Many of the native artists were seated beneath the roof along the walkway parallel to the square. Work by Native Americans was beautifully arranged on blankets on the ground. Had the good fortune of meeting Maria Martinez’ great and great great grandsons carrying on her legacy of stone burnished and pit fired pottery. Marvin Martinez. I bought jewelry for gifts. Beautiful quality and reasonably priced. Santa Fe has many public sculptures and art galleries.
Best art market ever!
Lively scene, Good food and wonderful, fresh produce.
Indoor outdoor market of local produce, jewelry, photography, woodwork, artisans and crafts. Model railroad display in the building across the tracks from the permanent market. Market has bathrooms and lunch eating areas.
I was highly disappointed with this. It seemed like a local artists market from all the hype, and I guess technically it is, but it seemed more like gallery owners selling extremely high priced items. Less a place to go to if you are looking for local flavor and more a place to dump a ton of money.
Not bad
Excellent artists work. Excellent shopping.
Lovely work by many talented artists.
