We had so much fun doing the half day race course today! Our guide Logan was so funny and smart, and he really made it an enjoyable experience for our whole family. It was the first time rafting for my kids and it was an experience they’ll never forget. Thank you also for taking precautions to prevent the spread of Covid-19. This was definitely a highlight of our first trip to beautiful New Mexico!

We took our Scout Troop rafting with Kokopelli last summer. It was during our Epic Western Adventure, 3700 miles in 9 days. Most of our Troop had made Eagle and we were looking for something other than Summer Camp to keep the boys Scouting. Kokopelli was awesome, the boys were ready to go again when we got off the river, even though there was a short class V portion, they felt confident. The guides we had for the trip were great, gave good concise safety and rafting instructions before we hit the river, and had great attitudes. Would definitely recommend booking a trip with Kokopelli for a Scout Troop with older Scouts to keep them Scouting. If we make it out that way again, we will book the Taos Box full day trip.

Took a bachelor party on a full day race course trip with these guys. They really went above and behind to make our day what we wanted it to be. We brought wireless speakers and since the water was slow spent half the time attacking the other boat (also in our group). Guides Isaac and Mirek were awesome. About our age so they had fun messing around with us and showing us how to best pull people off a raft.

So this is the Best Rafting Company Period. Their Covid Protocals were awesome. They not only 5emp checked us. Sanitized everything constantly and even provided mask bags for the trip. They thought of everything. My family and I had an awesome time and felt completely safe. They are true professionals and the only Rafting group we will ever use.

We first rafted with Kokopelli in the summer of 2015 on the Pilar Racecourse and had a truly awesome experience! We couldnt wait for our daughter to be old enough so that we could take her on the Rio Grande float. This summer, now that she is 5, we made it happen! The water was lower than usual, but it didnt detract from the experience--she absolutely loved it! She kept asking when she could paddle, and as soon as the float was over, she was ready to do it again. Our guides, David and Billy, were super friendly and informative, too--even taking pictures of us! Definitely an experience that we will look forward to repeating with Kokopelli!

We were a group of five adults that went on a half day, morning race course trip with Wren as our guide. Kokopelli is an excellent company that stresses safety and really goes over how to stay in the boat and stay safe and in the event you fall out or flip, what to do to get back in the boat. By the time Wren had gone over all the details, we were very comfortable with going into the water at a class four ride. We can’t say enough about Wren’s skills, he truly is an exceptional guide and kept us safe and comfortable but led us through remarkable rapids that took our breath away. Thanks to Wren we had a great experience that we will always remember.

Kokopelli Rafting Adventures is AMAZING! Our family of 4 who has never been whitewater rafting before, decided to try it out and all of isn’t we’re far from disappointed. Our guide, Julia, was very friendly, funny, and did an amazing job guiding us through the Rio Grande. She was very experienced and easy to talk to throughout the ride. She also gave us a lot of cool facts about the area as we were rafting. The rest of the staff was also very nice and helpful throughout the whole thing. We decided to go with the morning half-day racecourse rafting trip and not once during the trip did I feel unsafe or scared. The views were beautiful and it’s an u forgettable experience. This is great for families and people of all ages. Our family will definitely be going back next time we are in New Mexico!

I brought a large group of teens for rafting. The staff was extremely thorough and safe. They educated all of our students in procedures. We had the BEST TIME!! Many of our students had never done it before and were nervous about going. Now they ask me when can we go again? The guides were very professional and personable. If Im ever in the area again I will go again.

Did the full day tour and had one of the most beautiful rafting experiences. Since the river is deep in the canyon, you have constant picturesque views throughout the entire rafting adventure. My tour guide was Wren, and he was an amazing guide! I would do this again in a heartbeat! Definitely rafting with Kokopelli again next time!

Our riding team has been in Santa Fe for the horse show, and needed a day off. Our hotel manager recommended Kokopelli for the half-day racecourse (plus, I saw all the great reviews online - especially about safety!). Everything was well organized, safety procedures explained well, and our guide, Billy, was AWESOME! He explained everything we needed to do so well that even the youngest (age 12) wasn’t nervous. The water was a little low, and it didn’t go quite so fast, so Billy made it interesting for all us (for example, making the raft turn around, having the kids do fun things with the oars, etc) and, he stopped to explain cool sites along the way. Highly recommend!

We had a private trip with Kokopelli on the half day racecourse. Our group was 27 people, all family in town for a big celebration and family reunion. Our guides were professional, engaging and informative. Isaac, Bill and the others did a great job! They made our trip down the Rio Grande fun for all, as we had folks ranging in age from 7 to 52. Id highly recommend Kokopelli if youre in NM and looking for some outdoor adventure!

My daughter and I decided to do something we hadnt done before and rafting was it. We were paired with a family with two adventurous kids and we had a great time. We did a full day and it was restful in the beginning and thrilling after lunch. Our guide was thoughtful and experienced and made whole day really fun. We would absolutely do it again with this rafting company. This is something I will recommend to our out of state visitors and local friends.

Had a great time on the full day with Anastasia as our guide! Started in calmer water and got a feel for the raft and paddling then a full lunch was provided. After lunch was quite exciting Rapids that Anastasia guided us through perfectly. Definitely recommend kokopelli! Hoping to come back to do “the box” soon!

We had a fantastic time with Kokopelli guides Steven, Becka, and Megan. We took our nine year old nephew on the trip and he a great time. We did an all day trip with some class 3 rapids and it was perfect. Exciting enough that he loved it but not too much. Steven did an outstanding job guiding us down the river so that we missed everything that might be an issue and he was a fount of knowledge. I wouldnt use any other outfitter! Thanks!

Had an amazing time with the skilled guide Billy from Kokopelli going down the Rio Grande river. Kept us safe, gave us history lessons, and made sure we enjoyed ourselves. Hopefully nobody moves the stick on Baby Hugo as that is an important safety feature. Cant wait for my next adventure with these guys.

Our company executives were in Santa Fe for a working/fun week. We had 15 people that wanted to go White Water Rafting and we arranged with Kokopelli to do the Rio Grande Racecourse 1/2 Day trip. A few of us have done a lot of white water rafting, but most of the group were newbies. Our guides (Billy, Armaan, David & Isaac) did a very professional job throughout the trip. Their attention to safety and proper equipment made everyone feel comfortable. Beautiful day on the river and the guides were very informative and fun to be with. Would highly recommend Kokopelli to anyone or any group considering a rafting trip.

What an amazing trip with an amazing company, Kokopelli Rafting! Everyone we talked to including people answering the phones, working in the office and the guides were all great. My husband and I brought our two children (7 & 9) rafting for the first time. I was a bit nervous but Kokopelli staff explained everything to me beforehand to put me at ease. The guide was amazing with my kids ensuring everyone (especially me!) was comfortable that they were safe and happy! He made sure they were secure and provided a history lesson, taught them about rafting and even let them help guide. Everyone had an amazing time! Great job Kokopelli!

I cant give them credit for the awesome water, but every aspect Kokopelli had control of, they nailed. We just had to show up and they took care of the rest...and the rest was awesome. They picked us up in Santa Fe and dropped us back off in Santa Fe. And did I mention, the rafting was awesome. Great location (The Box), great guide, great experience. I highly recommend The Box and I highly recommend Kokopelli.

Fantastic full day trip on the Rio Grande. Our guides Justin and Jessie were excellent. Both were extremely knowledgeable and friendly, catering to a diverse mix of clients (two boats servicing 12 guests). Their passion for the sport was demonstrated not only by their skills as guides but also in how they engaged with us - including sharing historical insights of the area, lessons in regional geology, etc.

My wife and I were in NM for a wedding trip and we did a half day Race Course with Kokopelli. It was an amazing trip! The guide was very knowledgable of the area, history, flora, and fauna. The conversation was enjoyable, and the water was so much fun! We both highly recommend anyone go with Kokopelli!

My son and I just made our second trip through the Taos Box with Kokopelli. They hit the right balance - big enough to be well-organized and well-trained, small enough that it doesnt feel like a cattle-herding operation. The guides are alert and strict about safety, but fun and interesting too. And of course the waves and the scenery are amazing.

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this experience. My girlfriend and myself did the half day trip. It was memorial day weekend so the water was at a medium to high height, freezing cold none the less haha. This allowed for multiple class 3 rapids, so it gave the experience a little more thrill but still manageable as newbies. Our guide was very helpful, did a great job navigating the boat. We did have a guy fall out during one of the rapids, but the guide recovered him quickly and safely. Safety was a high priority with this place which is great. The half day trip was just enough. We both agreed if we did the full day it probably wouldve ruined it for us. By the time we were done we were freezing, and starting to get a little tired. This our personal opinion, again we were new at it and it was 47* with wind, so if this is your first experience you might do the half day as well.

I rafted the Taos Box for the first time on June 3, 2014. Talk about an adventure! I didnt really know what I was getting into (Class III & IV rapids), but I had a great time despite being kind of freaked out by all the whitewater. The guides were friendly and super knowledgeable--even though they were all about safety, we had so much FUN! Ill keep going back to Kokopelli and recommend them to everyone I know.

We took the half day trip with three teens visiting from France. Our guide, Ren, was wonderful and our experience was fun and exciting. Safety instruction was thorough and even with a slight language barrier, everyone was well-prepared.

We did the full day on the Lower Gorge and Racecourse. The first part was beautiful, followed by a picnic by the river. The second part of our day had so much adrenaline, rapids and so much fun!! Kokopelli Rafting exceeded my expectations!

In early June of 2013 we used Kokopelli for an overnight trip on the Rio Grande to celebrate a family reunion of six guys from all over the U.S. The logistics, service, and safety provided were top notch. The guides were knowledgeable, friendly and fun. Food service was wonderful. I would definitely use them for our next trip.

We loved our trip!!! My two college aged daughters and another family of 4 met at Kokopelli Rafting for a day long rafting trip down the Rio Chama. Despite the very crowded scene at the drop off point our guide and assistant ably went through the safety checklist and got us on the river speedily and effortlessly. Somehow we never saw another one of those boats that had been clamoring to get into the river at the same time. The water is dam released so was steady flow, our guide was knowledgeable about navigating the river, and instructing all of us how to paddle through the rapids. Our assistant met us river side at mid day for a simple and tasty luncheon spread which we all enjoyed. We had beautiful weather and scenery all day, except for the surprise thunderstorm on the river. Even then, our guide, Ned, was able to calm our fears about safety precautions being on the water with lightening, which was meaningful as the mother in the other family with us had a sister killed by lightening on a field. Would absolutely go again with Kokopelli.

We went on a trip with my two kids. I found the staff to be significantly more fun and professional than the other company I had used on a previous class 3 whitewater trip on the Rio Grande. The professional staff made it way more fun and much more relaxing as a parent.

I am an active 30 year old and have lived in Albuquerque, NM for years. I have gone rafting with outfitters in Colorado and New Mexico before, and this summer I decided to check out Kokopelli, and I am glad I did. I went on the half-day Racecourse trip and had a blast! Our guides, Tori and Ed, were awesome! Not only were they skilled, but funny, knowledgeable, and professional. They were safety conscience, but still provided us with an awesome trip through some exciting rapids. In fact, I had such a great time on the trip that I decided to go on the Chama full day with Kokopelli, but opted for an inflatable kayak “ducky”. Although this was a more relaxing, scenic trip, we still went through some fun rapids. Also, I was impressed on the Chama trip that the guides were able to accommodate and entertain a range of people ages 7-65. I would definitely recommend Kokopelli to locals or anyone visiting the area.

Our second year in a row to raft w Kokopelli. Last year the Rio Grande Racecourse, this year the 3-day Rio Chama rafting/camping.What an amazing experience! The wilderness canyon is spectacular gorgeous. Our guides, Jesse and Tristan were awesome, and made sure that (1) we were safe and prepared and (2) that our kids were engaged on and off the river, and (3) that we were spoiled with camping comfort and fine dining - what great cooks!!! When the trip was over, we all wanted to keep going - nobody wanted to pull out of the river! We already plan to be back next year to do another one. Thank you for everything. See you in 2018.
