An amazing venue to see a concert. Make sure to cone early in order to explore the nearby town of Saratoga Springs and the park surrounding the venue.Inside the amphitheater you can roam around the grounds as the music plays. The tall pine trees surrounding the lawn area provide a scenic pleasure that not many venues have.Sound is always great!

Great venue, the scenery, sound everything. The lawn is huge but you gotta get down front to really see and u can hear fine long as your not in the way back on the concourse. Only thing preventing me from giving it 5 stars is the wait and chaos at the entrance. Only 5 metal detectors for thousands of fans. Get the crowd in quicker, all other venues can without a problem. Yes there were 2 cops at the gate just watching over the crowd for protection as there was in the parking lot. Cops didn’t do anything wrong, they were patrolling and not busting fans for drinking or smoking pot. I will definitely come back but will get in the line earlier! Didn’t even have to wait in line to get a beer either!

Ill never give them4 or 5 stars only because Live Nation is greedy. $19.50 service fee per ticket for our concert. You can only bring in bottled water. Back in the day before SPAC, you could bring in anything and have an affordable experience. But the show was great, the seats were comfortable, the ushers were friendly and helpful. I go to SPAC every few years for a show (Phish). It is okay. I like inside better as you can really see and hear the band better than on the hill. Being low on the hill gives some visibility of the stage. Being higher makes for a minimal visual experience. It’s the crowd that makes the experience a negative one. Too much smoke and talking. And carelessness with their liquids. Everyone stands so don’t expect a nice relaxing evening spread out on your blanket.

Great facility needs someone to think about what to do in case of torrential rain. Was just at Friehoffer Jazz festival on Saturday. Luckily we were able to upgrade our lawn tickets to indoor seats, thanks for that. Having been to many of these festivals in the early 80s to 1990 and a couple since, I was wondering if this festival was as good as before. Maybe, I think it could be. This is just a thought. In years past the music on the main stage started at 12pm. Now the main stage he has a DJ that plays recorded music until 3 p.m. Meanwhile at the smaller stage they have small groups that play I Believe from 11 until the end of the show. My idea is, maybe when management knows its going to be a soggy weekend, they can switch the acts. I was watching a great band from New Orleans brushing rain from their clothes. Meanwhile their were thousands of people getting soaked. Why not switch venues and allow anyone into the shell till the main Acts start? Simply make everyone exit the shell even if they have indoor seats. Then once emptied let those with seats back in?? Living in Rochester, where we have a great jazz festival, it will take an amazing lineup for me and my friends to journey 300mi and spend 2 nights in a hotel to come back. And that is a shame, because its a great place on a Beautiful city that I visit often.

Great place to go see a concert in the summer time. The music sounds great here for an outdoor amphitheater. They have seats inside the amphitheater that are covered. Plus you can always just get lawn seats which you can bring chairs to sit on at most shows. Plenty of food and drink vendors at the events which are held at this venue. Some photos I took from the lawn while I was there last.

Arriving at SPAC you quickly realize there are many different lots to park in, the cost is $10. Unfortunately once you pay knowone gives any direction as to where you can park. Once parked follow the signs from whatever parking area to the entrance gates. The staff were friendly and helpful, upon entry, everyone must have their bags etc searched. This did slow down entry but was nice to see. Digital ticket holders had to see a second staffer who then printed tickets for entry. Once inside SPAC, there were plenty of tents for drinks including beers, wine, soda, iced tea, hard cider and water. Unfortunately the prices were ridiculous, a single 24 oz beer was $12.In addition to food and drinks there were multiple tents to purchase souvenirs such as shirts etc. As for restrooms, there were many port a potties available and little to no wait. Once seated and the concert began the sound system was excellent. The staff continue to circle and take drink drink orders. Once the concert was over leaving the venue was orderly and the wait in traffic to reach the main road from the parking lot took leas than 30 minutes. Had an excellent time. Great venue!

Great place if you pay to sit inside. (Can not comment on lawn seats...that is not my style.) A little problem with rude seat hoppers. They kept moving up into unoccupied seats. Great place for concerts and event. Very clean and safe. Keep in mind that depending on the event the security can be vastly different. For example, any kind of stuff that will attract the younger crowds (rock concerts, rap concerts etc.) then security will practically strip search you. Yet if you go to the ballet you can practically walk in with a mini bar and and a blunt in your ear. (exaggerating a little ... maybe)Hit up the lawn seats if you want to have and little freedom and have quick access to bathrooms, food and drink.Hit up the inside if you want to have specific seats with and little more structure.

SPAC is really neat open theater experience and I would recommend everyone. However, when sitting for other events aside from concerts such as ballets or performances, the seats are pretty uncomfortable and very very close together. When you are on the lawn, I think it is a bit more enjoyable but theres a very good chance you wont be able to see the stage so youll have to watch from the TV screens that they have. My advice to anyone who has one tickets is to prepare and come very early to get a good spot. It gets very crowded depending on the event you go to. Drinks and food in the park are outrageously expensive, so unless youre okay with spending $5 on a regular bottle of water, try to eat before and bring your own drinks.

Recently saw my first show at SPAC and it was fantastic. There is probably not a lot I can say that hasnt already been said before. This is a great outdoor venue that brings top musical acts to the area. We had lawn seats for Imagine Dragons. It was crowded, but so much fun. Dont expect to have a lot of personal space or to spread out on your fancy beach blanket and expect everyone to respect its boundaries. The lawn is crowded and people have very little choice but to step on blankets as they try to navigate the crowd to get back to their spot after a bathroom, beer, food, or merchandise run. As a person, you wont get stepped on, but your stuff likely will. If you are mentally prepared for that kind of crowding and have blankets and towels that you know will get stepped on by strangers, you will have a better time. I saw far too many people getting upset with passersby who werent trying to be jerks, but just navigate the area.Patience is also required for exiting the venue. There are many bottlenecks while trying to walk back to the parking lots.Beverages can be very expensive. I paid $17 for 25oz can of Goose Island IPA. I didnt get any good, but the food lines were long especially as the show time approached. Cash or credit was accepted everywhere.Overall, this is a great venue and we had a great time. The small inconveniences of sharing the space with so many people are minor in comparison to seeing top-rate talent in the Adirondacks.

We love the music from inside the theater, this is way Im giving a five star. Listening to music outside is equally nice but youre pretty much watching a screen. Unfortunately the outdoor lawn area is non-existent, it use to be nice having grass to walk/ sit on. It also made it more aesthetically pleasing to look at. At this point perhaps installing outdoor seating would be a better idea. Only thing that really bothered us was the price of the beer which was $17 a beer, water was also why over price. Water should be a affordable price for everyone.

This is the place I have been visiting nearly every year for the past 20 years. The jazz festival during the last weekend of June is my favorite, although stars are less and less each year. The price went up considerably during the years, but seeing many concerts for the price of one is still acceptable.
