Loved it. Hands down it is worth the price. Brought my wife my two teens an my 6 year old. We spent a total of about $170.00 dollars when everything was said and done. Took the train ride into the wildlife area pet the different animals in there and fed them. I fed a ostrich by hand!!! Then we all met in the gift shop to enter the cave. The staff was energetic, funny, friendly and informative. Our guide was Megan, and props to her for making our experience a delightful one and one to remember. The cave tour was great, the vertigo house was a trip and finally taking to the Macaws trying to teach them Spanish. I love this place the total tour took about two and a half hours and worth it.

This was such a fun experience thanks to our amazing tour guide, Shane! Shane was very knowledgeable and professional, and kept the tour fun the entire time! This little cave is such a sweet little gem here in San Marcos, and I seriously felt like a little kid again feeding and petting the sweet animals that are here! They look well fed and groomed, and the place where they are kept didnt smell, so they upkeep things super well. I hope you guys bring back cave raves for the adults or even do a fun haunted house for Halloween! 10/10 would recommend!

Our tour guide, Creyton, made our groups tour a whole lot more fun! He knew so many interesting and great facts about the cave and the animals that were in the petting zoo area. My wife, 6 year-old, and 1 year-old all loved it!! We fed animals right from our hands and went through the underground cave where we learned so many great things! Definitely recommend it for a family day!!!

It is fun for all ages. We had 2 adults and 1 teenager. All of us enjoyed doing the full package. Shane was a great cave guide (knowledgeable and entertaining). The anti-gravity was just as fun as I remembered. Be careful with popcorn on the train ride; kid set his down on the seat next to him and 1 of the deer stole it and ran off. The guide had to stop and go get it back. I definitely recommend it!

Perfect for a weekend getaway! Callum was our guide and he was an expert. The animals were cute but we enjoyed the cave tour the most! Not only information about the formation and discovery of the cave but its use and history from there. After the cave, the observation tower, both terrifying and beautiful then the antigrav house, which was very entertaining. All of the tour included his effortless humor. He was a great guide. Everyone has to visit this place! It was the most fun I had during my trip! We payed for the full pass or the combined tickets, it included the gravity house, the caves, the train petting zoo and the tower. It was amazing, we where 150 ft under ground, we got to take photos and its a small group of people that they take at the time so they answer all your questions and even help you take photos if you ask. There was glowing rocks, and a lot of fun facts and interesting things about the caves. My absolute favorite was the train ride at the petting zoo, we bought 2 baggies of food, it was 2 for 3 dollars. As you go on all the animals come close to the train as they are trained that we will be feeding them, you can feed them from the palm of your hand and they even come on the train. It was soooo much fun! The gravity house was a trip, would recommend attending. The tower had such an amazing view, if you havent visited, you must. Tickets are about 25 dollars each for the combined ones which is all attractions.

The cave is very beautiful and full of wonder. So much interesting history about the caves and the area made this trip so much more exciting! Going to the anti gravity house was crazy made me dizzy. I even bought beautiful gems and rocks to take at a pretty good price as well. I would highly recommend this place and will come back again.

There needs to be better communication as to what is working and not working when you go to buy tickets.Im sure that this would be fun when things work out. From over scheduling to the waterfall being turned off kinda stunk, but eh that happens. We bought the kids feed so they were still excited to see the animals.Train pulls up, stops. The front cabins, filled with adults and older kids, can reach and feed the animals. Our cabin in the back, with our and another set of small children, have no chance. It would just be nice if when youre paying for tickets and feed, they could mention to you hey we stop the train specifically in a place where the back has no access to any animals.Needless to say, after sitting for 15 minutes watching people feed animals, our littles were more than disappointed and ready to move on.

If youre looking for a fantastic family trip thats not only fun but educational, then this is the place to go! I highly recommend getting the combo tickets for each member of the family. Phenomenal place for all ages! The combo tickets includes all exhibits that is a guided tour. Our tour guide Moira was absolutely amazing and so knowledgeable about the Barconales (spelling?) Fault line. The guided tour includes an educational walk through a cave, then up to the observation deck, an anti-gravity area and a covered train ride through their quaint wildlife refuge where you can pet and feed the animals. The gift shop is great, they have a small old school arcade area set up and you can mine for gems! They also offer snacks and drinks at their indoor concession stand that is inside the main building. Every staff member is highly informative, professional, respectful, nice, college students and I could tell they really enjoy working there. They make you feel at home and I genuinely appreciate that. We will be visiting again. This is a must do with the family!

I remember seeing the Wonder World billboards when we were driving through west Texas in the mid 80s but I had never been until now. Fun place for the family and young kids. Our tour started at 1105 am and we finished about 130 pm. Started with feeding the animals tour. About 25 minutes. Beware the emus but not as bad as ostriches at another park. Followed by the cave tour. About 1 hour. Then the observation deck and then the anti-gravity house, which is an optical illusion, but still fun. Just enough down time in between tours to use the restroom and not sit around too much getting bore. JD was our tour guide and he was fun, informative, and entertaining.

This place was pretty cool. Its the only public underground cavern made from an earthquake. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history and told interesting stories. Then there was the train ride with goats, deer, peacocks, and emus following you around, it was adorable! The sight tower was okay, just not much to view in that area. He worked carefully to see that no one hit their heads on the few low hanging ceilings and that everyone had a good time in the anti gravity house. Very fun place to go! The cave is so beautiful and the guide was very good at telling its story and how it came to be and how it came to be discovered. Very educational but still fun. And, it is a dry cave, so you can feel free to use your hands to explore the walls (aka, touch -and flash photography- friendly! Then travelling up the elevator shaft to overlook the trees and the fault line that formed the cave. Then the anti gravity house, and the train ride to the animal feeding ground. Lots of fun to feed the deer, goats, and other animals. Very fun. Planning to return. Note: cave is not wheel chair accessible, and not recommended if you have claustrophobia. Animal feed costs extra. There is a parking lot. Kid-friendly (my 3 year old enjoyed it). Cave is cool, with some humidity, slick surfaces, low-hanging rocks, steep stairways, but there are handrails. The guide warns you ahead of time of any hazardous area (low rocks, slick surfaces, steep stairs, etc.) Definitely recommended by this traveler :)

I saw on their website that they were taking reservations for the train to ensure safety and social distancing. I should have spoken to someone to clarify because there was no social distancing on the train. The train has several cars and each car has 2 benches that face each other. Unless you are in a group of 6 or more, they expect you to sit next to and directly facing other families. And they were not enforcing masks. Very disappointed.

First time coming and the park looks very run-down. It was about $150 admission for 4 adults and 1 child. The cave attraction was relatively short and could possibly be walked the in less than 10 minutes, but the tour guide was explaing the history. The tower was the best part. The animals were limited and we could only stand by the gate. They did have a couple of exotic birds. The train ride was short and the animals didnt have any green space, all just rocks and dirt. We waited a while before we could start our tour so we played basketball and washers. The gift shop is basic and nothing too exciting. The same thing goes for the snack bar. There were certain stations outside for children, but they didnt even work. It seemed they didnt use them for a while.

Fun experience. Kids loved it. But... heres a few things they dont tell you. Not stroller friendly. You cant bring a stroller so you have to hold young children. I would advise not to bring any kids under 2 or 3 years old. Physically demanding. The trail is not for individuals with disabilities or health impairments. The trail requires you to stoop, bend, and climb steep stairs that are sometimes a foot apart. And be mindful that its slippery if the floors are wet. Not flexible. The full tour has to be done as a group. You cant visit each attraction when you want, you have to go with your group. And you cant start until your group time. We had to wait just under an hour to even start. It would have been nice to be able to pick and choose which attraction to do first and in what order. The anti gravity house was super fun but it felt rushed. And beware when feeding the animals on the train ride, some of them are quite aggressive. The view from the observation deck was awesome and breath taking. Expect to spend 2 to 3 hours here. All in all, a cool experience.

Terrible management. We had to wait an hour to book a Cave only tour at 2:30. Once 2:30 came the announcer told everyone with a 2:30 tour to go to the train depo we did. Once we got there we waited people got filed on trains we asked if we paid for this. They said no since we had the cave only tags. I went to talk to the 2 people at the front desk and ask what we were supposed to do. They couldn’t find our names anywhere on the schedule or mention of a 2:30 tour. When asked who sold it to us I told them and they nodded at each other. The lady asked the guy if he would want to take us on our 2:30 tour and he said no he did not want to and we could wait for Ashton to get back from the train tour. We didn’t get our cave tour till 3:15. Our kids were restless by then unhappy; we ended up having to leave mid tour because they were crying. Management should 1) honor the tour times and 2) have the common sense to take care of families with small children.
