This place such a place of rest. Absolutely loved the style and decor. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom is beautiful with amazing Aesop products. Fresh coffee and pastries delivered to your door every morning. I wish I lived here... but seriously.
Brand new
Had a wonderful stay. The newly redesigned rooms are beautiful and exceeded expectations. Staff was friendly and helpful.
They recently finished renovations and we were lucky to stay here for a week while still WFH. They are pet-friendly ($75 pet fee per stay). Each morning around 7:30am, they deliver a bag containing scones and a thermos filled with coffee. The room is lovely and spacious. Location is great, within 5 mins driving to downtown SLO but also being a nice, quiet area. Lots of grass and mulch patches within walking distance if you plan to bring your dog too. My only complaint would be if the hotel is booked full, you can hear the second floor guests footsteps very loudly (It sounds like someone stomping in heels!)
Obsessed with everything about this place. I will be staying here whenever im in town. design, comfy bed, great shower, coffee/scones delivered 730am. Thank you for a lovely evening away!
Great hotel. Convenient, nice rooms. I know its not a reason to pick a hotel, but the shower is awesome
Clean, quaint boutique hotel. Room was very clean and had modern decor. Bed and linens were comfortable. Friendly staff. The only thing missing was their usual complimentary breakfast (COVID-19). They did still offer coffee and scones.
Overall good experience. Quiet location centrally located. Staff was friendly and attentive.
Everything in this lodge was amazing, I really liked the decor, furniture and Aesop toiletries. And fresh coffee and pastries in front of our door every morning were a really nice touch. The only thing that bothered us was that we could hear other guests walking on the upper floor in the night.
The room was *very* nice, the kind where you go ‘oooh!’ when you walk in. Fireplace in the corner. Two large comfy beds, fully tiled bath. Nicely decorated. You can hang out in the room and feel you are pampering yourself. Breakfast was good, typical yogurt/breads/eggs/coffee with pleasant surprise of chia pudding. Good coffee.I would definitely stay again if I were visiting the Cal Poly SLO area.
The rooms are so gorgeous. Very impressive, very romantic. Good location. Breakfast was ok. Saw oats, but no oatmeal or a way to cook it, fruit was simply apples, bananas and oranges. They made scrambled eggs and sausage links and had bagels and bread available. Starbucks coffee was an awesome touch. Quiet and quaint property, would definitely stay here again.
This was a wonderful experience. We had to leave too early in the morning for the breakfast scone and coffee so the desk manager brought it to us the evening before! Thats above and beyond. I fully recommend this hotel. The only complication for me was getting the water temp right in the shower, but really, everything was lovely.
Our room was clean comfortable and quiet. It would have been nice to have some kind of lounge area in addition to the room to meet fellow travelers and relax in - there was only the dining room which we were free to use anytime except during breakfast, and we did. Lodge was well located 1/2 mile from the middle of SLO, easy walking to bars, restaurants, shops and the highway. There is supposed to be a trolley leaving every 15 minutes during certain parts of the day but we never saw it. We did appreciate that the place is totally dog friendly and our dog appreciated it as well.
Great place to stay. The hotel resprenstative is very nice and helpful. The rooms are very clean and kept up. I highly recommend this place, but is little tight but manageable. Only thing I wish they have breakfast earlier...about 6am or 630am. Oh well thats small potatoes. My room is 408 and really roomy and King size bed. Love it.
A hidden gem, cozy, comfortable, Nordic clean style, nice service. It was recently renewed so the room was missing simple things like trash can or a place to hang your coat.
Rooms are nice. But sound travels with the hardwood floors.
Very friendly staff. Made to order eggs for breakfast. Great location to walk to everything. Room was spacious and comfortable. DirectTV was a plus. Hotel also provided free DVDs.
Truly one of the best stays Ive had, and I travel fairly frequently and have stayed in 5 star hotels. Cleanliness was amazing and room was very comfortable. People that worked there very engaging and service oriented.
WOW! Home away from home. From entry into the check in. Smell of fresh baked, free cookies. I was greeted by Craig a San Luis Obisbo raised local whole knew the whole area and answered all of my many question on getting acclimated to the local activities. I prefer what the locals do not tourist spots so I had a lot of questions. He couldnt of been any friendlier. Centrally located cottage style rooms. Near downtown and minutes from the ocean. This room felt like I was at home. Super clean & modern, his and hers sinks, fireplace, robes, 4 post wood bed, jetted tub, exposed wood beem ceielings, sitting area to eat or watch tv, free WI FI at the media desk if you work from a computer, high quality TV with access to movies or the free DVD selection in the lobby with all the latest titles.
The property was nice. The room still had trash in the bathroom. And that was after I had to wait until 7:30pm to get my room. I was told a house cleaner called in sick, so they couldn’t get my room clean until 7:30pm. So I had to wait. There is no lobby, so I had to wait in my car.
Great little Lodge with amazing rooms and close to downtown, cant go wrong
Beautiful and quiet place. Tastefully decorated and the staff was outstanding!
Very cute hotel composed of three buildings with different themes. A nice breakfast is included, but you have to stop by Apple Farm a couple doors down at least once! Our room was very spacious and relaxing. And theyre dog friendly, which is a great plus.
The property is being renovated so the construction workers were our wake-up call. We did not know the property is being refurbished. Daytime parking is non-existent due to workers parking their trucks and using spaces outside our room for an outdoor workspaces...saws, etc. This property is not handicap friendly. There are stairs to the majority of units, maybe two are flat into the door. There is one small folding chair at the desk in the room. There is ample room for an occasional chair. Sitting on the bed was not pleasant.Breakfast was disappointing, eggs were cold both days and overcooked.... coffee was cold. The in room heater failed to work the first night but the fireplace took the chill off.Stayed here years ago when it first opened for business and had a great memory from that visit. My partner recently had surgery and we came here for a quiet retreat. NOT!
Very clean, upgraded. Nice staff
Absolutly Beautiful! Cozy and so comfortable, with Excellent Customer service! Definitely going to visit again. We loved it.
The room was beautiful and equipped with a jacuzzi bath which I enjoyed. Breakfast was delicious. Bikes are available.
Great!! Cozy rooms, great staff.
The slope is rough, especially if you have a larger car. In particular, the lower parking lot has no room to turn around if everybody is in for the night. Other than that, the property is just lovely. Particularly like the decor.
Stay here every time we’re in SLO. Rooms are clean and nice. The fireplace is a lovely touch on a rainy night.
We loved our room, very cozy, quite and clean. Our room was in the very last building on the property. We had a view of trees and could hear the creek below. Very peaceful. Very nice staff and a full cooked breakfast in the mornings. We will be back.
Very comfortable rooms with friendly and helpful staff
Had a little trouble with getting on wifi. Staff tried to be helpful after the Help Desk said they no longer supported the Lodge (untrue, apparently)
Great place to stay and newly renovated
Tasteful, spacious, clean rooms with great character and a convenient location. Definitely recommend!
Old English atmosphere. Very clean and comfortable.
Amazing stay!
Nice big room, fireplace made it feel like home, would stay again
Cute B&B with clean cottages and a delicious home made breakfast.
Super nice staff with amazing full breakfest. It also comes with great homemade yogurt. Rooms are fine, clean and useful.
Beautiful place to stay. Very professional and courteous staff. Theyre extremely pleasant when asking typical tourist questions. The rooms are VERY clean! Breakfast is delicious! My two downfalls are the out of place shower. I think they forgot to update it with the rest of the room. And the sloped and heavily cramped parking, yuck! I saw an elderly couple struggling to get their luggage up the driveway to their vehicle. I ran to help them out of course. The man said, they should tell people that this place isnt well laid out for us old folks and the disabled. If you are either, stay at the first chateau closest to the office. Youll be on level ground.
Refrigerator was not on or didnt work, check in time @ 4:00 was not ready. Tenants next door fought the whole stay.Parking was skimpy had to park uphill and walk downhill
I really love their breakfast. I would come back just for that. Also little things like the flavored water, with fresh strawberries. The baked goods were delicious and the eggs were fluffy, sausages cooked to perfection. Again loved the breakfast and the quiet, relaxing ambience. I took a point off because the room style is not my preference. But, decent size and a nice, quaint decor, room is clean, but I am more comfortable with a more updated style.
CharmingHospitableComfortableThank you We had a lovely stay
Cozy and quaint. The front desk woman even had a British accent to match the style of the hotel. She was very welcoming. The rooms are affordable and the bathroom in our room was huge!
They were great in providing excellent customer service. Very friendly
We had a fantastic stay at this cute hotel. Our room was so wonderful, we stayed in the Craftsmen building. Our room had wooden beams, wood floors and carpet, a nice fireplace and the most comfortable bed and pillows! It was cool and rainy while we were there so it was super nice to be able to turn on the fireplace. The best part is we didnt hear a sound from anyone. We never had the breakfast but it looked great. We appreciated the noon checkout and they were able to check us in early as well. The staff is very friendly and the place is immaculate. The only downside I have is that the water pressure in the shower is so low - but I think that may be across the board in California. Stay here, its awesome!
This lodge exceeded our expectations. The room was beautiful, comfortable and clean. Upon arrival we were greeted with fresh baked cookies, strawberry infused water and they offered us movies and popcorn for the room. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and filling. Full breakfast included eggs, sausage, potatoes, yogurt, granola, cereal, fruit, oatmeal, bagels, scones, cake, muffins, toast, tea and OJ. We were worried that the room wouldnt match the nice pictures online, but we were pleasantly surprised, especially after a five hour motorcycle ride. The breakfast dining room is decorated beautifully with fresh flowers on each table. The bathroom is huge with two sinks and a large shower. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash and soap is quality. Our room had two robes, a coffee maker, fridge, microwave, DVD player and a gas fireplace. The room was so cozy that we didnt want to leave.
Construction, construction parking, cold scrambled eggs, cold coffee one day. Well stay somewhere else next time.
This is an outstanding property. Well- designed and well-staffed. The rooms were very creatively laid out. Free breakfast provided was excellent. San Luis Obispo is an interesting City to visit with many excellent dining opportunities available. The Mission Church is also a must-see.
Disappointed. The small room was too crowded with heavy furniture, the shower head and one sink faucet were covered in mold, the closet had just three hangers, the breakfast was terrible - the hard boiled eggs were frozen, the scrambled eggs (in a bucket) were rubbery and tasteless, the bananas were a few days beyond ripeness for banana bread (black and bruised). I asked them to clean the mold and they seem to have attempted to do so but were not successful and did not address it with me afterward. I do not recommend this place.P.S. After I lodged another complaint on the second morning the mold was gone
Beautiful lodge! Clean comfy beds. ADA accomodations. Bathroom was the cleanest!! Great Staff! Good breakfast and such a pleasant dining room. Great selection of DVD movies to borrow. You feel as though you are in a real mountain lodge. The faux fireplace heater with flames is such a cozy touch! Highly recommended!! You wont be disappointed!
Nice clean room with comfortable bed. Free parking and a complementary breakfast. The only thing that needs an upgrade is their WiFi. The connection in the room was very poor.
We were promised a good Hotel and they delivered a great Hotel. The staff personnel was very polite and made You feel like You knew them for years. My family was so happier and excited the kids had the biggest smile ever.I would definitely recommend it to friends and family. In fact I already did. This Hotel is between Morro Bay and Pismo Beach. We had lots of fun visiting all 3 places.
Really a nice place to stay, quiet and priced to keep out until desirable people!!
The furnishings and cleanliness. I didn’t like that there was no bathtub.
The hotel rooms are very nice, clean and comfortable. The staff is very helpful. The only downside to this is parking. One way in and out. A compact or midsized car can maneuver, but anything bigger than that will have a difficult time.
Love this quaint and charming lodge. Staff is amazing and the rooms are clean, welcoming and breakfast is a nice touch. My second time being a guest here. Anytime Im in SLO I hope this place is available.
Quaint and cozy. Beautifully done rooms.
Quiet rooms. Lots if amenities. Full Direct TV with a DVD player. Continental breakfast was very good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Even had loaner bikes you could use to ride through downtown. Only drawback was the parking, very tight with no outlet on a steep grade
This is one of the most comfortable rooms I have ever stayed in. The bedroom and bathroom are lovely - the bed is so comfortable. Only downside I can think of is all rooms are on a staircase landing and doors are next to each other. Walls are thin so you hear people coming up and down. Annoying for light sleepers like myself, but I would still stay here again and again
Nice little hotel. It has the feel of a bed and breakfast. The bed and pillows we of good quality and soft. Room walls were thick so noise issues. Free breakfast was good quality.
Very comfortable, very quiet, perfect breakfast, and unique, tasteful rooms. The only aspect of our stay that I did not care for is the fact that the lodge has no staff on site after 9 pm. However, they are up front with this information and do have someone on call for emergencies. We will happily return.
Loved the room! Very large, comfortable, great bathroom and really liked the theming of each of the buildings.
Very nice rooms. The bathroom and shower were amazing. The bed was very comfortable. I received a phone call within an hour checking out informing me I had left a pair of shoes in my room. They offered to ship them to me if I had already left town. I have never had another hotel notify me like that! The only disappointing thing was realizing I had to schlep my big suitcase up several flights of stairs because none of the buildings had elevators. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to SLO and will bring two smaller bags instead of one big suitcase.
Lovely B&B, great food, staff very friendly, walking distance to town, will return
What a terrific find. For me, staying in room 626 was the bomb. Quiet and the bed pillowss were the best I have ever slept on. The breakfast was fresh and tasty to make ready for the road journey. I highly recommend!!!
Decent hotel in San Luis Obispo. A bit too far for the downtown area (20 Min walk), but decent rooms and in a quiet location. Breakfast was included, but it was very basic.
Great staff. Great location. Awesome room. Most comfortable bed.
This place is AMAZING, clean clean clean and June was beyond delightful. I cant wait to come back. Thank you June and San Luis Creek Lodge
This property was a huge surprise to the upside. Great staff, incredibly nice rooms with 4 poster beds and great amenities. Highly recommend!
This place was very very high quality. They have four buildings on a very thin lot. Well done with the design of the property folks. I was in the Plantation building, which I liked because the room faced on to a ravine. Every aspect was high quality. I dont have the budget for what this establishment usually costs but I was glad to find a reduced mid week rate online. It is about a ten minute walk from downtown which I liked and it is about a 2 minute drive to Cal Poly. It is right on the 101 but far enough away that you wouldnt know you were close. Breakfast was pretty good. There was something of good quality for every palate and an attentive employee making eggs the way you wanted them. Overall excellent excellent excellent.
Love this little town. If I was to move, it would be on my list
The room was big and clean. The staff was very polite. Breakfast was good. No real complaints. Would stay again.
Stayed there on our first visit to the area. Loved the beautifully decorated rooms, helpful staff, great breakfast selections, and just overall personal feel. Will definitely stay there again.
Very quaint ambience. Couldn’t stay for the breakfast, but it sounded good. The room had a strong odor of carpet cleaning powder, but it was very spacious as was the bathroom.
Rooms are nice, and clean. Bed is comfy.
Lovely. Very nice craftsman style room with a fireplace. Very attentive service. Tasty breakfast. 15 minute walk downhill to downtown.
Great hotel, amazing big comfy beds and pillows. Bathrooms were huge and the rooms were very clean and spacious. I would definitely recommend this place for a night or two - we popped in for one night on our roasters down the No. 1 Highway.
Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable amenities, good breakfast. I wouldve liked a little more water pressure in the shower though. Other than that a wonderful place to stay!
We loved it and the bed was super comfortable! Will definitely return!
Secluded off of Monterey Street, with the wooded creek directly behind the Tudor property. I certainly recommend this charming inn to those seeking to stay in SLO’s north Monterey hotel area.
Convenient location. Easy access to Cal Poly and downtown. Comfortable bed and clean room. The only negative was parking space was tight compared to Brevard County Florida requirements.
This is easily my favorite place to stay while in SLO. It has a friendly staff, a way better than average breakfast, and the rooms are very charming. Downtown isnt too far off a walk and theres a decent brew pub down the street. Great for a romantic getaway or even just business, which is the reason I stay.
I stayed with my little Dog Calvin and my Wife loved the room. King size bed in the Plantation Building was elegant, very comfortable and walking distance to downtown. Free Hot breakfast from 7am-9:30 was delicious. Next time Im in SLO County, I know where Ill be staying.
Rooms were great, comfortable. Desk was helpful and nice. Overall nice travellers hotel. Will definitely be the place we stay again in SLO
Very nicely appointed rooms, away from traffic noise. Were able to check in early without any problem. Very polite staff member on check in desk updated us happily with information about the town, restuarants etc.
Comfortable clean and adorable
The first thing I noticed upon arrival was the quaint English theme of the location. The room itself was rather small, but the king-sized bed and large showers made up for the rather smallish accommodations. The hotel is easy to find off the freeway and within a few blocks of downtown San Luis Obispo. The staff were pleasant, cordial, and willing to assist an out-of-towner with suggestions for food and entertainment.
Wonderful rooms in English Inn setting. Warm and friendly staff and good breakfast. Best value in SLO
Comfortable quiet rooms, with a bed and breakfast feel. Nice furnishings and decorations make the rooms a comfortable place to spend some time.
Nice, cozy :)
What a GREAT place! We booked this place on a whim after the place we were staying in Big Sur was a dump. Im so glad they had availability. We stayed in the Chestnut room and it was perfect. Nice, spacious room with a big, comfortable bed. Big bathroom with two sinks. Everything is updated and very clean. The breakfast was also wonderful. Its located in the heart of motel row as we called it, but it is definitely a gem mixed in. Be prepared to walk 15-20 minutes to town, but we were more than ok with that. I would highly recommend staying here!
We really enjoyed the stay here and the staff was excellent.
Theres quite a bit to write, so Ill put it in point form:Pros:* Quaint, quiet, and clean* Rooms and washrooms are a nice size* Perfect for couples* Close to downtown SLO* Lots of restaurants nearby* Complimentary breakfast is great* Bicycles and DVDs available to borrow* They keep a list of upcoming events* Trolley stops outside* Friendly service* No smoking* Pets are allowedCons:* Free WiFi is not password protected* Free WiFi could not connect at all* Bedsheets had old stains on them* Bed is uncomfortable* Pillows are too soft
Great hotel with themed buildings and a fantastic breakfast included.
The room is awesome theyre all a little bit different and the fireplace is cool. I will stay here again.
I liked how peaceful and quiet the place was, and how close it was to Down town Slo.
This is my go-to hotel in San Luis Obispo, and the breakfast is amazing! Couple that with clean spacious rooms, and walking distance from downtown, this place is wonderful if you dont care about a pool/bath tub/hot tub!
