Just got back from spending 4 days at Californias Great America in a premium suite. The resort is amazing! Definitely a lot to do for the kids; water park, arcade, bowling alley, 3D ride, miniature golf, and more. Initially I expected more rides in the water park, but it was plenty over the 4 days. On the busiest day youre waiting max about 20 min per ride. Friday evening between 5 pm and 830 pm was the least busiest.

Great place for all season attractions. Love how theres always something going on here and all the events that take place are always fun. Love the deals they have as far as the season passes and the drink and food deals. Great place for the family to go out for a day and let all your energy. The lines can be quite long sometimes but the park is huge and theres always something to do. Check it out and come see for yourself.

I went there twice but never for taking any rides. Once that was a Ganesha Poona fair, and another time it was some event for our project. The big surprise about this place is no one can guess the space of this place surrounded by cities and suburb until they are really inside. And secondly, I heard that their seasonal events, mainly for the winter is really great but yet to give it a try. Also, big fan of their snacks.

I took my 2.5 year old last weekend & he had a blast. Is it a bit shabby? Yes. Could they have had more train cars running? Sure. Did my kid notice? Nope. And all of the employees were super sweet to the kids, my Nutella hazelnut latte from the coffee kiosk was delish & the cost of admission is a bargain for the hours of fun we had. Definitely stop by the arts & crafts station, too. He made a cute tissue flower & colored some butterfly cutouts. I packed lunch/snacks, so cant comment on the food.

This is my favorite amusement park because I grew up living nearby most likely. The rides are awesome. Roller coasters, a log ride, a raft type water ride, and a ride that takes you up and drops you 224 ft. Plus a water park. They do have many smaller childrens rides, but my experiences are all about the thrill rides. Im almost addicted to roller coasters and extreme rides. Its a wonderful park. Clean, kept up, and the employees are super nice and helpful. I love the atmosphere, how they are always creating new rides and experiences to keep it fun and new.

Great America is a very popular place to visit in the San Francisco bay area. Never really to crowded, fast in and out and good roller coasters. There is something for petty much all age groups. The one thing which is why I only give four stars is the food court. What a terrible set up. You have to order from a kiosk. Then go pick up your food from the window of the corresponding window of the item you selected. Then you go to another window or two for your drinks. What a process. And the food is really sub par. There are other places around the park you can get food which is not as daunting. Otherwise get a season pass if your local and enjoy the park.

Nice place for adults and kids. Rides do have a minimal night for kids but is low so most little kids will find some appropriate rides. Fun for hours. Lots of parking but require some walking to the park, but no bad. Safe, pleasant place, very multicultural. Food just little more expensive than average, as expected, but really no bad! It is more expensive to buy the fast passes for rides, but I recommend it to avoid the lines and frustration when you wait and the others, with fast passes, keep cutting the line...

The park is big and has been expanding over the years it seems. Parking is $25 unless you have the Gold season pass. Very clean, and the staff is nice. Its a fun theme park for all ages, from young children to teenagers to adults. So many roller coasters and rides. I have heard that there are good shows and performances for the elderly or those who dont care for the coasters, but I have not been to one yet. Planet Snoopy is a fun place for little kids. I have not spent much time in the water park (Boomerang Bay), but have been on the water rides that were way fun and I got wet enough. I like the new N7 a lot. And the Railblazer too. Use the map, itll help you navigate around the park. Good map, with lots of information, including rider height requirement and thrill rating of the rides, from green circle Level 1 to double black diamond Level 5.

I used to come to this place as a kid, and after many years I now come here with my own children, and I can say this place seems to have improved quite a bit! I hope it continues! It has always been a fun place to spend the day with friends and family. We really enjoy Boomerang Bay when it is open, typically from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Make sure to check their calendar. They also do a phenomenal job with their special events, especially WinterFest. They have singing performances, and ice skating show, carolers, lights and photo ops everywhere, cooking decorating, and they even rename their rides to match the holiday theme. Whoever is directing this event definitely pays attention to the details. Hands down, best winter festivity to attend. Ill even put them right up next to Disneyland. Less crowded, great entertainment, and best value.Tip #1: Get the Gold Membership since it includes parking. Tip #2: Kids under 5 can get a free junior membership! Tip #3: Look into getting the Meal Plan for 1 or 2 of your memberships.

We experienced more of the park and there is so much for the little ones to enjoy. Always a great place to visit on the weekends for fun. Younger kids have a separate area with many ride options. There are some thrilling rides for young adults/adults. The arcade prizes are not bad, has a good selection of food and tastes decent although expensive (typical amusement park prices), bathrooms are ok, has face painting and henna booths, dip n dots, drink stations, popcorn and churros throughout the park. It’s best to arrive several minutes before opening or right at opening to avoid crowds. Otherwise arrive 2 to 3 hours after opening and that would do. I would recommend the gold seasonal pass because it covers admission, parking, and you’ll receive discounts on purchases. If you purchase the pass early in the fall, they sometimes offer free fast lane pass with a gold pass purchased online. Always check the website. Visit at least two to three times to make it worth it. You’ll also get access to seasonal events such as Halloween and winter fest. They have free shows and cookie decorations for extra fee. It’s best to carry light. Visitors can re-enter the park all day with a hand stamp.

A solid amusement park. Good variety of thrill rides, with a few very good roller coasters. The best coasters are RailBlazer and Gold Striker. Both are worth the wait. The park is clean and the rides seem to be in good repair. The loading processes, for the roller coasters especially, is quite inefficient. The trains spend way more time in the loading zone, or waiting for the other trains, than they spend actually running the track. The food is good with a variety of selections. But the prices are quite high, although this is to be expected at an amusement park like this. Plan on spending about $20 per person for a decent meal and beverage.

We had the fright lane pass, so we never had to wait in any lines on the haunted mazes. I definitely recommend buying it! Unfortunately, we thought it also included the rides. We did have to wait a while for a few of the roller coasters. We were disappointed The Patriot ride wasnt working the night we were there. On all the haunted attractions they did great on all the decor in each room in the mazes. But sending in each couple or group so close together ruins the scares and the experience. We felt rushed and pushed by everyone behind us. A few times groups that got scared pushed us while we were trying to enjoy our experience. The couples in front of us got scares while we were behind them and missed out in someone popping out at us. And one major disappointment, how can there be 8 mazes and none with chainsaws and feeling of being chased or actually scared? I wish there was one attraction filled with clowns, but there was nothing like that. My local haunted attraction Hobbs Grove, really gives you great scares, but we chose Great America this year. Overall we still had fun, awesome decorations, shows, and fun rides.

We visited the park this past Sunday and it was a blast. We started by arriving around 830 so we could get the kids ready fed and ready by opening time but the parking lot didnt open till around 920 luckily the line to get in was next to nothing so we got right in. Maybe it was because it was a Sunday but we were able to ride all the wifes with minimal wait times. There is an awesome water park with water slides, wave pool, 2-3ft kiddie pool, and amazing water playground! We had so much fun here! The only thing I would say is that the food is pricy, I want to say its even pricier than Disney land. Also it takes longer to order food than waiting in line for a ride, hopefully they work on this. Ride height requirements are online for each ride. I suggest getting a wrist band for your shorter riders who may be the required height but are questionable so instead of being checked everytime they can see the wrist band. Overall the expensive food, long food wait times, and late parking didnt discourage me from giving 5 stars because at the end of the day youre at a theme park where you know the food is going to be expensive, theres a ton of people so long wait lines are inevitable, and the parking lot didnt keep me from getting in on time and we had a blast. My kid loves this place. Went to Halloween Haunt. 3 stars because the security process for park entrance was so poorly executed and it took over 90 minutes to get through the line just for security. Then another line for tickets and another for entering. There were no roped off lines, it was not organized and people were cutting left and right, then out of no where this huge group comes and instead of getting in line, they split up and flanked the crowd and cut in close to the front. Im talking about 30 to 40 people in groups of 3. They used intimidation to pull it off. It was a sleazy and entitled move, but I have to say those thugs had a better plan and execution than Great America. Im no security expert but there had to have been a better solution. I mean they basically spend a good portion of time focused on crowd control and efficient lines for rides? How did they overlook this? For the cost to get in I dont think guests should have to waste their park time on security fails when the hours are limited for this event and surprise... the lines are super long for everything.

I wish I could give Great America a 4.5, but oh well. Only problem is that food is pretty costly. Any food you want, where from a stall or restaurant, is pretty costly. About 1 or 2 dollars higher than outside the park. Good thing is that you can probably bring a water bottle or two. A nice thing about this place is that they have special ceremonies to celebrate the seasons: Halloween Haunt and Winterfest. They basically add the respective decorations, maybe some booths, and change around some of the rides. Parking is 20 dollars, average meal is around 15. Gold pass is around 80, but one day admission is around half that price. Gold pass makes parking free and 20% off all merch and food. Gold pass also gives free admission to Gilroy Gardens, but no free parking there. There are water fountains in all of the different sections of the park. The rides are really high thrill, about maybe 5 or 6 are really good. There are also some kiddie rides.

Fading grandeur. In a world of Disney and other hyper parks, what can a regional extravaganza have to offer?A modest experience? One where you can have some fun - but where you will be responsible for making most of your memories. And maybe thats not a bad thing.

Great Park that is good for families or for individuals. The water park is a great place to have a low key park day while the regular park offers both thrill rides and a kid friendly area. Food is overpriced, but good. Park entrance can also be overpriced depending on how you go about getting your tickets.

The theme park is very welcoming. Opend spaced and kept well cleaned. Get there in the morning as it does get busy in the afternoon. The patriot is a good starter coaster for first timer kids. The rest are some what intense. Awsome place to hang with family and friends!

One of the best parks here. I assume historical and yet up to date. No enough trees and shade but overall 5 stars for sure.

Lots of fun, plenty of rides for all ages. We came the weekend after school started and it was pretty empty. Longest line was 5 mins.
