If you want to go somewhere to be seen or people watch this place is great. The views of the ocean are terrific. However if you are interested in good food and service, take a pass. After we ordered our first course we finally had to catch a passing waiter as ours hadnt returned in over 25 minutes. The drink pours are incredibly small! When I asked, the server announced loudly that they were 1 ounce pours! The salad was way over dressed when I asked for very light dressing. Lastly I can recognize an 8oz steak and this was not even close! We wont be back!

Havent had the chance to stay here and definitely would like to however it was closed due to the Covid pandemic and has remained closed (Im writing this on the 6 of August 2020). Im giving it 4 stars simply on its beauty from the outside since thats all I have to go by. Hopefully in the near future Ill be able to update this with an actual visit. Overlooking Butterfly Beach it definitely has charm as well as its location.

My husband and I stayed here a few years ago and it was a perfectly delightful experience! The room was gorgeous and there was a huge bathtub. Everything was wonderful. This is a great place to come for a quick escape!

I have stayed here few times since 2014.. The valet service is top notch and please be prepared to walk ...and this property to find your suite.. The grounds are very lush with plants,bushes,hedges and trees. The rooms are lovely and the beds are comfortable to sleep in. The bathrooms are very worldly ..tiles and plenty of towels. The property is near the beach..and it gets cold at night... I most certainly recommend this location should you visit the area on business or personal ..

Ive been wanting to go there for quite some time, so we finally went for a very special occasion. My pasta was bland. Didnt taste like anything. Had to add salt to it. Even my son had a bite. He didnt care for it. My guests liked their dishes. My dessert was great.

This is a beautiful resort that I didnt get to spend nearly enough time in.I spent the day/night of my 35th birthday here on a solo gals road trip up the PCH from San Diego to San Francisco. I was pampered from arrival - my room wasnt ready so I had snacks and a salad at the bar outside on the patio where I was given a birthday cake at the end of the meal.The room still wasnt ready so I was upgraded to a suite for my birthday (complimentary upgrade) and was shown to a beautiful large room with a large bedroom, huge bathroom with a steam shower and a living room on the ground flood that had glass windows and doors opening to the inner garden.The resort is stunning and well-kept and right on the beach. There is a beautiful club with a pool and other amenities.The valet are all friendly and suggested a few hikes I should try (Lizards Mouth for one) and always spoiled me with bottled water and even a small flashlight for a nighttime walk to the beach so I didnt trip! When I returned to my room, another birthday cake and a card wishing me a happy birthday from the hotel manager and my travel agent. How nice.I had breakfast the following morning in the main dining area from their well appointed buffet and whisked off to my next destination.Short and sweet but a beautiful hotel I hope to visit again. Its located on a one lane street right off the 101 across from the Pacific Ocean and is very quiet. Its a short drive to shopping and into the city of Santa Barbara, or you can choose to take a scenic drive up into the mountains only about 20-30 minutes away.

We celebrated my sisters birthday here. I cant say enough good things. The view was spectacular. The service was impeccable! Our server, Harold, took great care of us. He kept a smile on his face. We laughed a lot, and he fulfilled all of our dining needs. I would definitely request Harold again. The food, well...it was DELICIOUS!!!

Absolutely exceptional experience. The staff, the restaurant, the views. Everything was done perfectly. The attention to detail of this resort is impeccable. Definitely a place to visit and stay at in Santa Barbara. Or even go for a meal. Quality breakfast buffet as well but pricey. As you would expect. One of the best resorts on the coast period.

I drive from LA when possible to enjoy brunch while soaking in the views of the pacific. Great for celebrations and simple.intate experiences - lovely!

I am normally not a big fan of a hotel that is spread out with a long distance between the rooms in the lobby. However this hotel may have changed my opinion. After checking in and walking to my room the bellman already had my luggage waiting for me. The room was definitely a little bit of an older style, as Im sure the hotel has been around for many years. The building is directly across the street from the ocean which makes for incredible views but the most impressive part is the walk out patio that is surrounded by vegetation to a level that you can hardly see anyone around you. It was like walking through a little forest to get out to the sidewalk. Im not sure why I love that so much but it made the room feel like you were walking out of your house or vacation house an exotic island.The grounds for manicure perfectly and they were constantly working on maintaining it.Because I was doing so much in the Santa Barbara area I really didnt have a chance to do much within the hotel to tell you one thing or the other about the workout facility or pool or anything like that although it does have them. I will say that attached is a picture of one of the most unbelievable trees I have ever seen in my life.no matter where you walked around the facility you were always greeted by anyone from wearing a suit to the landscapers that were Maintaining the property. Everyone acknowledged you which I believe is a four seasons thing but done better here than any other four seasons Ive been at.Youre also a very cheap Uber right away from downtown, from the pier or anywhere else in the small city of Santa Barbara. Highly recommend if its in your budget.

This place is magic! Is so exotic and lush, you will feel like you are in a tropical place. The rooms newly renovated, the luxurious bar, the extremely beautiful gardens that have old trees and vibrant colorful flowers, the very relaxing pool and jacuzzi with great service and very private, the gorgeous ocean view....everything made our vacation so good that we will be back very soon!

I went to to beach not the Resort. I had to edit out the people on the beach I did not have permission to post them. It was a great day out and most people practiced social distancing and some with face mask/covering.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. I would recommend staying here without a doubt. The service is second to none, everyone was beyond helpful and accommodating. The only thing that I would suggest is eating elsewhere. We went to the affiliate restaurant, Tydes, and the food was so salty it was almost inedible. Our whole party made the same comment. Other than that, I will definitely plan on returning. I cant tell you how beautiful the peoperty is, the pictures cant begin to do it justice. Stay here!!

This was a beautiful place to have lunch! Gorgeous view of the ocean right below, lovely decor, and friendly service. Unfortunately, the food was not up to par with her scenery. I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes with coffee mascarpone and apricot jam. The pancakes were good but dry, and the coffee mascarpone added nothing to them. I’m not sure why the chef thought that coffee-flavored anything would enhance a lemon ricotta pancake. That being said, it could’ve just been a bad day and I did enjoy the lunch. As I said, the setting was absolutely beautiful.

Incredibly beautiful spot. Great view from the outdoor seating for lunch. My wife had prawns and cauliflower...she said delicious. I had gnoccietti and crab carbonara...also delicious. Great waitstaff...super attentive and friendly. Going back for dinner in a few days. Strong recommend!

Excellent hotel with the most amazing service - the best I’ve ever had!! So so impressed. The hotel is A perfect location, overlooking the water. Restaurant is great, rooms are nice and larger than normal (although if you get two beds they’re only doubles not queens) and the spa was great! Can’t express how pleased I was with our stay!!

Only had drinks on the patio, but as expected everything was great. Attention to details was really impressive, staff was very friendly and over the top helpful. The location is ideal, being right on the ocean.

Love this place. The well preserved spanish style resort, the intricately decorated the atmosphere and the energy something about it that is so organic. You know the moment you walk in, you are stepping in a prestigious place. I have been to few a Four Seasons Resort. I love this one in particular. Very romantic. Perfect place to celebrate our Valentines Day. And of course the food was amazing accompanied by the best staff absolutely superb. Be sure to say hello to Daniel (Restaurant Manager) at Bella Vista.

Was here for Sunday brunch. $75pp includes bottomless drinks and a gorgeous buffet spread. The buffet included the standard meat carving station, made to order omelets, and pastries to caviar, crab legs, deviled eggs, and a table filled with desserts. To top it off, great service and a beautiful view of the ocean.

Beautiful beach, but narrow. Probably no beach at high tide. We did not stay at the resort, but it looks beautiful and in a quiet setting. Very close to strolling and shopping in Montecito.

This place is absolutely incredible. The resort and rooms are beautiful! The staff were wonderful and paid attention to every detail. We felt very taken care of here. We also ordered the pasta via room service and man who brought it to us set up the whole meal on the table in our room. We had the tomato and basil pasta for this meal and it was one of the best pasta dishes I have had. We also tried the restaurant which had amazing food and service as well. Santa Barbara is a beautiful place as well. This is definitely one of the best places to stay along the coast.

I have never stayed in any of the rooms. I have come to a few events thrown for a charity.We have dined here and we have walked our dogs around the resort.Its absolutely beautiful, of course. Seconds to Butterfly Beach. Take walks outside the hotel.Simply lovely. And in beautiful Montecito, what more can you ask for?

I will admit, when we checked in and it took 30 minutes to get a drink after a 9 hour drive and we saw the time pool that we would have a good time here. But, from the moment we got into our room we started decompressing. We obviously hit some speed bump at the bar because the rest of the stay the staff was over the top. Soooooo amazing! Take a bike ride, chill by the pool, play at the beach, have a picnic of the grass, explore the property.... Just chill out. The pool club across the street was a bit strange. Felt like it should be a scene, but it wasn’t and was a weird in between of not happening enough and not chill enough. We ended up staying around the small pool instead. Wish it was not a 9 hour drive to get here!

The brunch on Sunday was excellent. Carving station, omelette station, sushi station, salads, breads, muffins, caviar, crab, oysters and shrimp, and a dessert station. Scrumptious! The atmosphere was festive for the holidays. The mimosas were refreshing! It was the perfect place to spend the day celebrating the holiday with my best friends!

The resort is just feet away from the beach with amazing views of the beach with bright sunrises and even more colorful sunsets. Beautiful property

Everything about the property was great. Except for the housekeeping service. We stayed for two nights and the person did not bother to stock up on toiletries, so we ended up using our own products. They also missed on the turn-down service for a night.

Too die for in all categories. We had a wonderful five day stay. Look forward to another visit soon!

Really nice in all respects. The seaside location is amazing. The pool was astonishing and the grounds are a tropical forest well maintained.

This is a specific review for our experience wedding planning at this resort. Special shout out to Mark Master, he is a banquet manager at the resort. He is gracious and very helpful and helped create a pleasant experience regarding something that can be somewhat stressful (ie wedding planning!!!) Mark left a great impression on my wife and family during our planning process, and he reminds me of what Four Seasons customer service is all about. He is a great part of the team Side note - the resort is beautfiul as well as the banquet halls. We look forward to our wedding.

I have not visited a place more beautiful than Santa Barbara. We enjoyed our time at the Four seasons very much. The view behind the resort is the mountains and the ocean is right across the street. We stayed in one of the bungalows. Very cute and comfortable. Beds are a big thing for me. This one was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was extremely large and there was a dressing room. The staff was so friendly. We were greeted by everyone. The maid service was detailed, my shoes were lined up, the sweater on the chair was folded, our chargers were untangled. The food was amazing, although the cost was a shock for those of us coming from the Midwest. We did not utilize the Tydes restaurant /club across the street but those with us said it was beautiful. The only thing I would caution is to bring your own shampoo and body wash. We didnt because we were flying in and I regretted it. I strongly disliked the scent of the toiletries at the resort.

Beautiful location to get away from the tourists and enjoy the ocean. Not much parking. Spot is small but thats the point.

This has got to be one of the most beautiful resorts in the world! A slice of heaven! Right on the water. Delicious food and a HUGE Sunday Brunch! Just a delightful place to hang your hat.

Both the location & service is amazing, but BELLA VISTA food was completely disgusting. My girls and I went for lunch and I had a veggie burger which was completely dry and cold when I received it. My other girl friend got the vegan burger, and same issues. I will definitely not be returning for lunch. I’m completely disappointed in the quality of food.

I have never stayed at the Four Seasons Resort. But I have had breakfast there .beautiful keep grounds and very clean restaurant and very good service.

Quiet, relaxing and classy. My Mum loves it here so I too like it just not my speed as Im more low key-poor dude.

Imagine going to an amazing place where everything is so well taking care, from the spotless garden with all kinds of flowers, great views, delicious meals at !Bella Vista and a team that is so well prepared and friendly that you dont want to leave. So this is The Biltmore. So intimate and chic. But is that kind of cozy sophistication that you feel comfortable. I was incredibly surprised how everyone from there team that pass bye had always a smile and a loving attitude. We stayed in one of the bangalôs and loved. Feels private and quite. We made morning walks on the beach and we were only 15 min from the center. We loved so much we will be back in two weeks.

It was a birthday celebration for my partner. It couldn’t have been more perfect. First the staff is far beyond any other hotel I have been at. So happy and helpful like it’s the best job they have ever had. It’s makes your stay so much more pleasant and enjoyable. The food was out of this world delicious. Never seen caviar, not to mention TWO varieties, in a Sunday brunch spread. Well worth visiting for the atmosphere and staff services alone. The brunch covers every detail like capers for the lox and condiments for the blintzes. The Four Seasons will never go cheap on anything they do. Forever the gastronomical hallmark of excellence! Hit the polo fields afterwards by heading south on Jameson for a pleasant end to the afternoon

Their Sunday brunch is to die for. Views of the ocean, excellent service, endless bubbly. The food offering is vast...something for everyone...even the kids. Get a reservation several days ahead.

Great Classic Spot For Special Celebrations.

This resort is truly a 5 star resort with amazing dining, spectacular bungalow style rooms, and the world famous Coral beach club. If you really want a resort weekend getaway, this is the place!

The FourSeasons in Santa Barbara is the old Biltmore, and the location simply must be experienced as there are no other way to really appreciate the opulent nature of the old resort, in all fairness, FourSeasons have done a magnificent job of modernizing the resort, and the amazing FourSeasons touch is everywhere from amazing staff to fantastic rooms.. you cant go wrong if you choose to stay here, just be forewarned that this level of comfort and luxury come with a fairly hefty price tag.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights and 4 days to celebrate our wedding anniversary . We also had reserved a room for our adult daughter, her girlfriend and their 2 dogs . Although the resort is expensive - it is well worth it . The grounds are spectacular . Well maintained and very lush . The rooms were immaculate and they had doggie beds for the puppies with play toys, bowls and treats . They surprised us with complimentary Prosecco and lovely chocolates when we arrived . The food at the restaurants was excellent and the Sunday brunch is incredible . Well worth the price . The staff and concierge could not have been more helpful . They were attendant to every need . I would highly recommend and definitely go back .

Butterfly beach in the Four Seasons is one of the jewels of central California its definitely a five-star location the service is impeccable and its your go to place for a special occasion in Santa Barbara

This is the only resort I knew in my whole life that brought me to paradise. All the services, food, staff, amenities were all top notch. I would love to be back in here and spend my weekends and long vacations. This place is excellent and deserves to be recommended!

I got food poisoning from Bella Vista for lunch which ruined my trip to SB as I couldn’t do anything that we had planned. When I told the hotel about my situation on Sunday morning, they just said sorry and that they had to make a report. That’s it. I couldn’t believe that they didn’t try to make it up to me or anything so on my way out I told the hotel how disappointed I was about my situation and how they could care less that I got food poisoning and then they comped me 1 buffet. You spend $800/900 on a hotel night there, $150 for lunch which gave me food poisoning and I had to tell them to take care of me. What a disappointment. I have never been treated like this at any Four Seasons, let alone any hotel. Never staying here again. Wow.I do have to say though, the front desk guy Payton and the waiter Ricardo were amazing and very personable and made my birthday weekend enjoyable. If it wasn’t for them, I would be a lot more pissed.

Butterfly Beach is the best beach in Santa Barbara. It is the only west facing beach. Great place to grab a pic of the sunset. 4 Seasons is right on it. Wonderful place to stay.

Customer service was not what I expected, grounds are overpriced for what they are.

Well, if you want to stay at a place that is pricey, but is staffed with excellent people who are ready to fulfill every need you can think of, this is the place. It didnt hurt that the weather was fabulous (even with a bit of rain), but even if that wasnt the case the room and the atmosphere would have been more than enough.

Great Stay! Miles in reservations was the best, he took interest in getting me into the best most affordable accommodations for my family and even called me back twice to ensure that it was all ready for us. The grounds, food, rooms and service were all top notch. Jorge in the spa was so warm and attentive and eager to make sure that our short visit there was perfect. Truly an amazing experience!

The spread was top notch. Food was delicious and perfect, down to the fine details. If you love brunching, you will for sure enjoy this beautiful gem!

Everything about our visit was fantastic. We were celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary. We had been there before approximately four years ago. Everything on this trip was even better then we remembered. We are planning to make it our traditional annual anniversary trip.

We attended a wedding here last Friday. It was so well organized and beautiful. The food was some of the best I have ever had at a wedding. It was like a delicious dinner for 65 people .

This place is so serene and the emploees and sevice are outstanding! The Sunday brunch is fabulous, I just had to try everything and even went back for seconds! Definitely five stars for this wonderful place!

We really liked the button at each chair at the pool for asking for a server to come and take food orders.

WOW Experience Four Seasons Santa Barbara.I have shared my experience at the Four seasons with several friends and family members already & plan on continuing to share because our stay was wonderful. Thank you for helping me make great memories with my mom to celebrate her birthday. Your staff, amenities, grounds, property and resort experience was incredible. I was traveling for business & staying at the Californian which was wonderful. We decided to extend my trip & have my mom join me for her birthday. She originally made reservations at the Hilton Santa Barbara but after arriving we realized it was not suitable for our trip so we made a last minute decision to move to the Four Seasons. As soon as we stepped on property my mom started to relax and felt so special. We dont get to travel very often together so it was well worth it to see her experience a wonderful stay. We loved the grounds, the staff, the Bella Vista restaurant.

Maybe the best place in Santa Barbara county to have a late night cocktail. Excellent
