A great little theater. We went to see the Mel Brooks play Spamalot. Surprisingly good!

Nicely decorated theater. I only put 3 stars because I wanted to let people know not to purchase tickets in the balcony or anywhere upstairs. Because there is absolutely no leg room unless you are a child. Other than that its a pretty nice place.

Great theater. No bad seats. Parking can be limited and you may have to walk a block or two. Head to Wondermade afterwards for great ice cream.

Saw the comedy portion of the Love Your Shorts Film Festival here, and it was absolutely amazing. The venue was great a so were all of the films. I look forward to coming to another event here.

Saw a local production of Mama Mia. Was very enjoyable. The theater is older... not sure how old. It is well maintained however. They served snack and drink, including beer wine and liquor. The seats were comfortable. I would go here again for the right event.

During this covid season, the theater was meticulous in staying within the guidelines of safety..seats were comfortable, restrooms were clean and accommodated the handicapped..will be back

We went to see Mama Mia, it was a great show! The theater has comfortable seats, clean restroom, womens room, like always, had a waiting line during intermission. Small concession area that served adult beverages, water, soda and popcorn. Volunteer staff we great too!

I love this theater!Beautiful art deco building in downtown Sanford, this theater really complements the downtown vibe. I went for Love Your Shorts film festival and after my first time there in 2012 Ive been back for plays and community events.

A beautiful theater and the seating is wonderful! There probably isnt a bad place in the house. A little concession stand is there with popcorn and snacks and drinks. Really enjoyed seeing the Footloose performance. There are definitely some stars in our town!

It is a quaint and cozy theater. I cannot wait to go back.

He was awesome! Im a Prince fan...he did all of his dances perfect. He did a spectacular job. He has very good maners. It just ended too soon. Would love too see him again! Lots of fun. Prince would be proud of him for sure! Very focused he really entertained the audience well just like Prince. Oh, the band was on point as well. Took me back in time! I love love love the Purple Madness 100%.

Very cool location and venue that has been there for a long time. The area is much improved since the city has worked on the surrounding areas and since there are plenty of dining options locally, you can get dinner in a show all within walking distance!

Great productions. Everyone is always so friendly.Ticket prices are reasonable.My daughter interned here and she loved it.

Great art deco theater. We saw a tribute performance of Chicago and Earth,vWind and Fire. The sound mix was off in the Chicago portion. The Earth, Wind and Fire was spot on. Great theater!

The show Mama Mia was amazing. I have seen other showes here and they never disappoint.

I have performed here in the past and it is nice. Huge stage lots of seating plays dance ect. Things like mama mia play there. It is so beautiful!

Went and saw my teacher in this theatre in Footloose. Amazing sound quality, great actors, great props, and a really nice theatre. Fabulous experience! Keep up the great work Wayne Densche Performing Arts center!

We saw a Christmas Carol. the theater was very nicely decorated for the holiday season. the staff was kind and attentive. there was a woman that even took my picture in front of their Christmas tree. i received an abundance of compliments on it. Ill include it so you can see how festive the place is. the production was well done. Thanks for a fantastic experience. Ive never seen the Christmas Carol live or in the movies. Im from the Buffalo / Niagara Falls, N.Y. area and it was wonderful to celebrate Christmas without the snow.

What an incredible theatre for this community. The facility is so wonderful. Not a bad seat in the house! The staff is always friendly. Parking can be a challenge but luckily the area around the theatre is a pleasure to walk around. Every production we have seen here has been very enjoyable. There is a really cute little corridor leading backstage that has a sign that says stage door. It reminds me of a nostalgic Broadway theater in NYC! Catch a show and stick around the area for dinner!

Great facility, excellent concession stand with very reasonable prices. People working there all extremely friendly, and great service. The show was an Eagles tribute band THE LONG RUN and they were outstanding.

Nice classic theater! Great balcony acoustics; better than the Hard Rock Live. They could use more rest room capacity since they serve drinks, etc.

Talk about a jump back in time when you enter this building! Seating is fantasic, traditional balcony seating, and ground level seating available. The staff is always dedicated to preserving the beauty of this historic building and providing phenomenal customer service. All As everytime All the time ;)

Enjoyed Gypsy one rainy afternoon. The only bummer couldnt buy snacks at intermission. Was cash only no sign saying that. One bathroom.

2.2.18 we caught the Motown Revue at the Wayne Densch. In the 80s I saw GWTW... 4 reels, the middle 2 in reverse order. What a hoot! The place sat in disrepair for years, but as Sanford has been reborn so has the theater. Seems like theres always something worthwhile happening there. Check it out!

This was my 1st time visting the Wayne Densch Performing Art Center. Such an amazing historical place. The Dream Girls was great. Ill definitely be back.

This theater is a great place to see a performance. Not a bad seat in the house. Willow Tree is right around the corner too if you like German food.

Went to the Short Film Festival here and enjoyed ourselves. Staff was courteous and the facility was clean. Its not your new theater but its a great place for smaller venues. Really enjoyed the Short Films we saw.

We love that this is still a Sanford Staple. It is retro and a much older building but it is kept clean and is nice. no frills

Love, love, love this local historic theatre. Great people and awesome shows. Have seen many over the years. Cast always comes outside afterwards to meet & greet. Tonight we went to see Legally Blonde and it was amazing! Top notch talent and a down-home theatre. Support local arts and support this theatre!

Comfortable seating is a plus at this historic theater. The balcony seating affords great views of the stage and the acoustics are awesome. There is a tiny concession downstairs and a small lounge area with a concession upstairs that wasnt in use during the show I attended.

Classy place. They allowed our drinks in the auditorium. Good view even from messanine.

I saw legally blonde and came in, was given my ticket and escorted to my seat to then was berated by an angry patron saying I stole her friends ticket and proceeded to try to get me to leave although the EMPLOYEE took me to the seat! Afterwards the patron snatches my ticket from me and takes it to the box office people so I stay sitting there from confusion.Then a volunteer came to me and asked me to show him my ticket that was taken from me then makes me get up and proceeds to question me like I was pulling a fast one. He then refused to show me where my new seat was but thankfully there was a nice young woman that apologized for everything and walked me to my seat. As a Mexican/Salvadorian woman Im use to this by white men but NOT in a theater setting! I came by myself and bought a ticket in ADVANCED to avoid all of this and am really disappointed in the way everything was handled.

My grandson graduated 5 grade and the school had it there a very nice place . I will be going back to check out some of the plays they have coming soon .

Went to see a showing of Alfred Hitchcocks The Birds here. Lots of fun and very clean bathrooms. It has a nice vibe to it.

Recently it has been renovated. Concerts, plays, meetings.
