We had a fantastic midweek getaway experience at this resort. Everyone is helpful and friendly. Beautiful room with a great big tub, our own little patio and a very comfortable bed. Do yourself a favor and dine at John Ash & Co. Amazing food and service!
A very nice and relaxing place nestled inside a vineyard with exceptional Ironing Board set! The room itself was very nice, with exception to the very dated TV that didnt broadcast all channels correctly. The grounds were beautiful and very well kept and the restaurant/cafe had quality food.Ironing Board review for the Business Traveler:Ironing Board (9/10): Good size and opening/closing function. Fabric was good and clean but slightly thinner than it could have been.Iron (9/10): Beautiful iron that was free from hard water stains. Had steam function and steam puff button. It also had the underrated reservoir door feature. Iron heated well and was efficient with water use. The only negative is that it didnt have a retractable cord.
This is a very nice Resort. The rooms are very upscale with very nice carpeting along with glass and marble flooring in the bathroom. There is a fireplace in the room and a small refrigerator with some free drink amenities. There is a free bottle of wine included for your stay along with snacks too. The ice machine is under the stairs on the first floor so it is accessible but out of the way. There is a heated swimming pool located near the rooms for easy access. This hotel is located close to a number of well known wineries and some nice upscale dining establishments. It is also 1 block from highway 101 but you dont hear the highway from your room because of the intelligent design of the berm between the highway and the hotel. The landscaping of the hotel is impressive, it makes for a very nice view and great for walking around the grounds.
Recently attended a wedding at Vintners. Staff was amazing. Food very good!
This rating is for the restaurant John and Ash. Beautiful restaurant, great location, and most amazing short ribs! Thank you for a fabulous anniversary experience!
My wife and I were looking forward to our weekend getaway at Vintner, however, we were extremely disappointed. Evidently “due to Covid-19” they gutted and stripped the room for all amenities including the coffee machine and leaving us one set of towels....of course for our safety. I guess coffee machines and amenities are a high risk thing. The AC didn’t work and the staff said they would have a manager talk to us in the morning (ok, we will just sweat through the night). Room service was slow and had to come back 3 times because they kept forgetting what we ordered. I seriously would have been better off at the Best Western.
Post-Script///They reached out online to have me contact them to resolve my issue, but make no mistake, I followed up and there was still no response from them. Well played, Vintners Resort, for letting the public think you guys actually followed-up and handled a poor customer review.
Great happy hour. They set up an outside area to hold quite a few people with a beautiful setting of roses and Vineyards
Very nice jacuzzi tub and good amenities. We slept very well and very pretty grounds as well.
This is an amazing site just of Hwy 201 in the heart of Sonoma wine country. I can’t recommend them enough, you feel you are in Italy with an amazing property!!!! We stayed in one of the basic rooms which was amazing!! The restaurant on site is a plus! Amazing high end food and wine. Room service food was also fantastic!!!
The grounds are beautiful. The resort is in a great location. However, we paid hundreds of extra dollars for a room with a fireplace. NOT WORTH IT. It isnt a real wood burning fireplace, it isnt even a gas fireplace. It is an electric faux fireplace. Very tacky. We should have just put up a picture of a fireplace on our laptop. The room was very disappointing because the walls are paper thin. We heard EVERY word of the conversations in the room next to us. It was very obtrusive. Plus, it led my wife and me to whispering the entire weekend, which was incredibly inconvenient and made the stay frustrating. Knowing what we know now, we would NEVER stay there again. There are a lot of other places we have stayed that are better options within driving distance, (with real fireplaces). Its really a shame because the flowers and landscaping are incredible. Also, no elevators to second floor rooms.
We like the location and how friendly the staff is and enjoyed having a delicious breakfast/brunch to start our day. The bed was comfortable, the room is roomy. So nice to have the John Ash restaurant on sight also! Only disappointment was the fireplace in the room. I thought it would have more ambience and heat.
Really decent location in Sonoma County just outside of Santa Rosa, this inn is nicely done. They have a main office building that had the cafe where breakfast and lunch as well very nice coffee is served. We only ate breakfast here and it was quite good. The guest rooms are spread across a number of buildings on ther grounds with those around the main registration building being older with large rooms and the newer building having more contemporary decor as well add the spa and fitness room. They also have a nice restaurant for dinner (John Ash) on ther grounds, a conference center, bocce courts, etc. Plenty of parking as well. Nice value when compared to other places to stay in this region.
First time staying at the Inn. Beautiful grounds, and comfortable rooms. We loved walking around, and seeing all the beautiful tulips in full bloom. Convenient to 101, but very quiet. John Ash restaurant next door is also very beautiful, and the food was good.
Gorgeous setting, excellent service and wonderfully creative menu. The scallops and swordfish did not disappoint.
Positive: The grounds and buildings Negative: No
I had a business meeting early in the morning in close proximity - so to save time I booked an overnight. The room was spacious. Service was attentive. I would choose to stay again
Great location, easy access to highways & wineries. Comfortable bed with fireplace and balcony overlooking a vineyard. Complimentary bottle of rose wine. Easy check-in and check-out.
My team has worked at Vintners Resort planning weddings for years now. The grounds are beautifully well kept, the employees are phenomenal and the food is five star!Denette and Julia (wedding sales) are such organized, great communicators with their clients and vendors. Saf (F&B Manager) and the entire banquets team is always on top of it the day of weddings and there for anything the client or our team may need.Since expanding into a resort, Vintners has added on multiple rooms, a spa and new event spaces for family style dinners or ceremonies. We always look forward to working with them and will continue to refer them to our couples who are seeking a beautiful Wine Country wedding venue!
Grounds and gardens were spectacular. By far the best hotel we have stayed, in Napa and Sonoma in the 10 years we have been coming regularly
In older building and fireplace didn’t light up. Our friends got room in newer building which was way nicer but seating in room was odd - we all gathered in their room and couldn’t figure out how to sit as there was a love seat at foot of bed and a seating bench on the opposite side of the wall but it was off center so made it hard to talk. Others had to sit on bed looking at backs of people sitting in loveseat. So very clunky and not user friendly.Once on property, we called to request time for a couples massage and left a message as requested, and never got a call back! That was hugely surprising and disappointing. Brunch at River Vine was superbly delicious!
This lovely and consistent place is right off Highway 101 in Santa Rosa. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, and the staff is personable, professional and understated. The restaurant is lively at night, with plenty of good food and drink options. If you are traveling in the area, it is highly recommended.
Relaxing & enjoyable stay. A great place for breakfast in bed, afternoon naps & access to wine tasting nearby.
Gorgeous grounds with thousands of beautiful tulips and other flowers in bloom. Wish we could have stayed longer.
I attended a small catered affair a few days ago. The service was average, the staff not very attentive. The meal consisted of French onion soup, a citrus salad and seared salmon over a melange if veggies. All were very good with the exception of the veggies which were swimming in a pool of butter and were soggy. Less butter and firmer veggies, please.
Beautiful place I visit each year. Its warm and cozy and there is nothing like a walk through the Vineyards at sunset. It is one of the most romantic places I have ever known and well worth the drive up from San Francisco to visit.I will say, stay at one of the older buildings as the new buildings feel very cold as if yet. Buildings 100-400 are warm and comfy, larger and just so beautiful with the ivy covered walls and surrounded by lush foliage full of birdsong.Talk a leisurely walk around the grounds with wine in hand, as you get a bottle in your room upon arrival. Then later as it gets dark, slip into the heated pool at the spa for a little dip to warm the chill northern California air.Dinner at John Ash never disappoints, but stick with The Front Room for a more intimate evening. Just ask for the same menu, choose from their extensive wine list - you are in Sonoma after all - and enjoy the warmth of the atmosphere and the lovely people and impeccable service.
I visit this place a lot since I work nearby. I got to say the customer service is always awesome and they keep the spot neat consistently. Pricing is reasonable and they serve sizeable portions.
Big room! Dated but clean. Surrounded by beautiful scenery. Heated indoor pool.
Awsome stay, the couples massage at the spa was the highlight. Great room. Good food at The Front Room. Always the best staff.
Nice place to think about business. The service was very friendly and attentive. They have a lot of great reviews for a reason.
It was Valentines day. We had made rezzies a month ago so no problem getting in. It was packed, we heard they had over 400 reservations! So our table was decorated very nicely, we sat on the patio but the heaters were more then efficient on a cool February evening. It was a fixed 3 course menu. My wife got tuna tartar and I got the Kumamoto oysters. Both the appetizers were the highlights of our dinner, very delicious, we shared of course since it was Valentines day. Our main courses took a good half hour to come, way to long in my view. My wife had the halibut and I got the filet mignon. Her halibut was not flaky, it was way to dry. My steak was way to overcooked, I asked for medium well and it was well done and very dry. Our desert were fine. The ambiance and drinks are always fabulous at John Ash. The wait staff is top notch. Weve been here many times when. It wasnt there busiest night of the year and the food was too notch. We will be back soon.
What a find! Beautiful grounds, so relaxing, great service, so many little surprises. The restaurant was outstanding! Definitely look forward to returning!
Loved every bit about the property except we could hear road noise from our vineyard fireplace deluxe room balcony. Had we known this we would have opted for the much less expensive garden suite and been able to sit outside more. Otherwise, lovely room and property.
Wonderful bed and linens. Lovely walk through the vineyards.
Great place for a romantic getaway with your significant other. We had an awesome stay.
Standards were raised this evening after having experienced John Ash for dinner. The service impeccable, food perfect, setting gorgeous, ambiance rustic (good lighting and acoustics). The prices were very reasonable considering the quality of food, the delightful atmosphere and attentive service. We are definitely going back very soon.
Terrible service. Food just ok
Truly excellent hotel room with great customer service. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and upscale, and the lobby area is great for after dinner wine drinking. They have wineries pouring on Friday nights, which is a nice touch. They also have one Tesla charging spot and an additional EV charger, free of charge. Very handy if you have an electric car. Their turn down cookies are the best!
Ejoyed a wedding there Oct.26 weekend or about 3 1/2 hrs of one. Had evacuate because of big fire getting to close. The bride and groom were able to get there first dance in but then everyone had pack up and skiddattle, bummer. Then again, the couple now has a pretty good story to go with there wedding and everyone needs one of those.
We attented a Celebration of Life forour 21 yr. old cousin. The service was excellent, food was delicious, bar was busy.
I have been here for a wonderful Xmas party but would on occassion go for Happy hour to sit back relax with a drink an share small food plates having a good time spending it with those around me.
Had a small going-away lunch for a co-worker here. The food and service was perfect.
Unusually clean and comfortable. I was disappointed that the junior suite had no desk or lounge chairs.
I was here for a meeting at the conference facility. The rooms and a/v were great, very new. But the food was simply outstanding. Better in my opinion than the famous restaurant located nearby! Rooms are also fantastic.
Food was great. Lovely sitting outside
Enjoyed our anniversary dinner at John Ash, food was perfect, service impeccable, my wife and I were happy to be spoiled.
Good food, great happy hour, beautiful room.
Hotel was a unique set up, the rooms were spacious and quiet and I loved the welcome touches when we checked in. The staff was friendly and helpful, my only regret was not staying longer as this was even better than I expected. Great location near wineries (especially Kendall Jackson). We just came up for the night from San Francisco and I plan to return.
Ive had the privilege of performing many wedding ceremonies here and have always appreciated the high level of cooperation and dedication of the service staff to the wishes of the brides and grooms, the professional vendors, as well as the guests.Today I enjoyed a delicious brunch with excellent service by the hosts and wait staff. My omelet was moist and served hot exactly as I asked. My guest shared her order of superb boneless grass fed beef ribs alongside a spectacular creamy polenta...go for it!!
Spectacular vineyard, great views. Very clean two on site restaurants.
Nice. Neet. Simple. Love they grounds
A great place in Santa Rosa.Known for great food and a must stop in Sonoma wine country.Cheers!
Amazing food. Great atmosphere
Best Sonoma (the real) wine country place to stay, eat, and relax! Even when you are attending a business event hosted at the same venue.
I was there for a business conference for Edward Jones. Our overnight stay was lovely as was the restaurant and following conference. Bocce Ball was relaxing. Great experience.
I recently stayed at the Vintners Inn for one night and I rarely leave reviews, but I thought so highly of Vintners I felt obligated to. We found a package for Vintners through a third party website, and do to it being Thanksgiving week the price compared to the quality of Vintners made it one of the best value deals Ive ever had.The staff was extremely accommodating and both the restaurant and cafe on-site were very convenient. The property itself is beautiful and makes you feel like youre in the heart of Tuscany; not Santa Rosa, CA.All in all this was a great hotel experience that I would highly recommend. Well certainly be back the next time were in the area.
A local in the area, we frequent the restaurant and have never had a bad meal. Look no further for a great bloody Mary. Service is spot on!
Wonderful time & place to set. We are already planning a return visit.
Excellent service. The tasting menu was exquisite. Wine pairings were excellent also. Wished we went earlier to see great vineyard views
One of the best place in the area, very freindly, service the best.
Very nice setting...good service
Ive been here for countless events and have stayed a few nights on one occasion. Weve always had a pleasant experience. Only suggestion would be helping with the parking. Maybe having lot full signs for your diff sections etc. because driving in and out of those small lots just to find that section is entirely full is no fun.
The most elegant, beautiful, peaceful place Ive been to.
Excellent food but poor service
Just 1h away from SF, perfect for a nice weather quick getaway
The food was good but need to reduce the amount of salt used
I am giving this hotel one star for multiple reasons. This hotel has false information on their site. The hotel says they have AC in the rooms and that just isnt true. The AC shut off every night and when we called to have them come up, they did not handle the issue. They sent a security guard. I found flies in cups at the restaurant for dinner. I booked a spa appt at 1PM on Sunday and they would not allow me to hold my bags or anything and refused to handle the issue at all. I called before booking the spa and they said they would not charge a late fee if I booked my spa appt. I refuse to let anyone stay there without understanding what they are getting themselves into. Poor service. It was 100 degrees this weekend and no one solved any problems.
Food and table service were excellent. Both the spicy grilled cheese and the corned beef sandwich were tasty, and all of the servers were polite, precise, and friendly. However, the front desk staff, with whom you must check in for lunch in the cafe, totally disregarded us for an uncomfortable duration, before pawning us off on another teammate. Again, actual cafe experience was great, but the chilly welcome offered by the managerial staff left much to be desired.
Not only did I rate it 5 stars but its a 5 star experience and a 5 star ambiance. The cleanest, healthiest establishment Ive ever seen I would recommend this place a thousand times over
My husband and I recently stayed here for our honeymoon and it was nothing short of amazing. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is super friendly. The celebrate romance package is worth every penny. We loved our stay here and can’t recommend it enough.
Great service and food at the Café. Reasonable prices for wine (by the bottle) and other drinks. Food was presented beautifully and tasted great. M
Great vibe and place for a party or a few days off. Great staff and event center
I have not stayed here yet but I will be having my wedding here and the grounds are absolutely amazing. We got to tour the rooms and they are very large and well decorated. Even though you are close to the freeway you dont hear any noise and it is very peaceful with the surrounding vineyards.
Food is consistently exquisite. They let us know ahead of time they were very busy in case the food took longer than usual, which I appreciated. Once the food arrived, the treat to the palette was endless. We had a special, quinoa bowl with arugula, caramelized onions, two eggs, top with avocado...should be a permanent in the menu.
Beautiful venue! Attended for my sisters wedding. Staff was great and very flexible. Event had to be moved inside due to rain and they made the transition flawlessly. Would definitely come back!
Location to airport, shopping and wineries was awesome.
My wife and I visited the restaurant for our first anniversary. I had a great time and my wife loved it! The food was good, and the setting was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and did a great job. We will be back when we are in the area.
Immaculate grounds and rooms. Delicious food. Wonderful service. And a great location to get to all things wine country in an understated community.
Probably the best restaurant in Sonoma County.Very upscale atmosphereand friendly staff .
Its really the best mix of elegance and personal touch that we have to offer in Wine Country.
One of the best hotels we ever stayed. We stayed at this hotel 4 years ago and last month for the 2nd time. It was great to see the same great service, comfortable beds, clean grounds, delicious breakfast and great food at the restaurant and bar. They are opening new pool in September. Definitely coming back again!
Beautiful venue for a rehearsal dinner!
Christi at the bar was delightful. Professional, quick, and this is a lovely happy hour. We really enjoyed it. Its a great, dark, cool refreshing place and had excellent options for the happy hour and decent wine on the$4 list. The regular wine list is great.
We went there for lunch. There where 3 of us and all 3 ordered different lunches and all 3 where delicious. In fact we tasted each others food. The place is very clean, the garden around the place is beautiful and the service is superb. Do recommend it to anyone.
For an outside wedding, the grounds were beautiful! Delicious food. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. I would recommend The Vintners Inn for a wedding or other larger social event.
I met some friends for Sunday brunch. The food and drinks were delicious. The cafe was nice and clean.
Amqzing stay people were nice food is amazing at the restraunt
Great food nice atmosphere
Southern hospitality in the heart of California, with luxury rooms and hotel surroundings of lucious vineyards.
