Loved studying my craft at Muddys! Have always wanted to give a toss at ceramics and couldnt believe how much more challenging the art form takes compared to the elegance thats portrayed on tv/film. This takes time to perfect! Definitely carries a special place within me for a skill Ive always wanted to explore where I could create anything that Ill find beautiful and personally accomplishing.
Clean, organized and plenty of supplies to satisfy all your exploratory pottery needs. Numerous Potter wheels makes sure that everyone gets space when inspiration hits. Various spaces are occupied by regular artists. The studio sponsors annual sample sales featuring in house artists.
Frustrating experience. A bit peeved that I missed one class due to the flu. I suggested starting the next month again so I was on schedule with the class, but the instructor persuaded me not to even though I wouldve showed up. I also only was able to take home 1 final piece since I could never find my pots. It turned out the instructor kept putting them in the next batch, so I never had a chance to paint them. I think my experience was an outlier, but it made me not want to renew due to the lack of organization.
Just called and the owner Gina was a tough cookie. Was calling about prices but she said so you want me to teach you one time and thats it you need to take a privatesI responded with Im not sure Im just pricing aroundThats why Im asking questionsI would not visit just based off that interactionVery condisending responsesIve called around since then, other places do offer ways to learn other than privatesAnd they respond kindly with patience

Daphne loves this place!!
Great all around experience here. Staff is very friendly and it’s affordable. The children classes look fun too!
Loving my first ever pottery experience!
I have had no previous experience with clay before in my life. The closest ever I got with ceramics is going to Color Me Mine ONCE and painting a mug, so I wasnt exactly sure if I would like the experience. It was surprisingly pleasant, and almost a bit of a stress reliever to roll around a rocky dough in my hands. The instructor offered me constructive criticism and helped me shape my clay elephant to where it wouldnt tip over and somewhat resembled an elephant. I also believe that its important to mention that I hadnt signed up for the classes or paid for them and was brought by a friend who loves ceramics. I think that I would totally sign up for these classes if I didnt live so far from it. By the end of the two hours, I realized that l could actually pursue this as a full-on hobby despite my artistic abilities and dirty fingernails and hands. I would recommend this place to anybody of all artistic abilities, because the class goes at a steady pace and is very diverse in terms of artistic skills, I saw children from kindergarten to teens who looked like they were in high school and very talented at sculpturing.
My daughter had her wheel throwing birthday party here and we were very pleased with them. The owner, Gina is absolutely wonderful! She is so passionate about what she does and her teaching was excellent. I strongly recommend Muddys Studio.
Kids have been building stuff here for years.
