A nice place to come with kids. Several short trails, less than a mile in all.
Pleasant, level walking trails through this lovely 45 acre wooded preserve. Benches to take a seat and enjoy your surroundings. There were lots of Ebony Jewelwing damselflies out here. Some cool old trees along the path and colorful birdhouses in the trees!Bug spray is a must, I forgot mine! Deer flies were pretty fierce without it.
This trail had some interesting fallen trunks followed by marshy, squishy ground; dips in the trail where one is met with mud and slippery rocks and logs is a pattern here that boots are most suited for. Tall socks or pants and bug spray are a must.At the time of this review, late July, beautiful and constantly shifting array of butterflies, moths, ferns, frogs and toads, moss, mushrooms, and flowers of all sizes. A perfect shaded trail to walk with my dog who is big with deep black fur. Even on a full humidity, 90°F day this trail was a comfortable length and enough shade for my dog and I.Star detracted because it needs some intense vine maintenance at spots.
Safe to walk your dog
Lots of trails, could be better marked
Nice quiet collection of trails. Some were more overgrown than others. There are some benches along the paths as well.
