A very fun course with lots of diversity. We enjoyed the birds, ducks, turtles and overall ambience- and the golfing too
Very well kept. Very impressed with how green and lush the fairways and greens were. Greens werent excellent condition with perfect role nice and fast.
The course is amazing. By far my favorite in North County.I am leaving this review specifically for the kindness that the staff always shows towards my friends and me when we play here. The pro shop team members are particularly awesome in accommodating and insuring that I have a great experience. If management is reading this, please let you staff know that they are doing an excellent job in these trying times. Thanks for always making my weekend golf an enjoyable experience.
Very nice course. Nice mix of holes. The opening hole is a great par opportunity. Love the par 3 7th hole over the pond. The approach shot on the 9th hole is a doozy. You just need to be realistic on that one. The back 9 opens with a par 3, which is sort of odd. My favorite on the back is the dogleg left around the lake. Twin Oaks offers a fair share of scoring opportunities, and is well maintained. The staff is great. Never used the practice green here. On the downside, the driving range is a little inconvenient. It is on the opposite end of the pro shop. It also gets hot out there. Not the best place to practice your trade on a warm sunny day.
Tournament Golf with the Chili Dippers, course in excellent condition . It was a little warm on the back nine. But always looking to return.
Green grass, clean greens, and perfect sand traps. This place is looking really good. The fair ways are not dryed out, the tee box is clean of divets. Twin Oaks looks great. Enjoy the green while its here.
A great experience! Twin Oaks is a wonderful golf course. Super design.
Lots of fun. A fair test. No weird holes. 7am t-time, finished at 1020.
Playing today 5/27/20. Course in great shape, usual pandemic safety procedures but everything is on time!
Nice time had by all, course was in great shape
Twin Oaks Golf Course has made a real resurgence in the last 2 or 3 years. The greens are in incredible shape, and the fairways in many areas are lush and green, with a few patches of dead and muddy ground. Still, this course is an incredible value when you play twilight for $30 w/ a cart. The putting green is a bit patchy around it, and it could use a larger area with more undulation to it.I did not have the opportunity to use the driving range. So why am I rating it a 1 star? In truth, if that was the whole story, I would have rated this somewhere between 3 and 4. However, the day I went there was a Junior Golf event happening. We showed up about 15min before our tee time only to find out they were running a bit behind. Hmm, would be pushing it to finish before dark, but maybe we could get ~16 holes in? Ended up teeing off almost 40 min after our scheduled tee time. Brutal but could still get ~14 holes in? Not a chance. Every shot we had to wait 5-10 min. At the 8th hole the group in front of us decided to cut across and play holes 4-6 again. We figured this would be great and we would be moving faster, only to find that we ended up waiting behind 2 foursomes on #9 tee box. By the time we teed off the GPS in the cart said we had an elapsed 2:45min and were 45min behind pace. The course was painfully slow. We would often pull up to a tee where the foursome 2 groups ahead was just getting ready to tee off.I was kind of livid and disappointed. It felt like a waste of my time. I went into the pro shop to ask about this and was told they had 80 juniors on the course. I am not sure I see the relevance of that. If they had that many people, why were they selling tee times? Why not just shut the course down? Why not have a marshal to encourage the juniors to play faster? If I had known the pace of play was going to be that slow, I would have booked a time elsewhere. The person at the pro shop offered me a voucher for 9 holes. I said no thanks, I wouldnt be using it. I have no intention of going back to this course. Spending 3 hours to play 9 holes is absurd, and they are doing those juniors a disservice allowing them to play that slowly. I can *walk* 18 holes at my home course (~7k yards) in 3 hours. Twin Oaks showed a lack of appreciation for my time, and my time is very valuable to me. Whats worse is they didnt really make an effort to make it right.
The manager Troy ran over my foot with a cart on purpose and then proceeded to take a picture of my “behind” when I was packing up my things to leave.
Went to a seminar here. Comfortable. Pretty grounds too.
Great staff and good layout. There are homes around but mostly dont play. Paid $45 on an early Monday start and was worth it I would definitely play there again.
Very good & challenging course
Great condition!
The course was in terrible shape last time I played. The whole perimeter and half of every green was punched. Leftover dirt from punches was left on the side of greens or even strewn into bunkers. Every approach shot had to go through dirt clumps. Many dirt punches were even found on the greens. Grass was sad and bunkers were hard packed. No one even mentioned the punched greens when I made reservation and paid full price.I contacted the course about the poor state of greens and received no response.Overall terrible experience on Twin Oaks golf course
Love this course, I play tournaments here for Future Champions Golf and it is challenging. The course is shorter than some but way more narrow. The greens are great and the staff are friendly. Great course for a tournament
Horribly slow and no marshal. Couldnt finish round and they didnt care at all at the pro shop.
Course is in great shape
Course isnt in great shape, barely good. Cant drive on all fairways?? Not that good, greens good and consistent thats why it got 3 stars. 95 degrees out and no beverage cart on course really? Found out in summer only on weekends or maybe tournaments? Again, really! What has happened to f2f course mangement???? Pace of play good after we got around a really slow group.
The wedding venue is beautiful prices are very reasonable for a wedding venue, staff is very helpful the bartender has a great sense of humor. This was just our tasting, we will update after the wedding
Friendly staff, beautiful location, and very well maintenances
Its a pretty fun course. A little bias cause I work there . Its 18 holes of nice wilderness and trees. Definitely a challenge if you do not play golf regularly.
Really enjoyed the course. In wonderful shape! Greens were fast and challenging but true and consistent. Cant wait to play it again!
Held RMJ Humanities fundraiser there. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. They have a great venue, course, food/price options that are cost effective when trying to raise money as well as put on a nice event.Weve already booked again for next year!!
The course is very nice, my issue is that the range balls, for which they charge $10.00 come out of the machine dirty. Really? Mud on range balls? Not cool. Other than that, its a great place to play.
Staff pleasant and very helpful every time i go. Course in good shape except for areas with too much water. 19th hole us a treat. Try the local dos delabos
Gorgeous golf course, came here for an event at the clubhouse. Beautiful scenery and the greens looked very green!
Spent a lot of money to be rushed like cattle and ordered to skip the 10th hole. 40 years of golf and never treated so rudely. Alot of better courses that appreciate our business.
Had a great, informative and possibly revolutionary lesson with Paul Miernicki today,Look forward to working with him again. Am excited to go out and play.
It took 6 hours to finish 18 holes due to 2 old ladies playing 8 groups ahead of us on one of weekdays. No marshalls available. The course is relatively in good condition, nice proshop stuffs. I wont go there anymore.
You get what you pay for on this course:Great staff full of friendly peopleWell manicured courseGood views of the nearby hillsI just wish sunblock wasnt 5 bucks for a tiny tube. Other than that I am set.
Fun and challenging golf course!
Course is on par for north county courses. Decent layout with some nice par 5s
Beautiful exec course. Great staff too.
Arrogant staff and just getting worse. Moving our weekly golf elsewhere.
