Great employees and fun selection of fish and animals.We have been regulars at this store for over a year.Have bought many fish, corals, product and more.We Purchased a new tank from the owner ( our second ---the first was bought at a different store around the corner.) We were told that the setup and water would be included (just as it was when we purchased our first tank from Coral Connections.) Wish we would have stuck with Coral Connections for this tank purchase....owner did not stick to his word. Be sure to get things in writing before purchasing!

Just bought a Honduran Boa from here. The owner was amazing and helpful. Even sold me a used tank to feed the new snake in. Great customer service!

Seascape is the best fish store in the area. They sell other pet supplies and animals as well but my experience with them is with fish. I have cared for many freshwater tanks over the years, but was starting my first saltwater tank. I came in and spoke with Alissa. She was great help and has worked with me for the months of setting up this tank! She wouldnt sell me anything she knew I wasnt ready for and now whenever I walk in she asks about the tank. They have great selection of animals and products, but the customer service is second to none. I cant recommend seascape enough! And if you are interest in a reef tank Alissa is your girl.

Very cool place. Visited with the family.Animals was very well tooken care of.They had exotic fish and some really awesome puffer belly fish.The angel fish and the clown fish were special in their own kinda way.Exotic Birds as well(dont touch the birds,they bite.)This pet store has a guard cat on duty which freaked me out a little,but he was harmless.All in all great place to visit,grandson even bought a pet baby rabbit for his girlfriend...

A lot of stuff. I went in for some ph buffer for my reef tank. Was interested in a hammer coral but good luck getting any help. I waited for over 30 min before I gave up on the coral. I watched people who came in after me be helped before me.

I always recomend seascapes to people for both salt and fesh water fish. They have a vast selection and knowledgeable staff. christopher was very helpful in geting me started with a tank

My son keeps birds so I go in there with him to buy bird toys, treats and he even bought a pair of cocktiels.It seems to have a good selection of birds, fish, food and accessories.

This place is amazing. They have a variety of animals, everything is clean and they are very helpful.

I love it because I and my husband have own it for 43 years. Now we are making changes and upgrading it a bit. Thanks to our great team a day loyal customers, we have survived the big box stores,the Internet various competitors trying to put us out of business we know we will never be rich at least we still love our jobs

First time in since 2008. Same owner same great service and exceptional variety of fish both saltwater and fresh. Aquariums birds snaks rabbits koi ponds all the food and chemicals you could need plus the best equipment and knowledge anywhere i have ever been. If you want a incredible aquarium this should be your first stop.

This place has the most healthy selection of fish around. Some are a little higher priced than you can find online or at other stores. But you get what you pay for. Their fish are the most colorful, and will survive when you get them home. I am very happy with the fish I have purchased from seascape

Seascape has always been one of my favorite pet stores. I have been coming here for probably a little over 10 years. I usually get feeder mice from them for a good price, and usually the size I need. They have a great variety of pets as well. Today, they had two very adorable quails that lay eggs every other day. I have never seen quails up close before and they showed me how to hold one. Precious! They also have a cat who loves in the store and he is friendly as can be. Make sure to visit him. There is also a lovely little garden that they maintain there. Definitely a favorite place for me, even when Im not buying.

This was a great place with so many fish! I was super impressed with their saltwater selection. No one has an inventory like that in Tennessee where we are from. Huge selection of driftwood, foods, decorations, you name it.There was also a very friendly store cat that fell in love with my fiancee. 12/10 would give love and pats again.This beautiful lady is Cookie! I love koi bettas, and Id been looking for a special fish ever since our guy Sai died in a freak accident a few weeks back. This lovely little girl was all about following our fingers around in her bowl, and we instantly fell in love. She has such unusual colors!The staff were great when we told them the dilemna of being from out of state and having a 12 hour drive home. He bagged her up in an extra big bag with oxygen that would last a few days. She made it through the night, then we strapped her in the back seat inside a blanket, and 800 miles later, we acclimated her to her new tank and she is thriving!I highly recommend these guys! Great shop, great service, very healthy fish!

Purchased a used kit here. Was looking for something a little more robust than a 32g kit but settled. I looked at some basic aquarium/stand combos in the 300 to 400 range and found myself being upsold to the 1500 to 2500 range. 3 different employees I spoke with mentioned the wealth of their other customers. I found this unnecessary and wondered if they were sizing me up by wealth as well. (Im not wealthy, Im a high school teacher) I did not like that focus on talking about other customers based on how wealthy they are. I also found the upselling to be offputting. I was almost going to take my business elsewhere. I settled on buying here due to lack of local options.I was unhappy with the staffs approach however their livestock look healthy and their tanks are clean and free of some of the easily spotted pests I look out for.I will return. But Im very uncomfortable with the staff. Talk about my reef, not my wealth when you tell other customers about me.

Extremely knowledgeable and helpful! The employees are always so informative and patient. When I come in with a million questions and concerns, they always have the answers and give great advice. I go there for all my happy fish and aquarium needs.

By far the most well stocked fish seller in the area. Worth the 45 minute drive. I believe we were helped by the owner and he was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Cant wait to return when we eventually upgrade to a larger tank.

Large variety of both fresh and salt water life. Large selection of aquariums available as well. Its evident that this store has occupied this space for quite some time. Been there three times and the guy there never said a word to help or assist me; the girl there was knowledgeable and friendly.

Helpful staff, good variety of pets. They have birds, reptiles, rodents, and a large variety of fresh and saltwater fish. A visit is kind of like going to a zoo. Staff is very knowledgeable. Yes, it’s an old store, doesn’t really “gleam”.Btw I have read some of the older reviews with people and their experiences with fish from this store. Not everybody who buys a fish is an expert, as they seem to claim. I have found that if you ask for fish in the store, they will offer to test your water before you buy it to make sure it is safe. They will educate you on what you were buying and how to care for it. If something happens to your fish after all of that, they will take care of you. If you ignore their advice and refuse to have your water tested I don’t think it’s fair to insist on a refund of a fish that was healthy when you brought it home and died the moment you put it in your tank. I’ve been told “you’re buying too many fish” by their salespeople and listened to them. Honesty is important when it comes to selling pets and these guys are honest. They absolutely will test your water for free, no questions asked, before you spend a dime on fish.

I went to seascape and needed to ask for some help with coral, so I was trying to get help, and everybody was acting like they are so busy when there was one other person in the store, and couldn’t get any help at all.

Such a unique and pleasant pet supply store! The array of aquatic creatures available like sharks and eels to ciclids and koi is impressive. Plus the staff, including Charisma the cat, are always pleasant to see.

This place is run by some great people. Very knowledgeable about all types of animals. They have a fantastic selection of salt and freshwater marine life as well as a huge selection of foods and supplies. Highly recommend visiting if you are in the fish keeping hobby.

I love this place! They know everything about taking good care of your pets. I have shopped here for years. At least 20. They always have a great selection and for example, if you just started a community salt water aquarium they will talk you out of wasting your money on specimens until your water tests show your tank is established.Awesome people. Will shop here forever.

Anyone that has visited other saltwater stores in the greater Tampa/Sarasota area will know the pricing at this place is way too high. Tanks and livestock also appears very neglected with cyano everywhere.

Wasnt aware of the diversity of products this store carries. I had a great time shopping with them and was given a way better price on some things I couldnt find online at a competitive rate. Will be back for more soon. Lots of aquarium to fill. Thanks Seascape

Ive been shopping here for years. They take good care of their animals as well as have the knowledge to help you do the same. Always a varied, good collection of animals and products, and employees more than willing to help you with anything you might need.

Despite reading the reviews on their Facebook page, we decided to try Seascapes aquarium & Pet Center to buy some plants and some fish. We ended up buying a koi that was $35 we bought him around 12pm.By 6 a.m. the next day we found out he passed. ( we are experienced fish keepers) really disappointed and the reviews are true about this fish...

Love this place very friendly and excellent customer service

Prices are pretty high and most of the stuff you can find online for cheaper, but they do have some pretty good deals on tanks and crickets are dirt cheap, cheapest you can get. There are alot of exotics here. Remember to take your new companion to the vet to for a checkup, alot of these animals are second hand.

It had everything I needed for my cockatiel and I love the atmosphere and the staff are kind and helpful.

I drive over an hour to Seascape. Their personnel are knowledgeable and helpful on keeping my saltwater tank healthy. As a longtime owner of saltwater fish, this is, by far, my favorite and most trustworthy fish business. Most of the issues Ive read about seem to be from those who dont understand the fine balance in tanks and water quality....and fish health. This comes with experience (and patience!) I highly recommed Seascape!

As I tried to tell you before, I was trying to look out for your Oscar when I told you to wait until I had sold off the 5 other large Oscars other customers brought in a week before, because big ones often fight & I didnt have a lot of extra space for them. I didnt want you to bring him in until I had room for him. I said I would offer a lot more once I had sold off some of the other big ones. Im sorry you took offense to a lower offer, with patience I would have taken care of you as I do everything I can to accommodate everyone. Although spreading ludicrous and vindictive lies might make you feel better, it does nothing for public interest. We pride ourselves on having the healthiest stock, we handpick, we prophylactically treat all of our fish, and we check all of them multiple times through out the day. Please stop spreading malicious lies about our company; if we are in the wrong or make a mistake, we will own it. The ludicrous lies you have posted however only showcase petty dishonesty. By the way, when I approached you a couple days ago, I was trying to let you know on a personal level the only thing important to me when we had last spoke was first and foremost the health of your Oscar, it was not about how much I could get or how much it cost, or about your inconsequential review.P.S. - no one here has ever tried to get $30 for any Oscar no mater how large or beautiful. Even the biggest of what we had before your first review were marked down to $15, hence why you were offered $5. We offer 30% retail value in credit, just as we always have, although supply and demand might affect this, as it did in your case.

Everyone here is always so helpful. They dont care if you have the stupidest question in the world, they will explain it three times if need be. The fish, plants, and snails they sell are always healthy when Im in there. This is my go to LFS (local fish store). Also, charisma the cat (at least thats what I think the cutie kitties name is) is the sweetest cat ever. I always say hi when I go in and pet her. I recommend this place to everyone I know.

I just went to accompany my brother in law, but I have to say that stinks and the employee followed us, because we were speaking Spanish, like we could steal a fish from the fish tank. Please, come on... not recommended for persons that speak foreign languages, because they look at you, like OMG is going to do something wrong.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff

Absolutely disgusted! I bought a fish from them and added it to my tank. 3 hours later my perfectly healthy fish that I had for almost a year dies! I raised him from a baby! Instead of replacing my fish the owner comes up with excuses and says its just coincidence! By no means is that coincidence. Their fish contaminated my tank and killed one of my favorite fish. They could care less and their customer service is that an all-time low. It seems the owner is just greedy and does not care about his customers. I will never go back and I suggest you never go. Unless you want your fish dead too.

Seascape is by far the best pet store in Sarasota and I always go out of my way to support them when I can. More so than any other pet stores around here, they are knowledgeable about and genuinely care about and provide GOOD care of the animals in their store. No one around here is as knowledgeable about fish as they are. Though they get busy at times due to high volume of customers, they will always try their best to provide good service to everyone in there, even if may take a minute to get to you. They are a little over priced (especially with fish), but they are a family owned business who prices things as such to stay afloat.
