DeLaveaga has a good layout with dive challenging holes, and is in good shape. One of the best values in golf around, especially with the GolfNow booking app. We got an afternoon round at 2pm with a cart for $50. Some beautiful holes with lots of trees. Hit it straight!
I’m a local and play here a few times a month and it’s starting to get pretty frustrating seeing how poor the maintenance is on the tee boxes and fairways. Especially the tee boxes, it’s basically a continuation of the rough. However, I do love the layout and the greens. I just think that if they are going to make it as expensive as it is to play there then they simply have to keep their fairways and tee boxes in better shape. Thee highest rate to play here should around 50 instead of 90 and twilight should be around 25 to ride rather than 45. Do not spend more than 50 dollars to play this course!
Great local course family run, some amazing views and wildlife. Great service and amenities - definitely a local favorite!
Great value on breakfast and lunch. Good value for Friday and Saturday night menu from 3 to 8pm.
Fun community course and range. Peeps are very friendly. I love the outdoor bar where they are dog friendly and make amazing bloody Marys.
Restaurant is wonderful.. variety of specials. Breakfast and lunch. Outside seating great for watching golfers.
Disc golf course is epic. Went for the first time with my brother today. Great place to get out in nature and get some exercise slinging discs and hiking hills. Great view of the bay from Top of the World hole #27
Nice course with a lot of undulating fairways. Gunna make even the low scoring golfer work for those pars and birdies.
One of the best small town parks there is. Home location of the disc golf craze which matured into a professional sport at this location. They have everything one could desire with incredible views of the entire Monterey bay. Its a secret hidden little gem, the locals and golfers alike truly treasure.
Much like I remembered it, but the tee boxes were not very good. Takes away from the course overall.
Driving range adequate but practice balls filthy. Course above average for Santa Cruz county, overpriced tee fees but discounts available online if you look for them. Overall not bad golfing experience
This is a hilly old course right in town. Redwoods, Eucalyptus trees, and local deer add to the beauty. Few bunkers, no water. Putting and chipping greens for practice. Limited distance driving range.
Beautiful course and driving range. Clubhouse is well setup and parking is good too. A real gem!
Soft greens. Some interesting risk/ reward decisions on a couple holes. If youre from out of town you should definitely check it... a bit pricey on the weekends $$$
Great local muni
Its what you get for the price, and its a really reasonable price
Top of the list to play again
A little dry right now but still a local gem
The best frisbee golf course Ive ever played!
Love this golf course! I go here a lot just to hit balls. The little putting greens kind of fun too.
Golfing here is great! I always have a fun time here on the weekends. Friendly staff too! A guy named Kenny helped me in the pro shop and was VERY nice.
A great day for golf. Course is in good condition. Play was at a good pace - not often the case. The setting is beautiful. Might have considered giving 5 stars, but the clubhouse still isnt open, and $5 for a 12oz beer out of the cooler is a crime.
Great disc golf course
Challenging. Greens need work at this time of the season.
AMAZING!! Come prepared with refreshments. Gorgeous park, challenging hole and a blast
Public golf course...nice weather though.
Really beautiful track in the wooded hills of Santa Cruz. Not too rough of a course but errant shots are heavily penalized. I play a mid afternoon around in June and finished in under 3 hours dispite waiting on several holes.
It is another beautiful day up here!
Challenging but fun, a bit of maintenance going on with the the boxes. Greened up pretty well since the drought. Will definitely be back.
Good course
Hidden Gem.
Beautiful.
Beautiful day for golf. Varied holes with above and below holes. Sand traps need improvement since they were sand on top of hard soil.
Disc golf heaven. Poison oak Bonanza. If you lose a disc just buy a new one.
10 bucks gets you tons of balls to hit and driving range. Had a lot of fun. Not busy close to closing
Needs better maintenance
The bar is open, and the ladies who work there are top notch.
Beautiful setting. Nice improvements to the golf course restaurant and pro shop. Staff is exceptional.
This course is reasonably priced and interesting. It is pretty narrow on a few holes, so bring some extra bullets. Totally recommend it.
Understaffed crew, it seems, as greens are ok, but fairways overgrown with daisies, rough very deep; tee boxes beat up/overgrown. This normally terrific course has great challenges in both length & greens, lots of doglegs & bunkers; distance control a must. Practice areas in good shape -- though the black dust on range balls is disturbing (no, it is NOT a charming local quirk).Limited amenities right now, as everything undergoing construction: the restaurant is closed, as is snack shop at the turn; only restroom is a single womens/mens/disableds restroom out at the driving range; parking cramped/fenced off.Recommend waiting til they are done, Winter is over and grass gets mowed.
Pretty gulf course. Parking is a tight. Can be very windy!
The restaurant that was fabulous recently closed. It remains to be seen what will happen. There are many rumors. Fingers are crossed. The old place was a gem hopefully they will match or exceed that expectation
Great Santa Cruz golfing!!
Good, challenging course
I am not a golfer but I love the disc golf course farther up the hill. Get yourself a few discs and give it a try. It is a lot of fun even if you are unskilled and it is a nice walk around the course.
No maintenance, tee boxes and fairways are basically a continuation of the rough. Also the greens hadnt been rolled in a long time. Really disappointing golf experience. Save your money and go elsewhere.
DeLaveaga- Spanish for dog leg- or should be. Unique layout on the top of a hill which would overlook Santa Cruz if the trees werent so mature. A short course for my length, but challenging- a shot makers course. Bunkers were hit and miss on sand- careful of thin lies. I walked it and got a workout, Im 51. Greens were bumpy due to muni fools not fixing ball marks. Recommend this course for the money for sure! Enjoy : )
Had a blast at Masters Cup! #AGLDiscs
Great mid-difficulty golf course, and a decent clubhouse for lunch. The disc golf course up the road a bit is an excellent choice as well(for fun, not food).
Best place to play golf
Was a nice experience setting up tee time dan at the front desk was polite and enthusiastic
Old school layout. Fun track
It doesnt have maintenance. Too many flowers of white color in the fairway so cant find out the ball. Bunker doesnt have enough sand.
Narrow and twisting with lots of blind corners. Prefer the other course in town, but wearthy of play if you are playing 2 days.
Beautiful location. Friendly service.
Good staff polite..need to water Fairways
Loved the course!
18holes Took over 5 hours..Sooooo slow pace of play.
Fun course, but very challenging, not great for beginners.
Great grounds crew
Always a great time!
Excellent golf lessons
Nice course, range, and friendly staff.
Beautiful golf course in the Santa Cruz mountains.
Slow service but worth the wait. Place to chill.
Best place on Earth
Great course
Nice track
Funny, challenging and interesting lay out.
Awesome place.
For somewhat of an inconvenience paid $64 to much.
Cant beat it!
Awesome
