My daughter thought she was in heaven. It was a great store for art supplies and it has every thing that any artist could ever dream of. Will definitely come again in the future.

Standard- setting high quality art supplies, helpful and knowledgeable staff, well laid out store, I love to visit Artisan, they kept their delivery up during the worst of the virus lockdown, so happy to see them reopen in-store shopping.

This is such an exciting store. This is my go-to store when I cant find what Im looking for anywhere else. Things cost a little bit more, but this place is definitely an artists Nirvana. There are so many different brushes with different textures (if you havent experimented with different texture brushes, youre in for a big surprise if you do), paint pens with a lot of different colors that make your mind dream, fabrics, yes, fabrics, that help you create a whole new worlds, a large variety of canvases that really do let you stretch your imagination for how you want to work your painting, and so much more! On your first trip, you should just walk around and see everything the store has to offer. My personal recommendation, feel the different textures of the brushes, and then purchase some for experimentation. Different textures yield different results. But also, try out some of the paint pens; they have some at the checkout area that you can try for free. Then check out the different canvases, and from there, let your mind wander with infinite possibilities to create. Enjoy!

An amazing art supply shop. Getting there from the south is a little tricky since there is a u turn involved but with patience it can be achieved.

If youre into paint pens (not markers), and you find yourself using them a lot, then you might want to make an investment at Artisan. There is an acrylic paint pen called ONE4ALL made by Molotow which is a REFILLABLE paint pen. This means, yep, you dont have to keep buying paint pens, you can buy the refill bottle and conveniently have your favorite color(s) on tap when needed, AND, its good for the environment. You might ask, what if I mix different colors in the pen; will it mix well and come out like I like it? I dont know yet, but its on my list of things to try.

I want to give them more stars, but they dont keep up their inventory, which can be very disappointing. The customer service leaves something to be desired. The checkout process can be belabored, and they have workshops which can make the place hard to get in and out of.

I was here filming with my boyfriend, we drove from El Paso. The owner let us use the place as a location to shoot, they opened early for us and were so incredibly sweet. I’ve never been to such a large art store, I’m an artist so I was in complete awe, they literally have everything you could ever dream of and more. Bought a handmade Canadian sketch book and I’m in heaven I can’t wait to go back. I’d drive 5 hours all over again just to come back!

Being a designer, I shop at Artisan all the time. I have found their staff always knowledgable and helpful and their prices are competitive. Theres a fun vibe to the store - I cant believe all the products they carry - and the staff always jokes around with me. Its great that Santa Fe has a store of this level. I would never have expected that in a town this size.

Super Ego Store!. Bad experience with service. Is very expensive and plus they have a very different policies about return or exchange items than other places. If you are not completely confident in purchasing some items, is better you go Michaels or Hobby Lobby, they are more flexible in the return policies for SURE!!!. Nobody smile and some arrogance in the ambience.

I have been shopping for art supplies from the Artisan since before it moved from Canyon Road to its present location at least 10 years ago The famed artist Georgia OKeefe shopped there for supplies whenever she came down to Santa Fe from her home in Abiquiu which says far more than I could ever share from my own experience with the firm.

You can find almost every art supplies in this little store. The qualities of the goods are the best, I gave it 4 stars because one thing that this store is missing the scratch board. Its not only this art store but almost every art store I have been to dont have scratch boards, I hope they bring the scratch boards back in the stores.
