A true gem of a park in upstate NY and all of Northeastern US. The park is truly unique, you will not find another one like this in the Northeast. Besides beautiful territory with golf courses, vast plaza complex, lawns, forested areas, ravines, and streams, the park features multiple natural mineral springs. You can (should!) try a sip from each spring, as the water is pristine and healing. The healing properties of the water have been well documented and known for centuries, but gradually lost to public awareness over the past 100 years or so. Each spring has unique mineral composition and taste that you will not encounter elsewhere. The water has generally been used to improve digestion, but must only be consumed in small quantities (sips, not mug-fulls). Also dont be shy to wet your face, neck, and arms/legs! Aside from the water itself, the springs emit vapors that have a calming and relaxing effect on the body and mind, helping you feel rested and at peace. The scent from the Parks plentiful pines helps clear the head, build immunity, and clear away stress. The park houses a spa offering mineral baths and other treatments, a theatre, a couple of museums (my favorite is the Automobile Museum), a boutique hotel, and a performing arts center. Lots of space to roam, whether walking or cycling. Many covered picnic areas, a massive scenic golf course, a stream for fishing, and lots more. Whats not to love. Come and enjoy! And welcome to Saratoga Springs, NY.

Very well appointed Park as expected given the area and its history as a luxury resort. Many museums to see and the grounds are extensive with a mix of trails and walking paths. Fall foliage was in season and there are plenty of opportunities for photos and to simply enjoy the season with a walk. Trails are very easy and suitable for the casual.

Great place to take a long walk. You can pick trails that go through meadows, along a trout brook, through mature forest, or just walk the outside perimeter on the paved path. Its a big park. A popular path is marked as the 5 Mile Trail, you can pick this trail up most anywhere in the park and walk as much of it as youd like. There are many other things to do in this wonderful park as well. There is SPAC, the famous performance art center, a car museum, a community theater, tennis courts, 2 swimming pools (1 adult, 1 with kids water features), an 18 hole and 9 hole golf course, mineral bath house and massage, farmers markets, multiple mineral springs (bring some spring water home!), playground, 18 hole (2x9) disc golf course, pavilion rentals, softball fields, a nature center, a tree nursery, the Gideon Putnam hotel and dining, the Hall of Springs for catered events, and a winter season outdoor skating rink. So much to do!

The place is absolutely amazing. Wish we lived close to it.Clean, safe, peaceful. Offers tons of amenities from playgrounds to hiking trails. Tons of barbecue grills, benches, tables, courts, pools, and bathrooms. The coolest thing is that it has taps with spring/mineral water and you could bring a big 5-6 gallon water bottle to fill it out for free :)Great for a day or just a walk on the trail for an hour. There is a concert outdoor arena too but I’ve never been inside.Fantastic place

Great park, full of springs - Some good, some not so good. There are lots of trails, a pool that is currently closed as are play grounds. Admission to the geyser area was $10 for a car. Several people had multiple jugs they were filling up at the state seal spring. There is a great trail/walkway along the river. The park also seems to be dog friendly. Great place for a bike ride, run or long walk.

Easy walk around the park on a beautiful day. Viewing the geyser was interesting to our kids in their twenties too. Wired coffee shop was a bonus at the end of our walk. We tried the music walking tour but found it distracting to the sounds of nature that we preferred to listen to. But with that being said, the music would have been nice if I was walking alone.

What a lovely park. The pool was closed when we went but the pool looked really fun, waterside and all. Multiple playgrounds for the kids, lots of trails for hiking, spots for fishing, grills, picnic tables, and springs turned into water spouts to fill your bottle with fresh natural spring water. The park is clean, safe, and well maintained.

A fun, easy park to take a short hike or to bring a picnic. Get a yearly pass if you live nearby. Itll be worth the expense. Just know the geyser has a giant generator not far away. I suspect that the geyser gets a little assistance from Edison & whomever invented the electric pump.

Saratoga State Park is one of the best parks in Saratoga. As a runner, its easy to find various routes with tons of variety to keep you exercise interesting. As a photographer, my couples have always loved going to the park to take their engagement or family portraits. Since the grounds are so expansive, there is no shortage of beautiful places to shoot! The park is dog-friendly, so there are always a few pups running around too in the spring and summertime, which I view as a great bonus!

Saratoga Spa State Park is a beautiful place to relax. The gentle terrain offers picnic areas, shady stream side trails, suitable for the nature-lover or the casual walker, as well as certified running courses used by joggers. There are fountain springs all around the park. The fountains have signs that read that the water has medicinal benefits. I know people from all over the country to enjoy the benefits of the water. I did taste the water and some fountains had an effervescent taste to it while other had a refreshing taste. I highly recommend this park if you’ve never been before.

Absolute delight! You or you and your family could spend the entire day here. Getting lost in the woods on the trails, cycling, playing Frisbee golf, cooling off in the pool, having a picnic or taking a sip of each of the springs.Highly recommend having a visit. The one items that I do wish would be a bit different is the admission fee. If there was any way that could be $5 instead of $10, I believe more would visit. That said, try to not let that be a deterant, its worth tha $10.

Theres so much to do here its almost daunting :-) Miles of trails, playgrounds, two pools, and all the spring water you can stomach! Plus there are several museums in the grounds, including the Automobile Museum, and there is a nature center open in the summer. We come here during any season of the year and go hiking or wander the area. In the winter there is a warming hut, and in the summer the springs open up.
