Art & Soul Studio

We had a wonderful time using the pottery wheels during our lesson as we tried to make our bowls. Its harder than you may think! It was also a LOT of fun! Our instructor was super sweet and patient and we did end up with our pieces to be dried, which we will return to paint in a couple of weeks. Its definitely a messy process so wear old clothes.They offer a lot of premade items to paint so looks like it would be a good place to take even fairly young kids on a rainy day. Our lessons for making pottery were $50 each but we were busy for an hour and a half (close to 2 hours, actually) so thats not bad at all! They provide everything you need except the artistic ability. I seriously lack any so will return to paint what was supposed to be a bowl but looks more like a candle holder. Still, its mine! And it was a great experience with my adult child.

Took my daughter for an impromptu visit for her birthday. No appointment was needed. Tons of paints to choose from but the pottery is a little more than youll be expecting. But for a special occasion visit it wasnt bad. It takes about a week to fire and finish your piece.

Super cool place. I went there for a kids birthday party where the kids all painted figurines that will get baked to form a glaze. The employees were all very nice and the kids had a great time.

It is a very nice idea and I love to have a pottery painting place in Brookhaven. I want to love them but too much cons. It could have been easily improved and I look forward to them doing better:PROS: Very nice staff, they set up and clean up everything for you and they check in with you momentarily to make sure you have everything you need. And the entire metro atlanta seem to have only 3 locations for pottery painting. This one is the only one that makes sense to us in terms of location so we have no choice.CONS: Their scheduling is extremely confusing. I have been there twice so far. For both times I have called in a few days ahead. I was told there were parties going on at a certain time and I was told to come in after those times. I followed instructions, planned my day around it and went in with my 8 year old, and both times I was told there was YET ANOTHER PARTY that is now going to occupy the studio and we were asked to leave. Luckily they have two tables outside and if you are ok to sit outside, you can and they still serve you and you can go in and get colors and tools and materials anytime you want. We went there twice already and still havent had the pleasure to sit inside the actual studio. We were lucky the weather was great and we could sit outside. Definitely dont know what to do in colder months or rainy days. I casually (and frustratedly) said you guys needed to have your schedule published online and the staff was like, oh, thats a good idea! Ahh.The second time we were there, the party that made us sat outside only occupied two tables. There were two free tables inside the studio which we could have sat in but then the studio employee wouldnt let us share. I dont understand why.Another con is, their selection is extremely limited. I was looking at their past pictures and they have planters, gnomes, and containers and such. Two times we went in they had extremely basic things. They dont even keep a good inventory on cups and plates. Most of the things have designs printed on it. Their colors ran out and isnt a full selection too and that is very annoying. Last time I went people were looking for true black and only two shades of green were available. Teal was not available at all.Overall it has a LOT of potential to be a much better experience to everyone. It is up to the owners to do it. They are not very difficult to do: 1. Keep better inventory and variety on colors and pottery; 2. Do not permit small parties take up the entire studio; 3. Require parties to reserve at least 72 hours ahead so other customers can reasonably plan around it ahead of time and doesnt get kick out last minute 4. Publish their scheduling / party / studio close time online.

Had great fun with my Granddaughter painting the pieces we found here. Staff very helpful and cheerful.

Nice studio space, decent sound track, helpful staff, excellent glazing colors and choices; suggestion, I would like to have a better selection of mug shapes ans sizes.We will be back again for another Creative Day!

Great place to paint objects or canvass photos.. Fun time had there. Did my first canvass painting.

Enjoyed my time here! I will definitely return. Great place to relax and enjoy art alone, or with friends and loved ones.

Just had my daughters 8th birthday party here and it was a blast! We did a guided canvas art project and the teacher was amazing with dealing with 17 kids. Maybe a little pricey, but I am willing to pay for high-level service. It was worth it! We will be back.

I took my class to a field trip here and they had so much fun. It is an amazing place and I highly recommend it. Can’t wait to go back!

Very helpful and friendly staff, all my pottery pieces have turned out wonderful! They provide a huge selection of ceramics, glass products and canvases. Would definitely recommend having a birthday party or any event here!!

Very nice place, staff was excellent. The only problem was I took a group of seniors and there was a flight of stairs without a ramp. They were very tired but enjoyed themselves other than that.

I made reservations for a mothers day outing with my children. I drove 2 hours to get there & was told I had to come back 3 hours later due to the fact that they double booked the studio. I was spoken to very rudely by the other person who booked the studio twice. She said she wasnt going to share the studio with me & there were 2 empty tables there. The studio allowed this lady to bully me out of studio time when I had a reservation as well. I told the other customer thanks for ruining my mothers day with a few other choice words & walked out. Her husband came up to my car cussing me out & threatening me with my children in the car. I came back 3 hours later as discussed. The other party was still there & I was told to come back some other time because they werent sure when the other party would be leaving. My mothers day was ruined. The owner offer me an apology & a buy one get one free mug painting. That was absolutely nothing compared to the humiliation & embarrassment that I endured. I highly dont recommend them.
