Very nice little park. Has a duck pond, a running truck, a path that winds around quite a bit in both shade and sun, a couple of sports fields, an extensive childrens playground... theres even a wildlife rehabilitation building there, although its not open for the public. Theres no off-leash dog park, but I can put Goldie on a 25-ft leash and give her a very pleasant outing indeed.

Great playground but always busy - we used to love coming here but now with covid, too many parents not wearing masks for me to be comfortable.Theres lots of ducks and geese here ...but bc of that the area has lots of poop on the floor and smells. Definitely not a good place for a picnic.

The park is big enough for a good walk or walking your dog. Please note the playground is on the north side of the park, so if you’re aiming for the playground, make sure to park around there. The downside is that it could be crowded at times such as a sunny day or weekends. Some ducks and seagulls there since there is a small pond which is fenced. No fishing or feeding wildlife. It’s a little “taste” of nature in the busy Silicon Valley neighborhood.

Covid-19 safety first, they blocked out kids section as needed. Restroom area needs attention seems people would piss on the floor in front of the closed gate. Trash in some areas, grass dying, better if it had BBQ pits...epic.... More lighting at night awesome. Other than that I like the park

Lovely park.. Enjoy going there with my family or alone.. My kid likes the play area and there is ample seating for you and your spouse to chat or you can go for a walk on the nice walking/jogging track.. the nice little pond In The middle with Ducks makes you feel closer to the nature ..I think they organize few events in the parking lot or community center .. The only concern is the maintenance of restroom .. but I think they try and do the best .. I have seen people misuse it.. Like a homeless person I think taking in all the paper towels placed there in one go.. unfortunate..

Grew up near this park so it is very near and dear to my heart. I love how big this area is and its a great area to walk around. On the weekends, there are groups of people in boy and girl scouts who practice and do their group activities there. The park also has an updated playground and there is a pond that is somewhat drained. There are plenty of ducks, geese, and other types of birds that call the pond home and it is a nice area to bird watch.

Pretty nice park in the area with quite a few athletic activities available. Theres also a nice pond, and play area just for the kids, that looks to be quite new and well maintained. I am however taking away one star just due to the fact that compared to the other local parks around, the grass and grounds themselves are not as well maintained, but I would call them natural looking. If your looking for a nice place to walk your dog, go for a jog, or, take your kids to go play this is a good park. However if youre looking for a place to have picnic and feel comfortable walking around on the grass barefoot and such, this would not be my first choice. Overall still a great park to have in the community!

While the pond is no longer full, the ducks are still there. The playground is still awesome and the grass is still green. The walking path is still maintained and enjoyable. The giants trees still provide cover for a picnic and there are plenty of trash cans for waste. Of course, the Berryessa Community Centre is also here, so while much has changed in San Jose, this place has basically stayed the same for the last couple of decades. Bring the kids, bring your pups, bring your friends with the volleyball net. Enjoy our beautiful California weather while we can.

This is a park in Penitentia neighborhood. People come here to walk or jog. A little playground is near senior center. However, there is not much to see other than doing exercise. The little pond is used to be a food and nesting location for wild ducks and geese, however, the pond is dried out this year. It is so sad that both San Jose city and water department invest little in this park.

This is a big park where i was located is the very back of the park. off of Penitencia Creek. It has about 16 parking spaces. That has access to the walking track that circles around a duck pond. What I love about this park its quiet and shady and I can just relax in my van and enjoy the fresh air.
