Absolutely amazing building. This is building was a perfect concert area for tickets during quarantine. Wow this concert hall was not the most perfect place for the test, however; it was a great place for theater kids to be Theatre kids and after all this is a great place. Well some people might say this place is overrated I do not agree

A mix of old and new, of rythmic and and dreams, of time-honored and contemporary, Performing Arts Center included the Call Poly Theater, now the Spanos Theatre, which is the oldest theater in the large Call Poly Performing Arts Center. Seating about 850, the Soanos Theatre is a well maintained, medium size theater. For 50 years, it has hosted a number of University and visiting performances including the well known and loved Orchesis Dance Company, which calls Call Poly its home.

This place is a five star venue. The people that find, search, solicit talent need to try harder for stand up comedy. Most of the talent and shows that perform there are of highest regard. There is a place in American society for a truly American art form. Stand up. Blue acts. The PAC is great. Suffers from being too stuffy and proper.

The Cal Poly PAC is a fabulous place for performances! Beautiful space with exceptional acoustics! I have been there probably a dozen times and have always enjoyed the atmosphere. Parking is usually fairly easy, especially if you show up a little early. Often there is minimal food options that are only available before the performance or during intermission. Sometimes beverages are available and other times they arent. Make sure you dont show up hungry, though!

Went to see Beautiful the musical about Carol King. Very very good! We sat up in the nose bleed section but you could see well and the sound was perfect. The heat from the lighting was warm to sit in front of which needs to be addressed, every seat should be comfortable. All in all a great place to see a performance.

This place is beautiful. I cant believe its at Cal Poly. Possibly the most gorgeous, modern, and good-sounding concert halls within two counties. Its always nice to support a public school when I go to events, and this place is certainly a favorite. Its rarely crowded like places in L.A. can get, and you never have to worry about parking. Id much rather go to shows here than down south.

I recently visited the PAC for the first time. We had tickets to see the Pipe Organ Christmas Concert and was in awe of the sound through out the room. Such a beautiful theater and I cant wait to go back. 10 star in my book

Its a nice venue. Acoustics seem to be good throughout. The orchestra floor seating isnt slanted as much as some, so it can be a little hard to see the performance, but its still pretty good. Weve seen a variety of shows here, and enjoyed them all.

We have been here numerous times for Honor Band concerts, comedy shows, plays, etc. Cal Poly has done an amazing job with their Performing Arts Center. Every seat is a good seat!!

Great venue. Small enough for a great view regardless of where you sit.

Nice and cozy, good location, friendly staff. Rooms are welcoming and clean. Beds are comfy. Breakfast is tasty and healthy.

Always convenient area for tour bus to drop us off to visit the campus.

Beautiful place with ample parking. Very clean, well maintained, spacious and well lit. I enjoyed the choir performances and the pipe organ is beautiful.

We went to see the San Luis Obispo Master Chorale, sing-along Messiah Holiday Tidings, as our beautiful little friend Rebecca McKinley was singing soprano in it. What a beautiful evening the sound is awesome.

We were at the PAC for the Swan Lake and our seats were in the very last row. Im impressed at how well we were able to see. Staff is always friendly and they have great shows. Looking forward to attending another event.

The place is huge so great for the graduation ceremony we were there for. Parking was easy to access and not all the expensive. We paid $5 for ~6 hours. The hall was clean and the seating was great. Didnt feel all the crowded even though there were hundreds of people there.

A great venue, I was here for the TEDx talks this past weekend and all the facilities were excellent

We really love going to events here. The only issue I have is the upper balcony against the rail doesn’t seem safe. If you are tall the railing comes to your knees. If you have an inside (middle) and have to squeeze by people to get to your seat and/or lose your balance it feels like you could topple over and fall.

This place is beautiful and is the perfect place for a huge choir concert. Its near the beach and we went today (3-22-19) and it was amazing. We went to Pismo Beach and hung at the pier then went into the ocean. After that we went here to the Performing Arts Center and had a blast admiring the design and architecture. Has a LOT of stairs.

Great place for an event like a concert of some good rock music

Gorgeous modern venue in classic opera house style on the edge of Cal Poly State University campus. Serves as performing arts center for both the campus and the city. Parking in associated garage is free with event tickets. Only 5 minutes off Highway 101. Hosts a variety of arts and entertainment events. Season ticket packages available. Reasonable ticket prices.

Beautiful venue. Hip hop nutcracker was a fun show too.

If you want to listen to music the acoustic at the PAC is absolutely wonderful.

Wonderful venue in which to see a show. I have never had a bad seat. A very civilized experience all around, the food and beverage stations are well placed and easy to access during intermissions. Although I would rather pay $8 for a glass of wine, not $10, I understand this is an expensive place to maintain.

This was built after I graduated in 1992 and its a gorgeous facility. We saw a play put on by current students and it was phenomenal.

First time and was impressed. Beautiful and great sound.

Its all state of the art, clean, good sound and a nice facility. Its a little stiff for my taste and the architecture is not up my alley but thats just me.

Great venue at cal poly san Luis Obispo. Parking is very difficult. Get the really early to make sure you can park and drive on time. Sometimes shuttles are available. If so, take advantage of them. Great acoustics and good seating is available. Be sure to get early because its usually open seating. Lots of good restaurants in town.

The Pink Martini concert was wonderful!

One of the counties premier venues for art, performances and a classy night out to the refined arts and performances. The Organ is one to hear and see being played. Beyond amazing, a experience for the ears to have once in a lifetime.

Go to. you have a chance to see a show there take it. There is not a bad seat in the house.

A group of us went to hear the CalPoly choirs. They were amazing. I did not obtain refreshments while there.

Attended SLO Symphony last night - wonderful venue. Lovely concert celebrating American composers recognizing Armistice day.

It was amazingly wonderful to visit here for the San Luis Obispo Choir Festival. The entire theatre was astoundingly beautiful, and the acoustics were so perfect, there was absolutely no need for microphones. The staff were kind and helpful, not one of them were acted irritated at several of the students ignorance of their operating procedure. It was an overall welcoming and happy experience I will happily remember for years.

This place is just gorgeous. The seating is good but not great. The seats are not very comfortable and the higher levels are really hard to see from. Otherwise it is an excellent venue.

There’s a waiting list to volunteer there! That says a lot!!

Always a highlight to visit the PAC! Now that parking is included in price of admission, frequently attending is very inviting. Broad spectrum of performances from current, nationally touring acts to MET Live simulcast of renowned opera. Each event is a hit!

Always a great venue; however, we were there for a childrens matinee of Prehistoric Aquarium Adventure. My granddaughter liked it; I would have liked fewer screaming children.

Its a nice venue and like other reviewers the acoustics are pretty good. Seats are ok. I wouldnt say the most comfortable. They sponsor some really cool shows and speakers so keep your eyes peeled for the yearly schedule. Parking can be a bit problematic especially in light of ongoing housing construction on the grand lot so come early to not miss the show.

Visited an event at the old theatre, it was fun and the place is well kept with a great staff.

Great place to see a show but need to work on fixing the issues with parking.
