Beautiful park, well kept, common sense and respectful rules, clean and safe. Great for running, biking, walking and also for children. Great for walking your dog, plenty of water stations and pet waste disposal areas. Bathrooms are available, well maintained and clean. Gorgeous landscaping, and the veterans memorial was a humble touch to the history of the park, with a monument plaque to home town hero, GEN George S. Patton. Really felt at home here!

This is a very lovely park. The rose arbors are beautiful and fragrant in the spring when they bloom. There are lots of picnic tables in the shade of large trees. A paved oval path loops the park. It is nice for walking, running, or cycling. I used to ride my bike here frequently as a child and young adult. There are some tennis courts, a children’s playground, and a large grassy area that is a wonderful place for playing games or having picnics. This is a great place to come with friends and family, or by yourself to meditate or clear your head. I understand that a long time ago it used to be a lake that was used in conjunction with the old mill (a historic site in San Marino). There might be a fee to use the park if you are not a resident of San Marino, so come prepared. It’s worth it.

Nestled in a beautiful neighborhood of San Marino, Lacy Park is an oasis for children and dogs. Especially during Covid 19, many families bring their children and dogs here for a walk and to enjoy the natural beauty and fresh air. This is a place for a morning jog or walk while keeping distances from others. The park has a one way path policy to keep people from running or walking into each other. I see a lot of families having picnics here by taking advantages of the picnic benches throughout the park.May people also come out here to exercise. Many people jog here in either the inner path or the outer path. I also witnessed many elderly doing Tai Chi here. My wife and I came this morning to just to take a walking.I was also surprised by the finely manicured rose garden here. That looks like a miniature scale of the rose garden inside Huntington Library. Finally, I learned something new today from the Patton statute in the park. I found out that the famous General Patton was originally a San Marino resident. Wow! That’s big. Didn’t know our neighborhood contributed to WWII in a big way.

Its a very nice park, but it charges money ($4-5) on weekends if you are not a resident of San Marino?? Thats completely unreasonable and deserves 1-star. Lacy Park receives state and federal funding that we pay for. It should be free to the public. The money Lacy Park receives from this fee is negligible and goes to pay the salary of the person collecting the fee. I understand if Lacy is a national park that requires a lot of upkeep, but its a small local park that anyone should be able to access.

Such a beautiful park! On the weekends it costs $5 per person if you are not a resident of San Marino. Picnic tables are spaced out so social distancing is easy! And everyone wears a mask so you feel safe. Lots of kids riding bikes, lots of activity but the grounds are spacious.

Lacy Park receives upkeep money from the state, yet charges non residents on weekends. The revenue from the entrance is negligible and only serves to keep middle class and low income families out. We too deserve access to fresh air and space, especially when we pay for it with taxes. Shame on San Marino

Beautiful, large, lush private park. Jogging, bicycle path. Clean play area for kids; small kids equipment and bigger kids equipment. No sand. Just wood pilings of the sort in play area. Cute small green tables for picnic and regular benches for sitting. Water fountains throughout. Restrooms near kids area.

Lived in this area two years and finally decided to visit the park one day... Now I go at least once a week! Beautiful walking paths, lots of private benches, always clean. Great for dogs, kids, runners. Rose gardens are a must see when in bloom. On weekends there is a $5 entry fee if you dont live in San Marino. Totally worth your time. Parking tip: M-F park in the neighborhood where the rose garden entrance is as there is plenty of curb side space and easy park access.

Like a trip to Starbucks, this park is the perfect taste of affordable luxury! $5 for non residents on weekends is perfect because it keeps outsiders of this upperclass city out unless they can afford the convenience fee. Sure, I wont visit a park in a city with a median household price of 2.7 million everyday, but if Im going to splurge, this is the park to do it at!

This park looks larger than it really is, and it is very well kept even during this Pandemic. Makes sense since it is located in a very posh neighborhood. Im surprised the neighbors didnt call the police on us since we didnt pull up in a luxury vehicle and our skin color was on the darker side of the spectrum. Horrible, I know but its good to be aware.

Beautiful park. Plenty of shady areas under the trees for relaxing or having a picnic. There is a small parking lot that we were lucky to find parking in, but there is also street parking. There is a non San Marino resident fee per person on the weekends, but we went during the week so we didnt have to pay. The playground is big and the kids love it. There are plenty of benches to sit around the playground. Also, great park for walking if you want to get your steps in.

Absolutely beautiful park in the heart of San Marino. Plenty of shade trees and a fun playground for the kids. There is a reason there is an admission fee, which is to keep this place beautiful for the residents of the city. All of the community events are terrific: snow day, Easter egg hunt, fourth of July. The San Marino Motor Classic car show, supporting the Pasadena Humane Society, is one of the best around!

This park has very nicely kept grounds, and trails for walking and jogging. There are restrooms, but no refreshment vending stands. There are parking lots at the east (Virginia Ave.), and the west (St . Albans Ave.) entrances, as well as street parking (as per parking regulation posted accordingly). There are numerous picnic tables, but bbqing is not permitted (posted rules and regulations located at the entrances can be seen in photos I have uploaded: white letting on green background). It can get busy on weekends, especially on warmer days. Thanks for reading this review. Up

Lacy parks is very nice place to teach your kids to ride a bike. The play structures are very well designed and thought out. What is objectionable is that non-residents of San Marino are clearly not wanted in the park and they charged non-residents an entry fee on weekends. Public parks should be free and open to all.

Our family loves this oasis in the center of San Marino. They have a great track that circles the park with a renovated playground for both big and little kids. They have lots of grass area and picnic tables for everyone. Its dog friendly as long as its on a leash. There are several tennis courts as well. My kids love to walk around the track as well as bike, skate, or scooter. Their rose garden is magnificent when in bloom. Its free Monday to Friday, but you have to pay on the weekends if you are not a San Marino resident.

They have a pretty decent 4th of July spectacular as well.I used to hate coming here because I would always run into someone that I know, though I have found comfort in it as I have aged.
