I was actually at The Marin Rod and Gun Club, which has the same shoreline. As we call it at the club, it is a $5 million view!

A great place to walk your dog, with family, or to just sit and relax by the water on the benches along the path. Can be chilly at times and a little windy, but a nice place to take a stroll.

Nice little beach in a funny spot near the Marin Rod and Gun Club public restrooms are closed for renovation, took our dog there after finding it during a Home Depot run, small Beach but it looks like a paved pathway walkway for biking all flat but Rocky Shoreline

I love Shoreline Park and think it is one of the most heavily visited parks in San Rafael. However, the City has done a horrible of landscaping and maintaining it and for that reason I rated it a 1, even though I use the park almost everyday. Any routine maintenance and clean up aside from trash collection is done by Baypoint residents. I am now in my sixties and dont want to get on ladders to trim trees and shrubs on park land so that we maintain the beautiful bridge and bay view that so many of us bought our homes to enjoy. There is no landscape plan and the Citys own vehicles hit the fence posts down on a regular basis. Dead plants are not cleared away by the City creating a fire hazard very close to houses. Why does this park get treated differently than other San Rafael parks? Is it because it is a different kind of park thats major feature is a pathway? Is it that it is in East San Rafael? Whatever the reason the City needs to give this park the same level of landscaping care and maintenance that is given other parks like Albert and Gerstle Parks.
