The kids really Enjoyed the movie friendly staff and very clean environment

Its a standard no frills movie theater. I really just want them to upgrade their seats like the rest of the AMC theaters. Its really clean in the theaters and bathrooms. Thats a huge plus.

Nice theater to see movies at. This theater has great concessions. They have self serve coke machines and slushies. Also this theater has a bar for your enjoyment. Only thing Id like to see here is the reclining seats.

Pretty good overall but I find it odd that there is another AMC literally 2 minutes down the street. Theyre pretty much right next door.....

I came here on my 29th birthday to see Ralph Breaks the Internet. The ticket prices were high for me and my mom. Almost $20.00. But, on the plus side, there are plenty of snacks, and drinks to choose from. They even list the prices of candy. Their popcorn sizes can be generous. There are 3 Coca-Cola Freestyle machines and 2 frozen drink stands. Its like all you can drink between the two when you buy a drink, so you really get your moneys worth. You also have the option of becoming a member

For a Sunday, at 5pm, it was very MESSY and unorganized. Floors by concession stand were so sticky, that I felt I really couldnt pick my feet up. We were in 12, for 5pm movie and it was HORRIBLE. Nothing was cleaned up from the earlier show. Floor was bad.People have been saying how the Showplaces are going down hill. This is the first time I have seen it with my own eyes and now, Im starting to believe it too.Please, change your ways, people are going elsewhere....Showplace is convenient for me, but I will drive elsewhere, for better atmosphere and cleaner areas.

Easy access to parking, family friendly, helpful staff, clean restrooms and theater. Easy to use kiosk from debit or credit ticket purchases. Super fast staff at concessions.

This company has a lot of nerve charging what they do to see movies in a dump. It is poorly taken care of, seats are broken, carpeting ripped, food all over the floors. There are no lounge chairs, yet they reserve seats. What if you get a broken one? Are you supposed to sit there through the whole movie. The only good thing about these theaters (12 and 16) is that they show indie flicks. Other than that, dont waste your time. There are much cleaner and nicer theaters for lower prices available in the area.

Bought tickets through app and arrived at location 15 minutes after time starting (8:15pm), wasnt interested in previews. Barely got inside building as they were locking the doors. Luckily tickets were still good when they scanned the qr code, which staff wasnt thrill as I wasnt going back home and losing on the tickets. No popcorn was available but was able to get a drink. As usual people talking during the movie. Difficult for staff to control unwanted noise. People just dont know when to keep quite. Next time I know not to catch an after 8 movie. Then again, I dont work at a theater.

A nice theater. Staff is pleasant. Needs to update to the more comfortable seats. Theyre decent though. Easy access to restrooms & concession stand.

My husband and I went to see the bad boys movie tonight, it was horrible someone decided to bring a whole day care to the show with them. 1 adult and 8 to 10 kids ranging from 4 to 9 the whole time they were talking going back and forth fighting and singing. At the end show I told the manager, she not to much to say other than we sent someone in to check at that time it was a packed house. Not one time did she apologized or offer us free tickets but offer another couple tickets because someone sat in their seats but they were also able to watch the movie as well.

The cloth seat that i was sitting i was musty it smelled like underarm odor. You can tell they havent steam cleaned the seats. The popcorn is good the prices are super high Ive been to better theatres.

This is an alright place in the age of over priced theaters. Feels like you dont get much for your ticket price but, with AMC having a monopoly of the theaters you have to accept that. A little dirty inside and the lobby has sticky floors. Arcade is outdated to say the least. Popcorn was burnt which is only a big deal because of the price. There was advertising for beer sales but I did not see said beer or any alcohol for that matter. The screen and sound quality were good. Could use updates to add value to the experience

Nice clean movie theater right in the middle of a lot of great restaurants. I have no complaints.

I been coming here for years now but today Connor greeted my 4 girls and I with so much excitement so polite. I had to ask him for his name. He mention how he just started working and how today was the first day left alone. He was full of excitement (melted my heart) when I asked him for his age 15 still in school! So awesome! Love how showplace gives students the opportunity to work!!

Always a fun time with the family! When you purchase your tickets you now can or have to pick your seats on the screen which is good and bad maybe?!?

Typical movie theatre. Floor is dirty and the ticket prices are high. Staff is friendly and they offer all the big ticket movies that come out. I reccomend the matinee since its half the cost and you have the theatre almost to yourself.

Stubs card is definitely worth it. Went in for a 7:15 showing, got through all my purchases in about 5 min (slow day). And paid all together about $50 for two tickets, large drinks, and a large popcorn.

Loved the customer service the manager was so helpful when I order the wrong tickets! Cant remember her name but I really appreciated her help.

Most other theaters have upgraded and remodeled to the theater seats. This theater charges 8-11.00 dollars for a old theater with small seats and sticky floors. Rather would go to a better theater for less money

Clean beautiful theater

First of we came on a Monday, so I expected the place to be clean. Our ticket taker was nice. The food counter was dirty! Plus the young girl who waited on us needed more training. The movie seats where good. The bathrooms not so good! Its a Monday so all stalls should have had toilet paper!

The Schererville AMC is well kept, and patronized by a community of nice and friendly people. On this day I was able to catch a popular movie in its opening weekend with an ample number of available seats due to the number of screen options... the theater include IMAX, 3D, and standard viewing options. Ticket and concession prices are on par will nationwide overpriced options, and the selection is plenty including pizza options.

This is a good theater because they always have a large selection of shows playing and a wide variety of times for each show. Plus the staff are really nice, on more than one occasion theyve set aside a popcorn refill for me when I was at a particularly late viewing and they were cleaning up for the night. They didnt have to do that but were more than willing to hook me up!

This place has been a good place to catch a movie when Im back home.

I just go here to watch movies with my friends and family. Theaters are decent and chairs are ok to sit on unless you are watching a 3+ hour movie then your bum will start getting tired. The food and snacks are overly priced but I wouldnt know the quality of the food since I never bought any food.

I really like that they still honor The AMC Stubs Premier members. Some of the AMC Theaters do not acknowledge the Stubs Premier members. What sense does it make to pay the annual membership fee if it is not acknowledged? Thanks Schererville AMC!

I like these theaters - however it would be nice if they perhaps changed some things up and installed some dream lounger chairs. However - its a theater - its clean and the staff is nice. :-)

Went to 830 show. Movie started at 850 pm. Concessions was closed at 904 . Why didnt anyone say anything at time of purchase or have a sign. Needed a refill on popcorn.

This movie theater is top-notch! Its very clean, there are many ways you can pay for your ticket, and the food is ok, (you know typical movie theater food) youll have a good time there :-)

I came in the other day to see happy death day 2u and was so happy with service I received. Geena was behind the concession stand and she was super friendly, warm, and outgoing. She was a beam of sunshine on a cold, winter day. I was also surprised by how fresh the popcorn tasted and now incredibly clean the bathrooms were. Will definitely be coming back soon!!

I prefer the 12 to the 16 (right down the street) if I can see a movie here rather than there. The 12 is less crowded :)

Average nothing that makes me look forward to going back. But if you live nearby, it wont disappoint

They need more waiting benches! I hate standing when im waiting to enter the teatre, because Theyre cleaning before letting people go inside! Another thing the seats where kinda cramped. Not enough elbow room! Many theatres now a days have launge chairs. For better accomodations.

Not as nice as showplace 16 but a pretty good theater

This is a good theater. Its newer and a little better than 16, despite not having an IMAX. The seats are nicer, not to mention they have cup holders that can hold the free water cups.

A decent venue for movies. With the Stubs and Popcorn Bucket promos you have the makings of a pretty cheap date. The soda is self serve so you could go crazy with Coke Freestyle flavor combinations. Stubs members have express lines at the box office and concession stand, dont hate me cause Im special. The overall appearance of the lobby, theaters, and restroom is clean. My only gripe is the inability to raise the armrests-drink holders between seats.

There for a kids movie, and it was comfortable, not too cold or hot. We got to pick our seats which is nice.

Seats are very small. Menu is ok. I tried the chicken taco bites and felt a little ripped off. I guess I should expect that though. Screen quality and sound were good.

They need to bring these theaters up to the standards of their other theaters. People tell me that other AMC facilities are really awesome. Cant say that about the ones in Schererville.

Last few times I have been there, the wait for tickets is extremely long. It isnt fair to have your customers wait forever because you wanna get rich by having only one teenager work up front.

You now apparently have to pick seating as you are paying for tickets and it ruins the movie going experience. It is way better picking seats as you would have normally. Why change something that is not broken. Causes more problems than solving. Seen a couple arguments over it. I really don’t see a reason for it. I hope they get rid of this policy. I would give 5 stars otherwise.

Alright movie was good went to see Godzilla. But the seat I was in wasnt. Movie theater 3 seat M7. You can feel the springs and the arm rest is good just a metal slab thing

AMC 12 is actually newer and better than 16. Is more organized and the seats are better. We always enjoy coming here

Nothing special just a standard AMC. Little older and in need of a little bit of a face lift.

What you expect in local theater. Also, bring earplugs if you have normal hearing. So loud it is physically painful. Join stub club to get price breaks. Major complaint was if you get large bucket of popcorn which comes with free refill, they have twice used the used, dirty bucket itself as a scoop to refill. Disgusting and unsanitary.

My loving boyfriend brought me here for the first time and i loved it..nice and clean..probably mostly because he surprised me with dinner and a movie just because...

The only reason I gave them 3 stars is because of the wonderful employees. Super helpful & friendly. The seating seemed pretty uncomfortable.

Most of the drinks were out, as was the butter ... And the kicker was no toilet paper. Clearly they cant handle all the changes

A wonderful theater. Lots of movies available every day. A great place to take your family or a date.

Place is very clean. Staff has been friendly and helpful when Ive needed assistance. Although concession is expensive, I help reduce my costs by going before 12 noon where cost are generally $5.49 per admission. Its a very safe and comfortable environment. Great family atmosphere but not noisy. Surrounding business district provides additional amenities for after-movie fun also. Bathrooms are very clean. Parking lots are safe. Well, I hope this covers everything.

Madeline was incredibly rude to me and my son. Not only was she rude to me, but she was also incredibly rude to her fellow employees. She clapped at them and told them to help us even though she could’ve. I said that to her out loud and she rolled her eyes at me and scoffed. I cannot believe that she is a “crew lead.” Disgraceful. So sad to see that these are the people you promote in this company. Will definitely not be coming back. I’ll go to cinemark from now on. Worth the drive to not be treated like trash. Hope she gets talked to and reprimanded.

A pretty large theater with many rooms and several movies to pick from. The parking lot is a decently big size, which is great because this place gets crowded pretty quickly. Theres a bunch of foods and snacks to choose from as well since AMC has their own menu.

So expensive. Really only have it two stars because 1. Now you can reserve seating, and 2. They serve French fries. Otherwise, AMC blows. Their rewards program isnt even good anymore. Ugh

Local movie theater wish they would update all the theater rooms. Plus side they added alcohol beverages.

The food and drink options as well as their quality were good. There are self serve drink stations which were convenient. The temperature of the theater was comfortable rather than the typical sweater weather conditions Ive grown accustomed to elsewhere. The sound and visual quality of the movie were high. The sound was not ear piercingly loud.I didnt like that they stopped offering popcorn an hour before 1 of the movies was finished. Our movie had at least 30 minutes left and we were eager for a refill on our giant overpriced popcorn bucket. The seating was cramped. I kept bumping elbows with the person next to me and the as rests were plastic and scrstchy. I ended up sitting in an awkward position trying to avoid the scraping and bumping until finally it got so bad I decided to move and sit by myself.

Very polite staff and accommodations are usually clean and available. I really like this theater. We go there all the time.

Nice workers. Moved quickly through getting tickets and popcorn. Seats were comfortable. It wasnt super crowded and was quiet. Bathrooms were clean. I appreciated being able to put my own butter on popcorn, and get my drink as desired.

I enjoy going here for movies during the early part of the afternoon. Its always so peaceful & quiet and you can really hear whats going on while watching the movie due to the more mature audience. Seats are very comfy too.

Nice place to see a movie. Took a star off because there was a huge mess (popcorn, wrappers, etc.) in the seating areas made before our showing started, probably from the showing before ours. They usually clean up between movie showing times so dont know what happened there. The womens toilets were a bit of a mess too. For the most part though, nice staff, fairly comfortable stadium seating & no major distractions during the movie showing.

This place is great for watching movies.

“Manager Courtney” is super racist. She asked for my child’s birth certificate. After showering her a picture of it she goes on to ask for my ID . When I told her I left it in the car . She asks for my sons step dads id . Of course his name is not on the birth certificate. She says I can’t let you in he is not the father in front of my 6 year old who has no idea that the man wasn’t his father . Thanks to this experience - my child hates his step father . Thanks ALOT AMC

Good place to see a movie, clean theaters, clean restrooms, friendly staff. My negatives would be no recliners or assigned seats. Come on upgrade already. Also popcorn is sometimes not fresh or too many crumbs. This place would be a 5 if you only installed recliners get with the times already.

I feel like the movie theatre it self was ok. Over priced prices make sense because it is a movie theatre. Also, customer service was really good the food came out quicker than you would expect. So no problems there. The seats werent the most comfortable, but they werent horrible. Just dont put your phone on your lap lol. Fell right through the hole. Picking seats is also good. Letters are on the floor numbers are on the seats. So that system is pretty good except when its dark. if you want to spend 15$ on pretzel bites and large icee this is the place for you. I feel people forget to rate the theatre for the theatre and rate it for the movie. So hopefully this helps.

The the movie theater is a great place to watch the movie when it 1st. Comes out and great butter popcorn and slushies.

Usually clean. Always has the latest movies. Staff is always pleasant. However, you cant quite cuddle here. The armrests dont lift up.

The line here is always so ridiculous!! What is the point of buying my tickets ahead of time if I have to stand in a line for 20 minutes?

Good place to see a movie. Food and drink are expensive as thats where they make most of their money.As with all 3D movies choosing a seat is very important. Try best you can for the middle otherwise youre left with a funky viewing process.

I saw 2 movies this day. The first theater was entirely too warm and had a broken armrest with no signage which I didnt notice until I scratched my arm. The second theater was cooler but still warm. This may be due to the fact that it was warmer than the previous day but this should have been taken into account and the air should have been adjusted. Overall, it was an average experience.

I really like this place. However, not to excited about the new kiosks. The stubs card did not work with them. We had to get someone to process the tickets.

Nothing wrong with the theatre or employees, just that (in general) movie theatre prices are way too high. Common knowledge, I know, but just putting it out there.

Newer facility. Standard Cinemaplex-like fare. Well maintained. Wed cancelled & upgraded our tix and the employee that helped us was most helpful in recognizing that transaction, getting us in line quickly for the film.

Very comfy seating and decent priced tickets.

Needs reclining seats and doesnt serve beer like at the Icon Showplace theaters.

Cleanish theatres, clean bathrooms, fast service, no complaints other than the employees all seem miserable. Morale is at like a -1/10. Im not sure if they need better mindsets, better pay, or better management, but something should change

Best movie theatre in the area several years ago. Has been dethroned by nearby options with recliners and full bars.
