Great theater! Had a private showing for our family and it was a perfect movie night. Staff was friendly and very helpful and also were serious about observing covid-19 guidelines. Was kinda nice to have a little sense of normalcy in this crazy year. Even though having an entire movie theater for your family is anything but normal. Great experience and would definitely do again with social distancing practices.
I always enjoy this theatreThey have a consistent quality of movies both new and classic. Clean theatre, comfortable seats, and clean restrooms. Plenty of ample parking. Good variety of eats at the concession. They now offer a computerized seat selection. My vote is out on this method of seat selection.
The staff at this theater are so nice! We accidentally left behind a baseball hat with special sentimental value, thought we’d never see it again. Called the theater and the GM Carolyn not only found the hat, but offered to put in the mail to us! Saved us a trip back out to San Rafael from SF. The staff in the concession area were also super polite, the theater was clean, the seats were so comfortable and the screen and sound quality was awesome. The whole experience was great. We will make the effort to come back to this theater again.
Great theater. At least four screens. Always check with Fandango pre movie for correct times. Visiting cousins, this is our go to theater.Matinees. Ugh just like everywhere elseyou Have To Select Your Seat....9 out of 10 patrons Hate This!
Taking away a star because this place used to have really nice staff and was clean. Today, the bathrooms were dirty and they were VERY understaffed. Poor girl at the concession stand was on her own, filling orders and running back and forth to take payment.
The Regency used to be my go to local movie place, NO MORE now that theyve adopted the STUPID on line reserved seat ticketing that noone asked for. Good way to keep me from going to Century theaters.
Small, empty, very open leg room. fricken loved it
Fine movie experience but for seating selection when buying tickets. Hopefully that will end.
I prefer Rowland, but like this theater over Northgate.
This is an elegant theater in Marin with good parking.
I come here with my son to buy treats and use the bathroom. But Ive seen movies here too. They play stuff that is very different from the other movies playing in town.
Usally less busy than northgate ...seats are made for smaller people tho ...
A nice, clean theater. Good food and reasonably priced. Friendly and helpful staff. Great place to take in a movie.
This is my favorite movie theater. Theres never a crowd, plenty of parking, and they show movies that arent easily found on other nearby theaters. To date weve seen Apollo 11, They Shall Not Be Forgotten, and Avengers Endgame.
Cinemark theaters in Marin are a monopoly. If your taste in movies is a little more refined than special effect, science fiction and teen films, this theater is the one. It doesnt have the reservered seats that make you feel at home, and it doesnt serve alcohol, but chances are you are going to see that Oscar nominated film at this theater.
Dont like having to choose seats. Saw a movie 4 people attended and we sat in our assigned seats.
A good movie venue. Easily accessible with plenty of parking available.
Good theater; friendly staff
This place is kind of a mess now. The theater are fine, average really. Their ticket counter and snack bar are a mess. Place is fairly dirty/dusty. All in all it would be fine to see a movie their, but nothing spectacular.
I love that this theater is older, and has huge screens. It would be great to update the seats, and hire more people but theyre going almost all self serve.
Movie genre is limited and doesnt show variety movies that families with young children enjoy except Star Wars.
Easy parking, good popcorn, comfortable seating
In addition to lovely California pepper trees that prevent the large parking lot (and your car) from becoming a heat-island furnace, they have more of the movies that I want to see than any other theater in Marin. Taste varies, of course, but their selection is the best in the county - the wittiest summer movies, nearly all of the fall and winter movies shown there go on to be nominated for an academy award. The theater is clean, comfortable, seats wide. Their movie booker is really, really good, and thats valuable.
A great place to see quality films; unlike the nearby Northgate theatres, the Regency tends to avoid the big box office films aimed at the adolescent market. The Regency has a quiet, peaceful ambience outside with no big shopping malls nearby. I really love going to the late shows (10 PM or so) on Friday and Saturday nights--sometimes Im the only one in the theatre--my own private gigantic screening room. Definitely my favorite place to see movies.
This theater shows more indie movies than other Century theaters in the area. But oh wow, this place is in need of updating and repairs in general. The restrooms have had out of order stalls and urinals for ages. Broken drinking fountain. The overall layout of the lobby is weird and dated. I like the movie selections here...and thats the only reason I go to the Regency. But if the same film is playing at Rowland, go there for a way more comfortable experience. I really hope Cinemark puts some money into this theater.
One half hour of commercials before the movie started.
Good theater and much cleaner now with newer management. Even the popcorn is fresher. Weekday matinees for those who can slip away for a bit of entertainment in the dark.
Nice, clean theatre. Enjoyed the movie and experience.
Great movie theater and many choices.
Gets some artsy flicks that are hard to find sometimes. The staff is friendly and efficient. There are a lot of old people. I miss the arcade.
Feels like an old school movie theater. No fancy seating. Tends to show more artsy films. Service can be a bit slow but always friendly. Enjoy seeing movies here because of the nice big theaters.
Ticket guy was awesome.
Great small theatre that shows a lot of indie films. The place is super clean and reasonably priced. I was really impressed with how nice the sound and screen was for a small theatre. I plan to go back many times.
2nd best theater in Marin. Large, comfortable and regularly gets good arthouse films.
Good service.
Best selection of films in the county.
Big theaters are just plain fun.
One of my favorite theaters in Marin. Large screens, comfortable seats, and short lines. Yes, ticket prices and concessions at first run theaters are getting costly, but this venue goes a long way to taking the sting out of it by providing a great experience.
A little bit too loud sound.Clean. Beverages and popcorn . In general is good. Big parking lot.
This used to be the place, cinemas to go to and I revisited recently and to my surprise the sitting was re arranged and you got plenty of space and great distance from the movie screen. still a bit old feeling but the nostalgia could hit you as you walk in the old arcade area, now a sitting- waiting area.
Love this theater. It is away from the traffic and shopping and plays a really great selection of independent films.
Very comfortable seats, great sound and screen. My favorite Marin movie theatre.
A fairly anonymous theater that could use a little refresh. The lobby noise can be heard in the screening. Parking is very easy and its usually quiet. Prices are average for the area.
I hadnt been in twenty years. I love the theatre in Auburn Ca, I will definitely will go again. So beautiful in the inside. And I didnt feel the food was out of line.
Great movies that are not always available at the mall.
Love coming here to watch the classics. Saw a Kubrick double feature here one time.
Great theater with comfortable seats, convenient parking and a full refreshment stand.
Very nice workers and the general experience was pleasant. I wish they would get twizzlers though.
Long line to buy tickets. 2 urinals out of 6 in the mens room were out of commission.
Good selection if you cant get to SFfor better films. Pleasant staff.good A.C. during hot Marin summers.
Nice place to watch good movies
Super comfy seats real butter for you popcorn and part of the Cinemark group which has a great club.
An old, quiet theater that reminded me of going to out of the way United Artists theaters in my youth. Recommended for a quiet date night. The sound system was great (in theater 4), so if youre not into 3D or IMAX, this may be a good theater for blockbusters. Ill likely go see Batman vs. Superman here when it comes out, so if the experience is anything less than pure 90s nostalgia, Ill let you know.Their concessions are expensive at about $5 per item. They also have bulk candy bins, but the price per weight is comparable to their pre-boxed candy selections.
Quieter experience due to more indie-type films.
My go to cinema for arthouse films.
Good, except temperature too cold during movie :-(
Comfortable theatre with minimal crowds but top films.
Best screen in Marin. Plenty of free parking. Overpriced refreshments as expected. Hard to beat for the movie lover though.
The seats are ancient!! u can feel the springs in the back of the seat..not very comfortable....dont know why o why they dont replace them
I like this thester. It has big screens, and good popcorn!
Great movie, super good pop corn!
Great place for a movie, not over crowded like Northgate can get
Hello, My name is Doris is a good laugh. Worth seeing!
Great place to see a movie
Easy parking, good theaters. Nice seating .good for matinee .
Great service and food!
Saw a great matinee there
Very comfortable seating, nice crowd of people, always nice mix of films
Amazing movie watching experience. Curved screen
Its clean, they are friendly, and nice mellow atmosphere
Decent movie theater - large screens
Leans towards older audience, art house
Nice seating, good sound
Its okay!
Shows all types of movies, not just super hero blockbusters.
Reclining seats....so cool!!
Great midsized theater with aged appeal
Smaller, but well kept and nice.
Needs some renovations
This is an old expensive place never again.
It is a movie theater.
Love this theater and the refillable tubs rock.
Very quiet clean theater!! Went in afternoon for 7.50$ special.
Nice clean theatre
Huge theaters, with more of the Cinearts films than most other theaters in Marin County.
Nice theater, very wide seat spacing
Saw a movie there with employer
Clean, friendly, great selection of movies.
Comfy chairs
Wonderful
Clean. And not crowded
Wonderful!!!
Friendly staff, needs updating.
Hey.... its a movie house...
OK
First-run movies that are a notch above the blockbuster set.
Overpriced....
Nice
Genial.
