Cassandra did my tattoo last night and I am in love with it! She was so nice too, everyone is super professional, the whole shop is spotless, and the quality of the work exceeded my expectations, and they were already pretty lofty expectations! I 1000% recommend this shop and can not say enough good things about Cassandra especially! This was a memorial for my brother. So super important and she just knocked it outta the park! Thank you!

Kris took the time to explain the process and the history behind the daith piercing and migraines. Piercing was quick. Some pain on the drive home but havent had any pain since. Which is super surprising considering its a pretty thick area to have pierced. Ive been following the cleaning regiment with the solution I purchased there. Hoping the healing process continues to go smoothly! Kris and the staff are super nice. Check in process was quick and easy on a mounted tablet. I only waited for max 10 mins though apparently they can have longer wait times, especially on Fridays and Saturdays. Looking forward to getting tattooed by Cassandra there next week!

Im not a fan of needles but I walked out with 3 piercings all in one shot. Needless to say, The experience was everything I was hoping for and more. He asked me questions about where I wanted the jewelry, he drew multiple markings before piercing so I could chose which one I liked most, gave me breathing cues and made sure the whole process was as smooth as possible.

Paul did a really good job with my first tattoo. Put his time and effort into it. Made sure to give him a nice tip for fitting me in. Definitely coming back for my next one.

Anthony is the best! Very talented, thumbs up for sure! I’ve gotten 3 tattoos from him so far and counting, including a cover up! He does such an incredible job of takes my ideas, and designing up the perfect tattoo. They are so detailed, I am beyond happy with all of my tattoos! My friend and I were walk-ins today for some ear piercings and had such a pleasant experience! We were helped right away by Cody who is apprenticing here and he was incredibly helpful in advising us on some things we hadn’t considered (such as not piercing both ears at once due to discomfort sleeping, what would heal fastest & make the most sense to do in what order, etc). He was knowledgeable and very patient with our questions. Kris was the person who actually did the piercing and he was SO SMOOTH. It honestly was the most effortless experience and I am not good with needles or anxiety. Between Kris and Cody, they were both so professional and kind and helped the entire visit go smoothly and quickly.Thank you both so much!

I had Kris pierce my cartilage and triples and he did a great job and explained everything to me along the way, which I really appreciated. All of the workers were friendly and helpful. Inside it was super clean and I was confident that I came to a good place for piercings. I’ve heard so many horror stories about cartilage piercings, but this place was great! 10/10 recommend.

Highly recommend! Relaxed atmosphere!I gotta say, I really enjoyed my experience here. It’s a large updated place that’s got some really good artists working there. I noticed right away, that it was managed well, which made the whole process smooth and didn’t waste any of my time.

Walked in with my friend to get my nose piercing switched out from a stud to a hoop. Even though it was a Saturday evening we didnt have to wait too long. Kris was super friendly and happily answered our questions. They have high quality piercing jewelries for good prices. Highly recommend :)

I’ve been coming to this shop specifically for over 2 years.. even followed one of the artists (Anthony) over from his previous spot, I get a weird anxiety about walking into new spots because you never know how things can go but it’s always a great time coming here. Every single artist has their own style but i’ve been around enough times to know they will work with and do what they can for any customer and they’ll never turn anyone away because they have artists with more depth/creativity than you normally see around. To run a good shop it has to start from right when you walk in; the people at the front desk are always welcoming and they don’t make anything a process like at some places and i think this place hits the nail on the head with all of it. I never planned to look for another shop or another artist and I highly recommend anyone here from tattoos to piercings, and even tattoo removal. Friendly, welcoming, CLEAN, and overall just a good place to get tattooed.

I got my piercing done at atmosphere by Kris. I was recommended by my friend who got all her piercing done by him and he was honestly awesome. A lot of sanitation and clean place.Friendly and great environment pricing is good as well. If you need a piercing I would recommend Kris he knows a lot about it and explains everything very well.

Recently got a flash done by Hyesook. She was so easy to work with. Tattoo artists I’ve been to in the past have been intimidating, but she was passionate, easy to work with and the quality was amazing.

The guy (his name was Kris) pierced my friend’s septum and I guess something broke with the needle and he started cussing and yelling. He kept poking at her nose 3 to 4 times to “refix” the piercing. It was painful to watch. After he put the septum in, he kicked the cabinet right behind him and cussed his way out of the store. So unprofessional and I wouldn’t even suggest coming to get a piercing here.

Kris is SO AMAZING I just got my belly re pierced over my scars tissue I would have to say he know what he was doing and he explained to me the whole process.. and also told the right way to keep it clean and he also recommended a cleaning solution!! The girl in the front she’s so nice! While I was waiting we talk a little bit.

I was really looking forward to getting my first tattoo with my best friend! We searched all over the place and heard that atmosphere was a good place so we checked out there website, it stated “feel free to ask us any questions” and when we did they just said come in ( we live an hour away by the way ). We decided to go on and was told to wait for an artist named Faith, they ( they as in the artist ) where just walking around the store and had us waiting for almost an hour for the consult. When Faith finally realized we where waiting on them, they came up to us and told us they can do our tattoo and that’s it no questions or design ideas or anything just an “ok talk to the front to make an appointment”. We proceeded to do it and emailed Faith our idea then confined to explained to them that I will be moving out of state so if they can just email me the tattoo sketch I would appreciate it, they said no and I followed with a “it would help me out a lot” and they never responded. I just left that as that and the Morning of my tattoo day AtmosphereTattoo called me and asked if I can come in an hour later but I was already on my way. “ I said it was fine” and just drove around a little then I got another call saying that Faiths car broke down and they can’t do it today but In a week. I move in 1 day. It was all super annoying. They made me still come in to get my deposit, did not offer another artist and couldn’t do anything for us. HUGE WAIST OF TIME, LACK OF COMMUNICATION, and overall made a first tattoo experience terrible! Maybe other artist here will be better but Faith was just terrible... and I will be moving states tomorrow without a matching tattoo with my friend which sucks even more... damn this sucks

Called to make an appointment for my kids piercing and was told it was not necessary that walk-in are welcome. At no point was I told that I needed a birth certificate for each child. I drive 35 minutes to Atmosphere and as I walk in they take each of our temperature and has us wait briefly. This is when they said we needed a birth certificate for my kids ages 14 and 16, I was I was never told of this and I drove 35 minutes. They said it’s there recently change policy. I asked as of when they said 1st it was last week but I told them that I try to make appointment on Monday take was not mentioned she then said it was change on Tuesday (how convenient) I even search on their website and found nothing along with no signage on the door requiring birth certificate. I try to call the manager and was told owner Jeff was not there but if he was he would not honor parents with no birth certificate. Taking my business elsewhere where customers are not profiled by the color of their skin.

Kris pierced my 2 cartilage piercings and did an amazing job. It was super easy and he was super friendly!

Only had a piercing done but the place looked super clean had professional staff. I had perfect timing but i was in and out within 20 mins. Daith piercing done by Kris. He was straight forward and a pro. After explaining the process and aftercare, piercing was quick and easy. Piercing and placement of ring was done in 20 seconds maybe. Excellent and would highly refer for piercings. Havent gotten a tat there..yet.

I went to Atmosphere Tattoo Gallery while visiting Chicago. The place itself is quite nice however, we waited 50+ minutes for small walk in tattoo. I called ahead of time and was told it would not be too long of a wait. I got a small forearm mandala tattoo which was not done well. I noticed uneven lines, some smaller lines were incomplete. While getting the tattoo done I remember each line bled which is generally not the case for me. Please note, I have multiple other well healed tattoos and I am in the medical field so I know how to take care of my skin. If I lived locally I still wouldnt go back and have it revised because I dont have much faith. Please review the attached pictures and judge for yourself.

I got 3 micro dermal piercings on my wrist. Kris Hackenson is an excellent piercer, hes very knowledgeable and experienced at his craft. He is also professional and makes you feel very comfortable during the session. The healing process was quick. The staff is great and I definitely recommend.

Terrible customer service.. no reply from tattoo artist waiting two weeks for a reply... nothing.. wanted to see a outline before appointment date to see if I like it or if I want to adjust a few things but no reply.. no reply equals me not showing up to the appointment sorry.. I highly recommend this place. Dan did our tattoos and they look amazing!!! Its was my moms first at 71 and she couldnt believe how much it didnt hurt!! Before and after lol. Dan is an amazing artist, the shop is clean, sterile and very friendly. I will be going back to have some of my older tattoos touched up very soon. Five stars is not enough!!!

A few good artists at this shop. Choose wisely...don’t get yourself stuck in Chris Toms chair, he’ll trick you into doing a elementary level tattoo that will look muddy & too dark to see with the thick line work. Don’t be fooled looks good at first & like trash later. Seen it a million times first hand, he work in my shop & ive received one to many return for redo or touch ups. Don’t waste your money on a mediocre tattoo get in the chair with one of the better tattoo artists there. Or click my name and you can come see me.

I had a beautiful piece done by Cassandra. She had a super light hand and is highly talented! Cassandra was super sweet and took her time on my tattoo to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. I will be back there for future tattoos and I 10/10 recommend this place. It’s full of amazing talented artists! Oh and the front desk Becca was very helpful at the check in process. I came all the way here from Round Lake Beach, IL, after checking about getting a third eye piercing. I was told, upon entering, that they are not doing dermal piercings. However when I called them I was told they would do it. When I brought this up, I was just told, Sorry, hun.So I drove an hour and wasted gas for nothing.

For the actual piercing procedure he first explained everything, which really calmed my nerves! I have been here for piercings by Kris several times and I cant say enough about how great this place is. By far one of the cleanest tattoo shops Ive ever been in, and it is really a beautiful shop. Everyone here is really nice and friendly. Some tattoo shops can be a bit intimidating and sometimes the staff can be rude but thats never the case. They are super chill and make you feel right at home. Kris is a great piercer, he always takes his time and finds the right placement and jewelry so that Im happy with my new piercing. Hes also really funny and makes every experience memorable. I highly recommend this place, theyre the best.

A wonderful roulette of tattoo work. Either you get great art from an experienced artist, or you get pseudo professional drawings labeled as “traditional” to excuse the fact that the work is both mediocre, and uninspired. Buyer beware !

Came in today to get my sisters nose pierced & change up my tragus piercing (couldn’t get the piecing out for a year) Kris was AMAZING. Super friendly & very informative. I strongly recommend this shop, especially Cassandra who gave my step daughter an amazing tattoo. Shop is modern, and clean, the young girl at the counter was so friendly and helpful- she walked us thru the check in procedure, I spoke with the piercer Chris about setting up a appt for My wife, he was awesome. As well. Ok so those are the pros, onto the cons the shop manager is horrible- Im actually shocked that she is allowed to RUN this shop. Shes rude and gave us nothing but attitude because we were 10 min late. I actually wanted to get a tattoo by any artist that was available, but decided against it. Because of her. With out her and her attitude I would give this shop 5 stars. Its a shame because RUDE people suck.
