Great park and not a bad snack bar either! Love the soundtrack too. I havent played or umpired any games there, but its still a great park to watch my (mid 30s) sons play soccer and the ball fields look well maintained for spectator and player alike. Need more of these all over the county!
I think the bathrooms are pretty nice in comparison to other, similar parks/recreation in santee. They do turn off the lights at an odd time and it scared me straight once.
Regarding Indoor Soccer...-Facilities are newer but not state of the art. turf is coming up in certain areas. Ball get stuck into out of bounds net. substitution doors and lights are fully functional.-Office staff are polite, helpful, understanding, and knowledgeable.-Referees are erratic. One night you will have a seasoned ref that will manage the game and work with the players. The next you will get a stoned college kid who will show a blue card for a comments like are you serious!? to one of the calls. Calls like that takes the air and spirit out of our Sunday team. Doesnt help either that the table officials are on their Iphone all game.- Team prices are affordable which is the reason my team joined.- Daily entry fee and food tokens are not amazing but adds to the experience. I like that they serve beer and pizza, which I never tried but might when I collect enough tokens.I have been to indoor soccer complexes in Los Angeles and San Diego, this one is ehh
Ah-mazing!!!!!! What a gorgeous complex. Went to see my sister play soccer and was overwhelmed with how nice everything was.Take notes anyone hoping to build a sports complex because this is how its done correctly!.Its well lid, well maintained, designed nicely. Has a grill or sports bar in house.Ive been playing soccer since I was about 11 years old so about 20+ years and never have I been to a complex like this even when I was playing on a traveling team.Kudos guys. Great place for the entire family.
The womens bathroom was just awful, it had not been cleaned. Toilets were overflowing, no hand soap. It was discussing. Please be prepared. It was my first time, I was watching a friends daughter play softball.
Place is clean, but there is no way of getting ahold of anyone that works there. No single department answers their phone. Wish theyd have a better customer service.
Nice facility. Well run recreational soccer program. Leagues play year round.
Love this place. Get to watch my grown up kids play ball and its very family oriented. $3 admission fee, but they give you a token for a drink. Best part is the music they play is just perfect.
Very nice facilities, plenty of parking and extensive snack bar!
The complex is nice, they have an onsite batting cage. Awesome. Awesome snack bar. Small fields ( 300 ft).
Great spot for softball. - a star cause of the batting cages never working.
Excellently laid out and well-maintained.
Great fun place to go and relax or play a game of softball and or soccer. Batting cages on site as well if you just want to get some practice in. Snack bar with plenty of choices of drinks and foods. Family friendly.
Sportsplex USA in Santee is awesome! Eddie and his staff are second to none! The beer selection is great the food is good and the sports program is amazing! I have been a part of the Sportsplex since they open years ago. This will be my 24th Adult Softball season here. Over the years they have adapted the rules and systems to really make it a great place to play! They have a huge space for killer national tournaments and they always have fun 1-day local tournaments for us to participate in. For years i coached in the youth soccer program, I played in the Adult soccer program and it was a great experience.
Great place for adult softball and soccer. The clubhouse has lots of food options and multiple quality beers on tap.
Clean complex, decent snack bar selection/prices, and ample parking.
I think they have 10 baseball fields. Paid batting cage. Lots of parking, very well kept grass. Cute 10 by 10 mini field for kids pix.
Unfortunately you cant bring any drinks in to the park...and the prices at the snack bar is overpriced..
It costs money for me to watch my son play soccer for 45 minutes. I paid for him to play soccer and now I have to pay to watch. I forgot my cash and their only alternative is to spend $3.25 on an atm fee for my $3 entry. Thats taking advantage IMO..
Great facility, but for bigger events such as tournaments, parking is a huge problem. Not to mention only one counter for food and beverage so there is always a huge line out the door. There are limited bathroom facilities as well.
Extremely fun area, but to go in it costs 6 dollars per person, except the players and coaches.
This is a great well maintained complex for softball & socker
It has batting cages n good variety of things
A wonderful family oriented sports facility with food and alcohol
Fun time today watching my grandsons baseball game
This place is great for indoor soccer and softball. The $3 cover gets you a free drink inside. I see plenty of teams playing softball and people in the batting cages. Fields are maintained and area in clean.
Nice Fields but they get you with a $5 entrance fee and you can only bring in water and fruit. My son had gaterade in his ball bag and had to take it out...but they do sell gaterade. Just another hand in my pocket saying can we have more? The food and beverages are expensive too.
Nice baseball fields and a very refreshing snack bar
Great place and the coed softball league its awesome
By far the nicest public sports complex around. Come on, its got a batting cage and a bar. Cant beat it.
Very cool sports complex in Santee. They have everything you need when it comes to sports
The sprawling facility is plastered with advertising, but is well taken care of and welcoming for both athletes and spectators of baseball and indoor soccer. The bathrooms are generally clean. A variety of music is piped through a network of loudspeakers that are audible throughout the park. Admission is $3 for adults, but it comes with a token you can use toward a soft drink or coffee. Unfortunately the coffee is quite bad and has never improved over multiple visits. For other food and beer, expect to pay slightly less than movie theater prices. Parking is free and easy, and many spots are shaded by solar panels.
Nice facility. Lacks parking. Not all areas are dog-friendly.
Grandsons team lost the game tonight. But it was a good game. Seating is ok...metal bleachers. I should have got up and moved more because at the end of the game I was stiff from sitting so long.
What a phenomenal place to bring the family
Nice fields! People working the snack bar were really nice My girls have played softball there twice & I enjoyed it both times
Great place. Well organized. Great family atmosphere. Year round indoor soccer. Priced Right. We normally do 2-3 sessions of soccer per year. Summer sessions get HOT... So we skip it.There is a nice snack bar. Pizza and beer... What else could you need...Watch out for the softball tournaments as parking gets tight on those days.Yes you have to pay a few bucks to get in on game days. It keeps the bums out. Besides if you play your cards right and save up all the tokens you can trade them in at the end of the season for an all out Bonanza. Pizza, slushies, cokes, candy.... Sugar high here we come....
Nice sportsplex we had a tournament there very clean
Played a couple softball games. Fields are nice and set up for basepaths of various lengths. The infield is level and no issues with rocks. It gives true bounces. The outfield is artificial turf but the bounces are not terrible. The cost to get in minimal. Confessions on site. Only fruit and water may be brought in from the outside. They check bags and coolers. There unseating for spectators. Overall nice fields and nice dugouts.
It could be way worse. There is slot of hard work and volunteer assistance that help make it a rocking spot to bring the family
Nice facility with plenty of parking. Its a little annoying that even if you are signed up for a league at the complex you still have to pay the entrance fee everytime. You would think they could include it or simplify it somehow.
Cool place for the kids and refreshments for the adults.
AWESOME IN EVERY WAY. We love playing soft ball here!!
This rating is about softball area only. Fields are generally well maintained and concessions are always open. It is a little frustrating to have to pay to get in every weekend when you play in a league, but it is good that they do give you tokens toward a drink. Again, no shade at fields, dugouts are not covered, bring a tarp. You can bring in your own water. They will check your bag on the way in.
Nice place however they charge you three bucks to get in and to play or not to play
Very nice place to watch junior sports (soccer and baseball). Fields are very nice and clean. Great snack bar is more like a restaurant and they serve adult beverages.
It was a good parking situation
So much to do here. So nice and new and clean
Love where I can come out with my guys and, play some football
To be honest, remaining at Sportsplex has been an investment with no return. My son has not really learned much. But he likes the socialization factor and I do too. The coaches are regular people. Great people, but, like I said my son cant play real soccer. However I have chose to remain cause we have great friends- On a different note, yesterday I was debited $100 from the Sportsplex USA Santee for transactions they claim were never charged over a period of 4 months. WHAT??? How is that ok. You want me to be like ok thats fine but I absolutely am not! So you guys are going to make an outstanding amount of money on concession sales in a two-day period. And we the customer are getting billed for 4 months worth of purchases in one day. All you guys can say is Oh the creditcard company did not push the purchases through till now NO NO NO it not good business. I encourage everyone who suffered financially from this to please file a dispute with your bank!
Any place I can enjoy a beer with the $2.50 entrance fee and cheer my oldest score some pretty rad goals is great in my book. Mosquitoes can eat you up on those summer nights but the food is decent for field food and people are enjoyable.See you tomorrow bright and early!
Great sportsplex, even has a bar
Great soccer field. There are nets around the outside so the kids dont have to chase the ball outside if the kick it too hard. However, it is quite hot watching the games. Sometimes they put up pop ups on the bleachers which is a life saver. Otherwise there is no shade. But it is a great program!
Great facilities for indoor soccer and baseball.
This is a very nice resource to have in Santee for families that like to play soccer or softball. Its a comfortable and fairy clean family atmosphere. I do wish they were less expensive ($3 admittance fee for adults only) and a little more vigilant on kicking out smokers.
This place is always clean and safe. It costs $3 to get in, but you get a token worth a few dollars to use at the snack bar. The French fries ate the best. There is plenty of parking.
For a baseball game and it was a wonderful experience its a beautiful place well-kept great place to eat, Pleasant atmosphere music.employees are nice. had music playing and that was a very nice day. Its a great place for the kids to play and the parents to watch.
The facilities itself are great. However, I don’t understand why they charge you to support your kids by going to the games that you’ve already paid for them to participate in. They confiscated my 5 yr old’s snack and then want to charge $2 for $0.50 chips that their “awesome” snack bar. Also, the rec league isn’t as organized as I hoped. I guess it’s too much too expect when you pay $90 for you kid to pay and then fork out another $50 to watch their games.
Tokens collected can be used for soft drinks or beer.Watch soccer, softball or baseball games here from local little league.
Very nice clean facilities. And the softball game between the Blind dogs and Old Aztecs was Super. The Old Aztecs overcame a 7 run deficit in the bottom of the 9th to win the game. Very exciting.Dave W.
Started out fun 5 star experience and fun. But the more I went the more it became a 3/4 star place and the regulation or enforcement of division skill levels is almost non existent. I had an issue regarding a temporary disability and brought it to managements attention when the team manager decided 6 games into the season that i shouldnt play and they were unwilling to assist. Bottom line, Place is only about money... Not about the players. I wont be back.Facility wise: Snack bar is nice, plenty of seating. Clean restrooms. Hit and miss ifbthe scoreboards work. Worst item is batting cages... I know you cant expect much for a buck, but the batting cages are junk and jam all the time, very inconsistent pitching. My buddy bats left and the machines dont work for lefties.
Great place for kids and adults, they have outdoor concerts in the summer for all, and they are free!
Great sports venue and best fries ever
Lots of fun. Lots of activities going on. The food is good and the general manager, Mr. Vandiver, was so pleasant, helpful, charming and good looking as well
Good facility with a mid size concession area to relax after games. Not a ton of free space inside the park...
Nice softball facility
Great place for indoor soccer or tournament baseball!
My Son works here and he loves his job. Great place to work and play!!!
Beer and food is way over priced, the score boards never work, yet they charge you $12 for a 16oz beer or $20+ for a pitcher. If they could sort through their priorities could be a much better facility.
The bar is the best parts
Best place i have had the pleasure of visiting. All the people are very courteous and the kids well mannered
$3 just to walk in for adults...do get a $3 soda though. Fields are kept in impeccable condition.
Great facilities for all sorts of sports
Fantastic facility! Daughter just started indoor soccer here and were very happy with both the facility and with the organization!
Good equipment choices and easy access
Good fields, but batting cages are closed too often during normal business houre
Santee BABY!! When u come out I better show respect
4th season and wont stop!! My kids absolutely love playing soccer here and their coaches!
I never had the chance to play here, not that I want to anymore anyway. Ive been on the waiting list to join an indoor mens soccer team for over a year now and still havent been placed on a team. Ive emailed them and talked to whoever is in charge about the wait and what I got was, we cant force mangers to take on players. But well put you at the top of the list. That was 3 months ago.Other than my name, I cant think of any reason I havent been able to join yet. Anyway, Ive since found a better facility to play with, and was able to find a team the day after I signed up.
Love this place-so much fun. Baseball, soccer for kids and adults. Bar with snacks and drinks. Only one wish-lights above the playgrounds.
Always fun
Great place for sports and beer
Great place to play sports. Wery well maintained but entrance is not free, even for the players that already pay league fees and card fees. $3 to enter. It gets you a coin that you can exchange for a small bottle of water.
Good public complex.
Love this place! Great fields for soccer and baseball/softball. Always clean and ample parking.
Nice sports facility.
The softball games are held here very often and as far as amenities the snack bar is great with good food and drink.
Really nice fields. Great tournament location. No outside food allowed though...
Nice place just need the drunks to follow the rules. And the customer service needs to be a little better
Great family fun
Always very clean and extremely friendly people
Great use of space and wonderful fields. Great options and seating at the restaurant style snack bar!
Good enjoyable place to watch games
AGC Tournament this past Saturday! Great complex!
Cool place. Visited for indoor soccer. Good facilities with good variety of concession and beer :)
Great family fun
