen a golf course have. Worst in the whole pheonix area according to my local friends.I cant believe they are charging 140$ to play here. I think the reviews are good because locals can pay an annual fee for unlimited golf.There are 55$ courses with easy better maintenance.

Very neat course. Im a visitor from OH and I enjoyed this course. The clubhouse was very nice. I did not eat but i saw some others plates and they were well presented and looked good. This place boasted a friendly staff. Guys were on the ball to assist with clubs and they cleaned them afterward. Cart girls were common throughout the 18 ready to provide beverages. I was very pleased with my 18 at this course. It was very scenic as well.

I just used driving range, but the course looked nice. The driving range was nice, affordable, and open to the public. They had a nice putting and chipping area. Staff was great.

Decent course layout. They had just opened it up the day before after reseeding but neither greens or fairways were ready. Then I left my range finder on my golf cart. I was one of the last carts in for the night and called the next afternoon assuming it would be found. They didnt have it. Very disappointing.

Did not believe the course was worth the $100 I paid. While the course layout is nice, the fairways were basically rough and the greens were some of the slowest I have ever played. the course is just no where near many of the other options in the Scottsdale area.

Very disappointed. Booked online with golf now and received a confirmation email, called the office to confirm my tee time and was later called back saying that they could not honor the price I paid due to it being mispriced in their system. Overall I feel that because this is their error and not mine, the price I paid should be honored.

I am sure it is a nice enough course but I gave myself an hour to hit the driving range and I selected their course because online it said they were open until 6. I showed up at 4:40 and they told me they were closed. Unfortunately by the time I get into my car and head off to the next golf course they are closed also. If your intention is to shut down early it would be nice to change your website!

I play McCormick at least once a month all year round. Never slow play. The views are great. Best value and location in town. Friendly staff!

Beautiful scenery and the staff is awesome! Unfortunately, the course is just not in very good shape. The tee boxes and fairways are pretty bare. Greens arent bad but for what they are charging, it just isnt is in great condition. Go across the street and play Camelback!

My first visit was a month ago with a couple of friends that frequent. Quickly became one of my favorite weekend sunshine spots. I would spend the whole day here if I could! Exceptional dining, beautiful resort, getting better at the golf! Love love love!

Had a fun day at McCormick. Played the Pine course. Thought it was in great shape. Got off around noon and played in 4 hours. On Sunday? In Scottsdale? Cant beat it. Ill be back!

Lovely courses. Semi approachable prices. The only downside is the staff. Im not sure theyre angry about us being there.... But they sure arent happy about it. The practice facilities do get congested but its a nice and challenging set of courses. The Palm Course is the more scenic of the two.

I had not played McCormick in over 4 years and now I remember why. Greens where horrible and fairways not much better. Not worth the $75 each we where charged. Way to many golf courses options to play in Scottdale in the summer for a much better rate.

Nice resort. Didnt enjoy the vibe I got. it seemed too strict and not laid back at all. I played the pine course for a practice round of a professional event. Small greens (which is fine) in a little rough condition. Not a super unique course but not bad. Better ones in the area for a cheaper price.

Very pretty view of the golf course and Camelback Mountain. We had eggs Benedict, which were delicious, and the menu had many other good choices. The hash browns were excellent, golden brown and crispy on the outside, white and creamy inside. Yum!

Here for a conf. Had a good stay. Food was great. The facilities were getting a little outdated and old. Pool areas were nice as well as the views.

Our foursome played here last week on the Palms Course. The course wasnt in great shape due to 1.5 inches of rain earlier in the week. The course should have discounted the rate a bit, in my mind, yet they did not. One of our golfers had a walking boot on his foot and the course would not make an exception for him on their cart path only rule that day. Generally the course was dry enough that one cart wouldnt have damaged things, but the McCormick staff wouldnt budge. That sucked for our golfer with the bad foot. If I had know beforehand, we would not have golfed there.

Course was in incredible shape for this time of year. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Always heard good things about this course and it did not disappoint!

Had the opportunity to photograph a wedding here in May. Great team to work with! Very friendly and kind and helpful. My bride and groom loved them as well! It was an all-around top notch day and a lot of that was thanks to the incredible team! The views here are gorgeous right on the water and the mountains! Its an awesome location to get hitched.

My son in law and I played 3 rounds on the Palm Course last week while visiting Scottsdale for Spring Training. We had a great time. Very personable staff. Course was in great condition. Loved it and will be back for sure. Thank you for making our golf experience everything we had hoped for.

So disappointed!! The course should of been closed due to the rain storm from the night before. We went on and quit after the 7th hole due to the many rivers and small lakes created from the storm. We complained and they were indifferent. No customer service of any kind. We will never be back!

I go here only for the food, no golfing. The view is great if the course and mountain. The food is excellent traditional fare with kind and prompt service.

$75 to play a $40 course.. played 5 holes with the sprinklers going off on the greens, 4 holes with a cart that would barely run and a rude ranger that yelled at us for not having the carts in the path while we were behind the cart signs. I told the staff about our experience and he said what do you want me to do about it! Absolutely will never play here again, horrible experience. Trust the reviews, wish I would’ve

Always fun courses to play. Palm is a bit more challenging than Pine but both are going to bring a big number out.

Great driving range and practice areas

I play fairly often during the summer and have always been impressed by the customer service the staff at McCormick Ranch provides. Having been in the customer service business myself for most of my working years I appreciate individuals who go above and beyond; I am being taught a new level of service the staff at McCormick Ranch provides, impressive and I for one appreciate all they do in a business where complaints often override the good the staff does. For the first time I allowed myself a treat, trying to watch my waistline I do watch what I eat but today I ordered from the grill. Chicken tenders with French fries. I could not believe just how tasty the food was. I wasnt starving but as I had a medical test earlier I had not eaten. The tenders were just that, tender, with just the right amount of crunch. The French fries were a tad too salty but that was my doing as I should have requested the fries lightly salted. The chef/cook provided a garnish of lettuce and a tomato slice. The tomato slice was not a thin slice but a healthy one. I rubbed the salt off some fries onto the tomato and enjoyed every single bite. This may not sound like a big deal, but it is relevant in that the staff pays attention to the little things, the little details which make or break a business. Kudos. Keep up the fantastic work!

Mediocre experience. Course is decent but is often so busy that its a bit of a zoo.

Not a bad trac to play. Played Palm course. If you dont know already, take approach shots shirt of pin almost no matter what. All greens slope to front and theyre quick.

Just played there this morning. Course was fine, but Im still in shock over being shamed by the woman who drove the beverage cart. I bought water and a Snickers from her at the turn, $6, tipped her $2. Around hole 14, she came around and I bought a water, $3. Since I had tipped her 35% the first time and only had three $1s left in my pocket, I only gave her $3. She looked at it and said, You forgot the gratuity. I asked if that was required and she said yes. I dug out my wallet and handed her a $10. Instead of giving me change back to decide what amount to tip her, she just returned $8...I guess her thinking must be that her high level of customer service was worthy of a 66% tip. What if I only had $3 left on me...would I not be able to buy a $3 water? Next time Im back in Scottsdale, Ill be playing a different course.

I have many reasons for leaving a bad comment on this web page. This golf course is in great condition with the worst staff i have ever experienced in my lifetime! I went to use the restroom before my golf round on Saturday September 14th and it smelt horribly of weed. The only person in the restroom was a staff member named Andy I saw lounging in the bathroom! He was not working and looked to be under the influence. This is a shame because I have been golfing here for over 40 years and this staff is not fair to the quality of this course. Please fix this situation now you are loosing money because of your staff.

Course was in good shape, cruised through 18. Only negative is that one drink cart for a 36 hole course is not enough, only saw her once on hole 17.

Big greens, roll great. Fairways tight but fair. Staff got us in and going. No complaints. Great restaurant too. Had the three egg omelet for lunch.. thumbs up.

Great place for a weekend trip with kids. Train ride and carrousel are inexpensive and well maintained. Scale train museum is a must. Good place for a picnic and for outside family to see.

Layed on Easter morning. Course was in good condition fairways and greens all in good shape. Bunkers were hard and compacted and looks like they were just with by sprinklers. Greens felt like that ran slow. But all in all was a great day.

We played golf at one of the courses available here; The Palm, which was funand very well groomed! The scenery wasvery nice with water present! The greens were in great shape and made putting enjoyable! We ate at the golf club restaurantand the service and food were terrific!Definitely making a return trip to golf andget food!

Course in excellent shape! Greens rolling true, tee box to green full and lush! For summer golf you cannot ask for better conditions especially for how dry this season has been. Ron in the pro shop was professional and very informative, outside service was also professional and willing to help from the time you arrive to the time you exit the 18th hole. Thank you for an awesome experience will be back again soon.

Charming and busy! Mexican food restaurants are a matter of what your used to, I think the food was not good compared to restaurants I have been to. But the waiting was long, all the seats were full. So there you go.

Had a great 18 holes here on the palm side. The pine side was closed, so the course was a bit crowded. Lots of water to avoid, so it was challenging for my level of golf.

McCormick Ranch used to be a pristine golf environment. Now it is below most municipal courses. I am so disappointed.Ownership and management must not care and believe it doesnt matter. Too bad. I wont be back.

Course is nice but management of play is lacking. Maybe just a particularly bad draw but our 4some was waiting a minimum of 5 up to 10 min each hole through all 18. Marshall was by multiple times and no help.

The two courses are well maintained and the price is right, as theyre on the less expensive end of the spectrum. The issue for us was it was too cold to play at 7:20am and the greens were very inconsistent, having just been overseeded. All in all, a good value and conveniently located.

Not taken care of. Look elsewhere to pay $50-70

The course is fairly well keep (otherwise it would have been one star), but they are overrated for there price! We golfed there Saturday this last weekend and it took us nearly 6 hours to play 18. It seems like it is more about making money than a quality golf experience. Every hole was backed up and the ranger did nothing to expedite play. They pack as many people on the course as possible regardless of how it affects the players. There are other courses in the area that cater far better to the customers experience. I cant in good conscience reccomend this course.

This a favorite golf course. 72 holes so it doesnt get so busy. Not a lot of desert on the course, which is great. The pricing fluctuates but its usually lower than similar quality course. The course is walkable too. And it has a very good practice area.
