Friendly staff, nice practice range, putting and chipping greens in good shape, course tee to green are in very good condition, clean carts and everyone self distancing or wearing masks. As a senior player of about a 12 handicap, this flat course still presents quite a challenge, especially when flags are positioned in strategic locations on some large, undulating greens. Best of all, excellent rates for seniors!
The best bang for your buck in trivalley, heck for the whole East Bay probably! Tee to green all good condition. The green is in great shape in the winter, pin placement always very tricky to defend this straight forward course. Blue tee got some teeth to it for single digit handicapper. Finishing holes of ninth and eighteenth are best you can ask for! Make you want to come back again and again.
Nice public course. Brand new carts. Friendly staff. Mostly well kept course aside from lack of regard for the greens .. ball marks are not repaired and the greens suffer for it. Geese can also wreak havoc on the greens at times. Have enjoyed our outings here
The course was in much better shape than 3 weeks ago, great job. A really fun course. Thank you
Very happy with the cost to value ratio. Played Bridges the day earlier. San Ramon is cheaper and better maintained. Its been about 25 years since I played there. Enjoyed it very much.
Over 90 min frost delay. Dont try to play early here staff is awful
Somewhat challenging course with a limited length range. Definitely worth the price and the visit.
Wonderful course, both greens and fairways in good condition. Great deal for Seniors,, golf with a cart for under $40, cant beat that. Well definitely play there again.
Decent little course little slow sometimes. Love the 9th hole with the island green
This is a fun course with a wide variety of challenging holes, encourage everyone to play here regardless of skill level or age.
Clean, friendly, and taking proper Covid Precautions.
Great course for the price. Have played multiple rounds and enjoyed every one of them.
Terrible customer service from Jay on Sunday, June 27th. The course isnt kept up well. Ill never play this course again. 0/10 SMH
Played today when they had a tournament. It took 3 hours to play 9 holes. No one was managing the course (Ranger, etc), and I really think they overbooked. It was the worst golf experience in 10 years for me. PT Barnum could do a better job with this circus. Skip it please until they find people with talent to run it.
San Ramon Golf Course is a real deal. The course is challenging but not overly difficult. The fairways are green, lush and well kept. The greens are nice. The price is excellent: $24 for seniors. $35 for everyone else. The is also a junior discount of some kind, but I dont know what it is.Yes, the roughs are ...rough. so stay on the fairway. For the price, I cant see how anyone can complain about this course. They also have a very generous driving range policy if you buy a range pass. If you havent been to the San Ramon Golf Club in the last year or so, you really cant judge how good it really is. Also, they make a great hot dog. $6 for a dog, chips and drink. Cant beat that.
Great prices for golf all around. The course is well kept even in the summer which makes this a great place for early morning golf. There is only one set of holes though so occasionally if there is a tournament going on you may have to wait a while.
Course in very poor condition. Piles of grass all over the place especially on the greens and first cut rough. Rough was way too long especially next to the fairways resulting in too many unnecessarily lost balls that should have been easily found. Groundskeepers dont seem to know what their doing. Definitely was not worth the price of admission and will not play there again for a very long time if ever.
I read some other reviews saying the prices were great...I paid $71 for a round on Saturday morning and didnt feel like it was worth it.No cart service and no working drinking fountains on the course. Yardage markers are few, faded, or non existant. One person working the snack shack and the bar. They have to run back and forth between the two which made for ridic long lines that we skipped.Porta potties instead of rest rooms.Range balls were also the worst quality. Most were so worn down they barely had dimples. Others were completely split and unhittable.Course was in good shape but this place is not worth trying out with so many others that take care of their guests.
Came to practice for a U.S. Kids golf tournament, never been told I need to double my pace with a seven year old if your course is not kid friendly dont host kids tournaments period. Workers are rudest I have ever met telling me we are one hole brhind and even though we paid for two children hes not worried about us there are twenty other people for him to worry about. Never going back there and kids wont be playing in that tournament
My cousin had her wedding there is was really nice and the staff were professional
Pro shop struggles to manage the tee times effectively and routinely runs late, even on a weekday. Course is looking beat up lately too. Not worth the price but can still be a fun grip and rip round for a low score.
Great place great friends!
Rough was really rough and overgrown. Price was high for the condition of the course. Absolutely no tee markers and easy to eat lost out there if you are new. Could be a great course if it wasnt for the above mentioned items.
Nice driving range. Course is in outstanding condition. Great value
DECEPTIVE pricing and business practices are welcome at this establishment. Do not expect to receive the price you agree upon on the website, they wont honor it. They list 9 holes times on their Mobile Tee Times reservation section, let you reserve against it without informing you that it is 9 holes, and then double the price without informing you when you confirm your purchase on site. I would not recommend this course for $50 per person, the course is worth the price they advertise online not the price on site. More details below. The Mobile Tee Times portion of their site has vague pricings that do not specify 9 versus 18 holes. Nonetheless they list $25 with no option to select anything else. For 18 holes that would be a great price from the self-proclaimed Most Affordable Tri-Valley Golf Course...if it were true. After reserving your time, your reservation does not specify 9 or 18 holes either, youre simply expected to know youve been duped. When you show up, expect to be charged double of what you saw online, for us it was a cool $50 per person (before including cart fees) despite NO indication of such prior to arrival. Considering other courses in the area are cheaper its laughable for this business to claim to be most affordable. When this happened to us we thought it was an honest mistake and attempted to give them the benefit of the doubt. But upon attempting to resolve the mixup we were curtly informed that all purchases were non-refundable and that this was non-negotiable. Either due to incompetence or malice on behalf of San Ramon Golf Club we were charged double what we expected to pay without being informed of such until after purchase. This is essentially a bait and switch maneuver and they should be recognized for their inability to own up and make right on their incorrect advertising.
It was a great course people are super nice it is kind nice and safe place I recommend the San Ramon golf acadmey
The young man who works in pro shop is very kind, generous, and helpful.
Very good price for the balls. Friendly workers and nice golfers
Still one of the nicest public courses around.
Nice golf course, good venue for events.
Fun course, great greens and great people.
Less crowded than it deserves.
Best place
