Must visit if you are in the city! Ive been here on several occasions for Bay to Breakers and Oysterfest, and its always been in different areas of the park because its so huge! This is the perfect park for some sunbathing, people watching and just hanging out with friends for a picnic or something.

Lovely views but very crowded. Parking can be a challenge on nice days, parking is free but there were lots of signs about frequent break ins. If the main lot is full there is an over flow lot just a little down the hill, it’s not clear that there is another lot so there are people circling the main lot searching for spots. Trails offer nice views but you won’t find solitude. Visitor center offers history of the area, bathrooms and hot coffee. Can be a windy spot.

This was a beautiful place to watch the sunset, but it got cold quick! Dress is layers and/or bring a blanket. The bathrooms here are not open later than the visitors center, which closes at 5 pm, so keep that in mind if you are planning on hiking later or viewing the sunset. There are also great hiking trails between Lands End and China Beach with several beautiful views of the Golden Gate Bridge. In low tide, you can also see the remains of three different shipwrecks.

Great lookout point, with entrances to Sutro Baths, Lands End hiking area, and also Ocean Beach, which also leads to the end of Golden Gate Park. It’s the perfect centrally-located area with bathrooms, gifts, snacks, and coffee. I absolutely love this area!

Gift shop attached the Lookout Café. Nice selection of local goods, books and the obligatory post cards. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area with tips for routes to take (as I had a bike). Theres some extra historical information tucked in the alcoves of the windows which is worth a read. Plus a couple of discounts were to be had in store too.

A neat little information/shop place for Lands End and The Sutro Baths. They have guides and an assortment of things for sale. There is also a connected cafe. The view from here is absolutely beautiful! It is very busy on the weekends, but the surrounding trails are excellent.
