Very clean. Not crowded. Beautiful landscapes. Kids love it there, parents love bringing kids and animals. Must visit with kids under 7
We love Abernathy Greenway. It is so beautiful and well-kept. The playground structures are so beautiful but the kids also really like them. They have a small but nice picnic pavilion with bathrooms attached. The park is also conveniently located in Sandy Springs, and it’s often pretty quiet there, which is really nice during Covid-19. Great park!
Abernathy Apartments has been my home for a couple of years now! I can say the time Ive been here have been nothing but a breeze. Specifically the staff that is in the office. If you want a family atmosphere but to be close to the city without hearing the parties at night or trash all around just hit up Grace Abernathy!!!
My wife and I enjoy taking the grandchildren here regularly. Safe and beautiful place to play and relax.
Beautiful park. Nice art as well as unique playsets. Only one toddler swing, but it wasnt very crowded even on a perfect weekday afternoon.
Only one tree for shade. There are metal playground structures and swings for kids, but who would want to bring their kid out here without any trees for shade, or some of those triangular man-made canopies. This is the south. The south gets hot! Plenty of concrete, plenty of metal benches, and metal playground structures to retain the suns heat. The only time one can see families enjoying this park is when the weather is perfect (as in sunny but quite cool outside). Whoever designed this park wanted to do so for show/curb appeal, with its concrete walking trail, and couple of artsy structures, not for actual use as a park.Go to the Dunwoody Park instead where there are plenty of trees, plenty of seating, plenty of playground (swings, merry-go-round, slides, etc.,) for kids, an area to hang up your hammock, and there is even a piano.
Cute park. Covered picnic tables. Clean bathrooms!
Beautiful but a small park. Great for small children.
Great park for walking, playing, swinging, dog watching or walking. Intriguing interactive art playscapes for children to explore. No standard playground equipment here except some wonderfully tall swings. There are some fun secret paths in the landscaping along the back for kids to discover.Hasnt been crowded during Covid, so been able to take turns without violating 6 feet. Good paths for kids little ride on scooters or trikes and such, just have to be mindful about pedestrians. Sandy Springs spent a small fortune on this park and the new sister strip of park across Abernathy. That area is gravel paths and ideal for dog walkers and others who dont want to be crowded by families. The outdoor sitting area under the structure is still usable and fully ventilated, but the bathrooms and water fountain are rightly closed during Covid.
My children absolutely loved this. It’s securely fenced off from the road. The play equipment is beautiful and unique. There’s something for kids of all ages and a beautiful walking path. Plenty of parking and a picnic shelter as well.
Park is very close to Abernathy so not as quiet or peaceful as other parks but it is beautiful and the playground is fun for the kids...
Calm and not crowded with plenty of parking. Last two times there some photographers were taking wedding pictures.
Beautiful, beautiful park. Easy to find and easy to get in and out of. There’s plenty of parking. It’s located in a great area and I feel safe anytime I visit. I really enjoy bringing my nephews to this park whenever they’re in town. They absolutely love the jungle gyms. The bathrooms and water fountains are clean and well attended. The landscapers do a great job maintaining the scenery. You’ll have a great time at Abernathy Greenway!
Great place to walk and bring your kids
Its a nice place to walk and bring kids of any age.
Nicely manicured and maintained. Very pretty and enjoyable.
Cute and quaint little park!
Small but nice park. Some activities for children but everything close for now due to COVID19.
Brought my 1-year old here to play. To be honest, when we first arrived I was a little underwhelmed. Theres a few structures for kids to climb and play on, but with my daughter being so small, I didnt think thered be much for her to do. She had a great time walking around and touching the glass-mosaic wall. I took her down a couple of the slides, and she loved the swings. Took off one star because theres only a single bucket-swing.
Small but very nice well maintained, nice and green.
Such a unique park!
Very nice, well care, I feel secure, friendly, with parking and bathrooms
This would have been five stars if they had water fountains that actually worked
Beautiful! Aesthetically pleasing. Great for kids. Small trail but visually appealing. Clean bathrooms and covered rest area for snacks, etc.
A nice neighborhood park with 4 play areas and some swings. The only real downside is the lack of plentiful parking.
Inspired art park for kids
Cute little park
Really nice linear Park. Handful of nice playground things for the kids. Upkeep is fantastic. Artwork and landscaping are beautiful.
Nice linear/ pocket park in Sandy springs. Restroom and water fountains are nice and well maintained.
Cute little area. I wouldn’t especially come out of my way to go here, but since it’s on the way to/from school I take my nanny kids there sometimes. The slide is a big hit. Would be better if it were shaded!
Nice park. We liked it overall, but it was more geared towards older kids. Nice little spot to hang out or go for a walk though!
Great place for a relaxing walk!!!!
Beautiful and family friendly. I wish that it was a 24 hour area. Its even more beautiful when the sun goes down.
This park is a treasure! Its very unique with a lot of art. In fact the play equipment is the art. Art that kids and climb and explore! Definitely worth a trip
Love this little park, great for small kids and walking. This park has no large fields or open space, but for a small park its perfect.
Very nice little park on Abernathy
Nice park. Great place to workout or go for a gentle stroll.
Clean and well maintained park for kids ...
Neat play scapes, good, level, walking paths
Pretty clean and unique
Picturesque. Definitely has a great view, very nice little spot for outdoors photography. A very popular spot on weekends. Can be a quiet spot if you show up at the right time. If youve got kids with energy, this is a great run-around spot for kids to burn off excess energy. If you want to watch yoga, some groups and individuals come out to stretch out. Its located in a very nice area with very nice people.
I adore this park! Great walking areas and tons of play space for kids. Nice pavilion with clean restrooms. Parking is a challenge on busy days but overall great.
Very nice park
Very nice little park. Well maintained and great for walking.
Nice walk area, but not a lot of friendly play zones for kids 2-7.
I will be leaving a Review later i just got here. But so far looks super Nice !!! Not a bad bike ride from Preserve of Dunwoody. Your local guild Eric
Our grandchildren always like to visit this beautiful park.
We really love this greenway. It has a lot of swings, play area, a grass lawn to relax and lots of means for anyone to enjoy.
It was an interesting visit, the Greenway reminded me of the Addams Familys yard that I would see in the movies and TV. I loved it. I highly recommend walking through it at night and in the fog. The weirdly shaped playground equipment and statues would make great props for a Halloween trail. Best Greenway Ive been on yet in the metro Atlanta area.
Most fun I had at a playground and Im an adult!
A nice shaded park for the most part. Incredible walking trails to help keep you on track with your workout regimen. Perfect for kids of all ages and it also has restrooms with water fountains. Pokemon go heaven with 3 gyms and 5 to 6 pokestops. This is a great area to get back into nature, see great art, and to get in shape.
Great place to go with the kids
Great park. Great art works too. Love it. Son loves it. We all love it. Not too big, but enough for him to expend energy and keep him occupied for at least a couple hours.
I love this little park. The restrooms still need some help.
Nice short Greenway but too close to the main street
We had fun with the snow!
The concept of a linear park, rather than one more circular, is interesting. Kids love it. There are also several benches to sit on to keep an eye on your kids. Lots of things to do to keep them entertained!
Beautiful park. Very little parking
Very nicely maintained park with few activities/ swings for children. Evening time in summers is usually a busy spot.
No shade. Not worth coming with toddlers or young children on a hot, sunny day.I can see how this park would be totally lovely in the evening or in the early morning, before it gets hot. There was just 1 bench with shade. The play structures and swings were almost all too hot for the littles to touch or slide down. I can see how it would be a fun park given the right kind of weather or time of day, but our experience this morning was kind of a killjoy.
Love it. Provides a quick 15-30 min getaway for my daughter and me, especially on busy days or just to stop by while driving around doing groceries. Has a linear walkway, swings, kids slides, a big spider thing to climb and swing from and nice pieces of art donated by local communities/businesses. Only probable down-side depending on the time of the day ... not much shade.
Great urban playground for the kids
Great neighborhood park.
Nice place to relax
Nice place for family fun time.
It was a nice little park to walk the dog, or bring the kids.
Nice park, has a lovely and artsy play ground. The only downside is no pavilion at the playground, the pavilion is on the other side of the parking lot so its quite a walk. But all the material for the playground is nice, the metal bars still cool to the touch even under hot sun. Im impressed.
Clean but not much for grade sc6kids to play with.
This park is really cool for the whole family, the honeysuckle rows are beautiful!! Its very artistic and eclectic not like a run of the mill park . I would definitely recommend this place.
A nice park to hang out with kids. My 4 year old son loves going over there.
Great spot for the kids to play or just a light jog. The playground portion is interesting and artistic with a few places nearby to eat later. It also has a spot to stop for picnics, if you feel so inclined :)
Nice place for kids to play .. slides and landscapes are good. My kid loves this place ..
This is a beautiful park; I would easily give it 5 stars, but there is NO SHADE on the playground and its scorching hot in the summer. A major design flaw. After about 10-15 minutes your kids will need to head to the shaded pavilion to cool down.
Clever and creative green space. Uncovered, so it gets very hot in the summer. Many of the surfaces are concrete and metal, which are not forgiving. Interesting and inspiring. Landscaping is artistic as well.
Love to just come here for a quick walk with my dog. Its clean and the art pieces throughout the park are fun. Great for relaxing on a lazy Sunday.
Beautifully artistic park for both kids an adults. They do offer a bathroom and picnic tables in a covered area.
This park is beautiful! They have a nice fence to keep kids safe from the busy road too. The equipment can get very hot in the sun!
Fun spot for The dogs
Cool little Park to get out and walk your dog or just to get out and walk around is very nice and clean
Nice place to bring children, and do some walking. The only thing I should mention is that in the summer the slide gets extremely hot and the children can get a pretty bad burn so be careful of the very young ones that can’t get down quickly.
We love this unique playground. It is very well maintained, the toys are basic and fun, for all ages. Restrooms are always clean.
Nice and clean. Kids love running around here.
Well designed park. Very pretty and creative.
A casual art park/playground. Its nice to walk up and down while the kids play. Limited parking.
Nice small park.
