Great place for kids and adults alike. What it lacks on information it makes up with quite a few amazing planes.

My boys (5 and 10-years old) are HUGE airplane enthusiasts. I wanted to try something new as we have already been to the California Aerospace Museum, Castle Air Museum, and the Oakland Aviation Museum. I must say now that this is an awesome little place with a great collection of aircraft. The day we arrived there were actually only two staff on site: someone at the cashiers desk for the gift shop and another gentleman outside tending to the aircraft on display. Despite this, we had an amazing tour and the customer service was A+++. The volunteer who provided our tour (I cant remember his name at the moment) was so engaging and provided us with lots of aircraft history. We even had the opportunity to sit in the cockpit of one of the planes. We sincerely enjoyed ourselves. The Pacific Coast Air Museum is worth the trip!

Nice place to spend a few hours enjoying the planes, helicopters, and all the miniatures that exist inside the room. Very pleasant and friendly. You have a flight simulator so you want to train to fly. There is a shop where you can buy miniatures, T-shirts, caps, well handy.

Great place to go for enjoy the time. A lot of variety of planes. Is big the space and I am sure any kid will love to come here. The price is affordable for everyone. Hope that most people came here to enjoy the planes and make the effort that the volunteers put in worthwhile.

Great Place with Excellent Volunteers! We went on a morning that was a little rainy, but not when we were there, so we had the whole place and knowledgeable volunteers to ourselves. Walked in not knowing much about planes, but left with more knowledge and a great appreciation. I just wish I couldve thought of more questions for the volunteers that had all the answers. They also have a flight simulator that looked fun ($10 for 20 minutes), but no one on site could operate it, so we intended to return later that day, but didnt make it back. Mostly outdoors, but some impressive indoor displays too.

We went here while on vacation before our wine tasting. It has a surprisingly large selection of planes. There is a F15 that helped with the September 11th response and F5 and F14. Several helicopters - one like the one in mash. The F5 and F 14 were used down in San Diageo at the top gun school. We went on the hot dog Thursdays when the place was hopping with activities and people to ask questions of. My one suggestion would be to offer a guided tour. The people that work there know so much but if we didnt ask questions we would have missed our.

They have a great deal during the summer for their Hot Dog Thursday. Youll need to check their website for the details on when it is. For $5 you get a large hot dog with chili and access to the museum. The majority of the pieces are outside. The pieces they have are pretty cool but the information is delivered in a very dry way.

I took my three-year-old grandson with me. We had a good time looking at all the planes outside. For him though he loved the inside with all the airplanes and great toys you can buy. myself I had a great time it was very interesting to see and learn about all those different aircrafts. The grounds were much smaller than I had anticipated.

I volunteer at the PCAM, just being there with all the history and the people who know these beautiful flying machines makes me feel so proud to be an American. Ive meet some of the smartest and bravest people anyone could be lucky enough to get to know or even meet! I get to touch and work on planes Ive actually built as scale models. I cant describe how it makes me feel when I put my hands on history with my own hands.

My teenage son loves military aircraft so we visit a lot of air museums. We live in Seattle and visit the Museum of Flight often so Im not easily impressed with the other museums. This one has some unique aircraft with fun history - a jet from Topgun, another from an episode of JAG, Robin Olds plane from Vietnam, and one of the two first responders to 9-11. They arent in tiptop condition, but its a small museum with limited funding so I wasnt expecting that. What we did find was an F/A-18 simulator my son loved. The docent who helped him with it was great, and very patient. And while he waited to pay for his purchase in the giftshop, the docent took him over to show some aircraft that werent on display. I wish I had had more cash on me to make a better donation, they definitely deserved more than I gave. We will visit this one again on another trip to the area.

A great place run by an awesome group of people! They host an event called Hot Dog Thursdays once a month where attendees get to check out the planes on display at the museum and chow down on some good old all American hot dogs. They also host an annual event called Wings Over Wine Country where you can see aerial displays from a variety of air crafts new and old! Its an exciting event for all ages. Be warned, these planes are loud! Id advise bringing hearing protection, especially for children.

Nice variety of planes. But too bad the operation time shown on the web and Google Map are misleading, web shown 10-4 and google map put 10am-4am. I drove down from North to visit and reached at 4.30pm missed the opening hour. Website should put clearly either 4pm or 1600.
