One time I lured four people into my garden shed, locked the door from the outside and made them solve a crossword puzzle and a sudoku before I let them out, but this experience is way better. Next time I do it at my house I will add some things to the shed like a foul smell and maybe some live cockroaches to make it more interesting. Try Secret Society you will not be disappointed. The only thing is if you do it with more than four people then everybody is trying to be a boss and a lot of time gets wasted and everybody ends up talking over one another until a fight breaks out.

My partner and I attempted Protocol Zero and it was tough, but amazing! We got about 85% of the way. The production value was superb, puzzles were all different and interactive. I cant say enough good things about the room! We definitely want to try their other ones soon!

We did Rest Easy Motel last night. The staff member was very nice and helpful. The room itself was constructed very well and the puzzle were lots of fun. You can tell that the owner put a lot of thought and work into it.

This was our second escape room and it went great! Four of us, mom, dad, kids age 11 and 13 escaped with several minutes to spare. It was a good challenge but we asked to have helpful clues if we were totally headed in the wrong direction. They gave helpful hints but didnt ruin/spoil it. I would visit their other locations in a heartbeat.

Very intriguing and interesting. We chose the rest easy motel room which was not so easy after all. Its said to be the most difficult room. However we did manage to get to two rooms but couldnt get to the third room in the given 60 minutes. If you want to give your brain some exercise this is the place to go. Its worth every single penny. Highly enjoyable experience!P. S -The staff is extremely friendly.

Just last night 11-23-19, a family group of 7 of us successfully escaped from the Cat Burglar story/room of Escape Artists space in Sanford, FL (with about 5 minutes to spare). It seems that all 4 or 5 of their rooms have a conceptual continuity storyline going and, looking at the stats, Cat Burglar is a mid to upper level game difficulty. We loved it and had a great time. Come on out and enjoy everything downtown Sanford has to offer on weekends and enjoy Escape Artists especially!!

Carter told my party, who arrived 12 minutes late, we couldnt go into the room we prepaid for - even though his coworker said out loud and within ear shot that it hadnt started yet. Will go back next week with our credits and then never again. Straight up just lost repeat business for 4 individuals who regular escape room establishments

Took my great grandson and son. Grandson picked the hardest room. The motel. It was my first time, son and great grandson have been many times. Didnt finish but got real close. One more thing to unlock an then solve one more puxZzle to escape. Diffently will do again.

Went with the whole family and we all had a great time. If youve never tried, this is one of most fun and stimulating experiences that you can have. Great for all ages. We will definitely be coming back to try some of the more difficult rooms

We did the Protocol Zero challenge. It was a great challenge! All challenges here are multiple rooms to escape. Our game host was David and he did a great job explaining the room and when we needed a clue he was able to give us just enough of a clue to push us along without giving away too many details. The rooms are very well done and very well themed. They go beyond your typical combo and key locks and introduce some great and surprising elements. The puzzles do not require previous knowledge and everything can be solved from the materials given to you in the room. They also have a one key/one clue policy.

This is by far the best escape game I have ever played, Secret society was a magnificent game and had tons of fun puzzles for myself and my group. Will be coming back to play the rest of the games.

This place is awesome!!! We have done all 4 rooms. All of the hosts are great. Last night we had Carter and he was amazing. We showed up a little late, because of weather, and since no one was booked after us, we still got the full time. All the rooms are so cool and creative. I really love all the special features they have. I highly recommend this place.

Protocol zero was really immersive and was a good difficulty for my group of new players, our game master was helpful and friendly, definitely heading back to play the other games next weekend. I highly recommend escape artist for new players or people looking for fun activities in Sanford!

We went as a family and had a pretty fun time. The first clue was ridiculously hard for us for some reason so we actually had to get a clue on what to do from the game master. We ended up losing but since no one was waiting on our room they let us finish it out which was very nice of them.

Definitely worth the trip. The staff here was very helpful and knowledgeable about the rooms available. Myself, my wife, and my 10 year old daughter did the Cat Burglar room. We only do private rooms and they offer private experiences with a very reasonable up-charge. The decor and effects in the rooms was great. After doing the first room we enjoyed it so much that we stayed and did another. The difficulty was just right and the staff provide the perfect amount of hints and clues. We have done a lot of escape rooms in the Central Florida area and this was one of the best.

Escape Artists is incredible! We played all four rooms and they are amazing! Challenging, immersive, awesome decor/props, smart logic, great employees and so much more! We consider ourselves to be escape game enthusiasts so weve done independent mom and pops to corporate monsters and Escape Artists is still our favorite! Escape Artists was my first experience doing an escape room, needless to say I was shocked how intricate the room was. I had an absolute blast with my team. It was exciting and very interactive, there was far more detail put into the room than I could have expected. I highly recommend giving Escape Artists a try. My husband and I traveled to Sanford while we were visiting a few weeks ago to see the town and we decided to check out Escape Artists with the kids. It was one of the best times we had on vacation. The people running the games were very friendly and the entire operation went quickly and efficiently. Sadly we didnt escape but we will get out next time :) I even purchased gift certificates for the family we were staying with in Florida so they could check it out when they had time. Seriously check this place out!

Played the cat burgler and protocol zero both were awsome rooms both very interactive many many different types of puzzles. Both very challenging. Great stories in volved in both rooms both guides did a great job. There are four rooms cant wait to the last two. Rhey use some very unique twist that i havnt seen used in other escape rooms

Played secret society earlier this week with a big group of friends and had a blast! the rooms look like movie sets (played protocol 0 last time we were here). we have played a ton of escpape games back home and these arent the ones EVERYONE else is doing and they are challenging so if you like challenges and new and different escape games this is the best place for it.

Honestly, very well done room. It was a great experience all across the board. Challenging but still fun. 5 out of 5. Also Sarah was phenomenal. She helped us but not by directly telling us anything.

A small group of friends and I decided to trek down from Jacksonville to Sanford and try out all of the escape rooms at this location. I had heard that the rooms were great by a friend, and wanted to see if they were worth a visit. It was risky booking all four rooms at once - I mean, if the first room is bad - were pretty stuck - but any trepidation on our part was quickly taken care of after the first room.Our group consisted of 5 seasoned Escape veterans and naturally we defeated the first room, Cat Burglar.. Or narrowly defeated it, without a single clue. Then we hit the Rest Easy Motel. And had a bit more challenging time. This was our toughest room and time ran out while we still had a few more steps to go.We tried the third room Secret Society and again were very narrowly defeated on the last puzzle. The immersion level in this room especially was fantastic. All the rooms were great, but you can tell that much time was spent in adding lots of details to this room.Finally we hit Protocol Zero and redeemed ourselves a bit by winning this room. Another awesome Space Themed room, with lots of cool electronicky things and off the charts immersion.Our hosts throughout the day, Bobby, Nancy and the ever-reliable Carter (who hosted us through two rooms) were all fantastic, and were some of the most attentive hosts Ive ever met, walking us through a few things after each room that we missed, or just pointing out different things about the rooms, and answering all our questions.If youve done all the Escape Rooms in your local town, this place is well worth the visit. There are several local unique restaurants close by as well if you want to grab something between rooms.Fantastic experience and a great way to spend a day off.

I had the opportunity to check out the Escape Artists - Escape Rooms today 1/1/2019, Ive never done an escape room before but have always liked puzzles. I did 2 different rooms solo, to assist customers they do give you a white board and dry erase markers to make notes as needed and a couple of free hints that dont impact your score. I started with Cat Burglar the story was well thought out and the puzzles were well written, the rooms were clean and well designed. Walking into the Cat Burglar room makes you feel like you are entering a completely different place. The second room / story I took on was The Rest Easy Motel, this had a higher degree of difficulty then Cat Burglar, still maintained a good feel with fun puzzles (frustrating at times), the decor did make you feel like you were in a low budget motel.A few tips for the weary travelers:1. Be nice to the GMs (Game Masters), they want you to succeed and have fun.2. If the room seems frustrating stop for a moment breath and think about what you missed or are looking for. The answer is most likely right in front of you.3. Dont be afraid to ask for help.4. If you plan on going solo be better at this kind of thing then I am, I failed both rooms. (Read: Caught, and Kidnapped)4a. if you are planning to go solo understand you may be placed with other people looking to play the game, dont ruin their experience. Work together and escape.Over all I would happily go back, I plan on dragging people with me next time to make sure we can win.

Escape Artists is a local Escape Room company in Sanford. All their games are well-done. As a bit of an escape room junkie whos played more than 15 rooms in many different cities (and a few countries) I really think their rooms are some of the best. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is plenty of free street parking near the location. Make sure to come a bit early to sign the waivers and use the bathroom before you start.

Went tonight to complete a team building activity. Having done many, several things impressed me. The cleanliness is important to me and they hit it. Every time someone walked in the door someone made sure to welcome them. The instructions and “goal” were well thought out. Sam, our watcher, set a fun tone with the group and gave options depending on how you wanted to do. The room, Cat Burglar, was a good team building room. Not so hard that newbies couldn’t get it but challenging enough for those that had. Good job!!

Ive done three of their rooms. All exceptional. Ive tried other places in Orlando as well but I still feel like Escape Artists tops them all. The puzzles dont feel like a chore, but are a real challenge with creative twists to them. Each new room or secret passage that opens up feels rewarding. Doesnt look like much from the outside, but this place is a hidden gem in Central Florida.

Very fun thing to do in Sanford. These are very popular now and these guys do it right.

If you have never been or have never played this game, this is the place to go. My family and I have been and done all 4 rooms and we are hoping they expand. The employees are super nice and helpful and you will NOT be locked in. I have been to other escape rooms and they are NOTHING compared to this one. Make reservations beforehand and if you have a large group just put them in different rooms. If you like to solve mysteries this is the place to be.

After having gone to Escape Artists now three times (played all their current rooms) i figured it would be a good time to finally write a review. Escape Artists is a great little local company that has great puzzle design that works for both new players that have never tried an escape room and enthusiasts.I am rating this a 5 star purely on the customer service we received after a mess up and how enjoyable of all of their rooms were. We originally scheduled our last time for Rest Easy Motel at the last moment (about an hour before) when 2 other players were already scheduled for the same room (since its public booking). When we arrived they had already started the room with the others and meant we could no longer play that time slot. Now of course after driving 30+ minutes to be able to play a game it was severely disheartening. Nancy gave us immediate response while there to refund our game time and gave us the flexibility to book for free for any time slot we wanted that was available. Like usual though I booked again at the last moment and they were able to work with us. Once arriving again to play Nancy personally ran our game and made sure we had a great time during the game. Even though we didnt get out the entire experience was the most enjoyable of our 3 times (i guess technically 4) there. I know most would probably rate this as a 4 at best after our experience but we were well taken care of after an accidental mixup. Overall we havent had any real complaints with the games there and had some very interesting takes on puzzles. We plan to return once their fourth game is up and running.

Our first visit ever in an escape room and this place is AWESOME!! Our first adventure was with Protocol Zero with our Game Master Jordan and WOW .... so much fun!! We immediately jumped into another adventure, Cat Burglar ... where our Game Master Sam assisted as needed and we actually completed that one with 2 mins 30 secs left ... and it was even better!! We will definitely be returning to complete the other two rooms as it was absolutely AWESOME!! The staff was very courteous, friendly and the environment very clean. Highly recommend Escape Artist in Sanford, you will not regret it and it will not break the bank for date night.

Did rest easy hotel for my first escape room experience.. while it May be my own lack of experience. I felt like I spent an hour spinning combination locks just to learn later that it was the most difficult challenge and 80% of guests fail

I have gone and completed all three rooms with different sets of friends. I cannot say enough about how well thought out these rooms are. Everything builds up to a climax and is related to the theme/story. The puzzles are unique but not ridiculous (for the sake of being ridiculous or time-killers). I would highly highly recommend this venue for first time or experienced Escape Room players.

I drove an hour to my home town, Sanford to experience this I have nothing but good words about Escape Artists. From the minute you walk in youre greeted by the nicest people. The owners are helpful and encouraging. My family and I did rest easy motel and let me tell you, it was tough. The entire set up was absolutely incredible. Very well thought out and the most fun Ive had in a long time. If youre considering this, make a reservation now and go. I promise, you will not regret it!

I went to Escape Artists with tons of excitement because I didnt know there was one in Sanford and high hopes because this would be my 3rd escape room and it was more than I expected!! I did cat burglar and it was very challenging but I was so impressed with the room and my mom loved it for her first time. Definitely going back to try rest easy motel and by far my favorite escape room out of the 3 Ive experienced

(Only doing 4 out of five because I was only in one room) The room was simple but complicated, and had a situation when you could mess up bit it was still possible allowing for misteakes. It also had 2 other rooms connected to it. The GM, Sam, was energetic, nice, and was good at explaining what to do when you were lost. You can use as many hints as possible, but if youre competitive you should know that each one over three lowers your score. Check it out and you wont be disappointed. Remember to book your room.

After learning about Escape Artists from a billboard, I decided to look it up and see what rooms they had. Having done escape rooms before, I was thrilled to have one so close to home. On a snap decision, a few friends and I decided to take on the Cat Burglar room and it was amazing. The room was well thought out and absolutely a blast. Will definitely be heading that way to take on their other rooms.

Really disappointed with the lack of customer service at this escape room. Poor communication between staff members and everyone seems to be on a different page. Especially with an individual name Carter.

The room we played had a max of 6 people. Think 6 was too much. 4 would be a better as it was a little cramped in the rooms

Weve played 30+ rooms at this point and I must say Escape Artists makes games for the enthusiasts out there. They make games that are fun to play rather than let me some how finish this puzzle that is taking me 20 mins to do. I was told by my friends to check out Rest Easy Motel which I did and really enjoyed, but I think I enjoyed Protocol Zero more. It was a hard game, but very doable for 2 people! We will be back to try the other games soon!!

This is a fairly small place, with only two rooms, but the room we did was excellent. The puzzles were interesting, and the decor was really good. The room had a few secrets that were triggered via electromagnets, which are fun.I would definitely go back there and do the other room, given the opportunity.

Went to Escape Artists this past weekend with 5 others. We did the Rest Easy motel room. We had so much fun here! The guide was ready to help when needed and even cracked jokes with us throughout.I will say that is one of the easier rooms I’ve done compared to those available in Downtown Orlando or on international drive.We escaped though! And that’s all that matters.

I won a couple of tickets to the Cat Burglar room so myself, along with seven others decided to go to Escape Artists for a friends birthday, as a surprise. With the exception of one, none of us had ever done any of the escape rooms before. We had such a great time! Joshua was our host, and he was wonderful and very engaged with our group. Unfortunately we ran out of time, with only a couple of puzzles left, but we enjoyed ourselves immensely! We are excited and eager to go back again. Once we can all work our schedules out, we will be back to tackle the other room. My friend, who had been to one of the rooms on I-drive said that this was by far a better experience! In fact, we went on December 2nd, and we are all still talking about it today! Great memories! Cant wait to do it again!

My son, grandson and I visited this place and it was the best fun we have ever had together. They are great! The motel was awesome, but we will go back to play cat burglar. Believe me, you will have fun! There may be some screaming involved. The staff was great!

Protocol Zero was our first escape room. Since we had nothing to compare it with, we enjoyed it. In retrospect, it was not very well done. The game had to be stopped so our game master could fix one of the props... a cheesy childs toy that was not working properly.Since then, we have done a number of escape rooms in Orlando and in other cities. Secret Society is on par with the best we have seen elsewhere. It is very well done.We had 2 remaining, so we went back yesterday for Rest Easy Motel. We arrived early for our mid-afternoon slot, and the staff let us begin nearly an hour prior to our booking. That was nice.But, the staff here has no energy, no understanding of great customer service, and really seems to mail it in. My wife and 2 boys were working our way thru the puzzles, and again the game had to be stopped so the staff could reset a puzzle that didnt work properly. We ran out of time and were quickly ushered out of the room. The staff didnt give us a warning, and when we asked for more time we were told a curt no. They said they had to get another room set up, which didnt make sense as we were already scheduled to be in the room at that time. I guess its just the nature of escape rooms, that sometimes you run out of time, but in other locations weve been granted an additional 5 minutes, or been told that we were running out and asked if we wanted hints. When Ive already given this company over $300, and as a returning customer, I figured Id be treated a little more kindly, been granted a bit more leeway. I figured on a sleepy mid-afternoon on a Tuesday, theyd have no issue giving a few minutes. I complained and asked and they pretty much told me to pound sand.You can tick off tourists on I-Drive and be just fine. But, if you are going to run a business in Sanford, and therefore depend upon locals, you ought to do a bit more training on your customer service.

We have done a number of escape rooms in the Orlando area. We wanted to go somewhere a bit closer as we were brining kids for the first time (ages 9&11 whom had no idea what an escape room was). The room very visually interesting and the clues were creative. We tried to let the kids help as much as possible which was time consuming for our group. We technically didnt finish because we forgot we had to actually leave the room (some rooms have you finish when you reach the cash/gems) but in all honesty we completed the room. Kids had a blast and were able to help. Overall great experience .
