Paid a visit here in 2016 whilst on holiday from Scotland. The exhibits need to be seen. The 2 gents we spoke to (apologies, have forgotten the names!) were extremely informative. Thanks for your time and courtesy.

My family visiting from Tennessee and I stop by the SFAE what a great place really cool photos of all the rock bands we loved, fascinating. Best part was the guys who worked there, very knowledgeable about bands and music history. One dude took us to a back room and gave us a course on the Beatles. We loved it. If youre in San Francisco stop by and get a real San Francisco experience. An buy a one of a kind art piece. Thanks Guys great job.

On my first visit there, Sheryl took me upstairs where I was able to see Roger Dean originals and lots of artwork from Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” among many amazing pieces.

I was in San Francisco from Georgia, wasting time while awaiting my girlfriends later flight into Oakland - we came to visit her family for the (belated) holidays. I stopped by the San Francisco Art Exchange because Im a huge fan of music history and the exhibit caught my eye. After walking in and saying hello to one of the employees at a desk, I overheard him make a comment to another employee at the desk behind him to which the second employee replied, well, we have insurance. I then felt their eyes - among other employees - burning through me the entire time I looked at the pieces on the walls. I can only assume that they made these comments because of my grungy attire, consisting of a denim vest, hoodies underneath, jeans with holes in the knees, and a backpack. I get that the Union Square area has a homeless issue but I have never felt been more offended by such classism. While I loved the pieces on display, I wasnt able to enjoy them and I will never recommend this gallery to anyone - in San Francisco or outside of it.

We saw an article in the in-house magazine in our hotel and were excited to check them out.My husband being a huge music lover, we made a trip to the area just to visit. First off, Cameron was very welcoming and informative. It was a pleasure hanging out with him for a bit. Fantastic collection. Must see if youre an art/music lover.
