A great resource in community for light fabrication projects!

A great place to make projects. Access to tools and machines that are out of reach for a normal person. The community is amazing. They got a second laser cutter.I only hope they get more 3D printers because 2 is not enough.Otherwise IFL is a great place to do projects and learn new skills.

As an artist, Idea Fab Lab has completely opened up new doors for me that otherwise would have not been available. It has granted me access to equipment I would never been able to afford on my own. My artwork has evolved rapidly due to this workspace. Not only is it an incredible learning and creating opportunity, but it is an important community space. A place where creative minds can meet, share, and collaborate. A growing staple in Santa Cruz for sure.

Ive been a member of Idea Fab Labs for almost two years now. What a vibrant and supportive community! Thanks to this place, my skills in 3D modeling have gone through the roof - I never would have received so many good suggestions and motivation on my own. Supportive community, machines that are always working, a big space that continues to improve its tools and amenities, art shows, hangouts, classes.. Idea Fab Labs is pioneering a business model that is sorely needed in our modern age. This place deserves all the love it gets and more!

Great place to do projects. Everyone is so nice and helpful.

This is a gem of a resource. It is a privilege to be able to work with a table saw or CNC until midnight without worrying about waking the neighbors. I have an inexhaustible list of ongoing and future projects with the CNC, laser cutter, and electronics shop. The staff and other members are super skilled and generous with their expertise for making your vision into a tangible reality. So glad I joined.

I have this place saved as Work, but in reality its a second Home. Jordan is an amazing guy whos turned IFL into a makerspace well worth the membership. Its here I realized my childhood dream to make stuff with lasers, check it out!

As a member for two years I’ve learned woodworking with a CNC Router, laser cutting of wood and plastic, 3d printing and microprocessor coding for driving LED strips. I’ve seen many artistic projects. There’s a lot of talented members at IFL to learn from. I highly recommend IFL.
