Very busy and well trafficked during the weekend. Get there early, there are various different places to park along the trail, but if you want to go end to end, youll need to arrive early to get some parking. Lots of stream crossings, potential to get a little wet. Some of the crossings didnt have a large number of rocks to jump onto.
Beautiful trail to go on in the morning. It is very nice and has such a forest feel right here in the midst of Orange County! It is a great place to be and enjoy the natural surroundings. It really takes you on a journey! I recommend this trail to anyone who would like to spend the day in nature and truly absorb all the beautiful natural amities this park has to offer!
This is a great hike. Plenty of shade and great scenery. I love the creek.
Nice surprise having come down from Santa Cruz, CA for a brief family vist. I didnt expect this natural undeveloped corridor to exist in over developed southern CA. Although not a very long corridor for mountain biking I still enjoyed riding down and then back up the corridor..the creek that runs parallel to the trail was a pleasant surprise at this time of the year. Lot of diversity within the vegetation in here..beautiful variety of trees throughout this area too. Glad land developers left this alone.
Used to love this trail but people dont know how to take care of beautiful things
Great trail for starters! Loved the swing. (There are no restrooms)
Dirty dirty dirty. Graffiti, trash, and the nasty water.Overall the trail was great.
Good to turn back once you hit the houses. Love running this trail, about 8 water crossings. Good for families and dog. Saw a coyote once but scared it off.
Nice easy walking trail. We were there a day ago and lost control for dog e collar. Of anyone found it please return to sit means sit or contact me by replying to this post. Thank you!
Nice hike, nice and shady to cover from the harsh sun most of the times...my dogs absolutely love it, and a great way to burn some energy from them
Nice hiking, walking, running and biking trails. Well kept and clean park with swimming, boating and picnicking available....
Great place. Great views of nature.
Perfect hidden jem! Although growing in popularity this is an awesome trail most dont know is there. You can take it easy and stroll or push your self to get a full work out.
Nice place too catch the sunset
Nice walk down then its pretty steep coming back up.
Nice trail with creek crossings and very small elevation change
Great trail! Great for my teenage boys. Its their new favorite trail. I am not very fit. So the hike back up was a little rough. But I loved it.
4th of july
Great hiking trail but be prepared to get wet. Went through 5 water crossings before we had to turn back. Will try this trail again in the future but great steepness and beautiful views
I rode horse back. During the June Gloom morning. The Marine layer made a good ride temperature wise. It started clearing around 1130 am. Very good day.
Super duper fun!!I did not expect it to be as serene and peaceful as it was but alas I was happily wrong. We played in the creek, hiked off the paths a little bit for seclusion and found ourselves having a wonderful adventure finding lizards, little gophers and a variety of birds. Thankfully no snakesI would certainly hike here again but I’d like to do the entire trail. The internet says it’s 3mi each way but it’s actually longer!! 3.94 each way is what I believe the sign actually said. I had my 4 year old with me so we made it about 3 miles total is all but it still gave a satisfying hike.Worth the trip if you need to clear your head and get lost in the sounds of nature
Super chill hike. Heavily shaded, with a diverse set of backdrops to keep it interesting as well as beautiful (and dont we all love that). The streams are a lot of fun to cross, and on a clear day you can see the L.A. skyline from the trailhead. Only thing - watch out for scattered poop on the trail, there is a lot of that.
Really nice place. the only thing i didnt like is that the parking on st dimas st is super small other than that it very nice
Mostly shaded. Its a fairly easy hike. Id recommend taking hiking poles for the creek crossing, the rocks are slippery.
Great trail, cross streams, hills, and lots of trees and scenery. Great spot for a semi challenging hike but not too extreme. Just need good shoes and balance to cross the streams.
Great scenery watch for rattle snakes on the trail. Plenty of parking with benches to enjoy the view.
Love this trail I just wish 1 of the parking lots had a restroom or port o potty
Great view of the city on a clear day
Cute little hikeincthe middle of a neighborhood. Youd never know it tho
Beautiful, peaceful place for meditation
Been here about 17 times n its still my favorite like there something new and interesting each time we come here
GREAT LOCATION FOR HIKINGMONSTER213
Very beautiful and peaceful place
Amazing trail to go with family/friends for a good hike or just enjoy nature but currently closed due to covid-19
Awesome trail, very shaded wide trail! Fun rock hopping Creek crossings, FYI!!! Dont be afraid to get your feet wet
It was littered with trash and dog droppings. Apparently dog owners walk their dogs on the trail but dont clean up after them.
It was Fathers day with my kiddos, I loved it...
Very scenic area and great nature trail through several small cities.
Take skeeter spray if you attract them. West Nile Virus reports here. Lots of dog shite left behind by inconsiderate owners. Please bring clean water for your pets & if its a couch potato dog just leave it home. Or youll give it a heat stroke & just torture it. Also, know your poisonous plants. The trail is full of Poison Ivy near path.
Great shade, moderate hiking, a few steep inclines and small streams to cross
Nice trail, not a hard climb and trail shaded.
Great lil hike with a mean up hill at the end lots of shade and easy to follow
Its close to home & there are some excellent trails. The Cross Country Mt. Bike Olympics will be here in 2028.
Awsome Trail Enough shade!
Easy & Relaxing. lots of shade.
Not a lot of parking but its free. Nice place to stop to look at valley on clear day can see skyscrapers Los Angeles city
Nice trail! Love the little pool in the middle. It is peaceful and inviting. Apparently its 6 miles. I have never done the whole thing. Will try that next time
Nice trail you have to cross a few rivers to get through it though.
New and Improved Rest Area coming Mid to Late February 2019
Nice trial. Mostly shaded. Tons of creek crossing. Dog friendly.
Great place to hike with friends. I dont think I would hike alone here. A little bit too rocky of a path for me
I walk this trail all the time, there are some water crossings but my kids love it. Fun to look for frogs, and see if we can find pretty birds.
Its an easy hike with lots of shade. Its just over 6 miles total (going and coming back). There are some parts that have poison oak bushes; so try not to let any plants touch you if you dont know what poison oak looks like. Its a bicycle and horse friendly trail.
This trail is really nice because it is a shaded trail. You dont have to worry about the hot sun bothering you. The hike down is pretty easy because it is mostly downhill, but getting back to your car can be difficult since its mostly inclined. It is great for getting your daily cardio in, but if youre going with someone with health issues or an older person, this trail might not be for you. There are some rocks you have to make your way through to get across the river, but it just adds to the fun of the hike. Although there are rattlesnake warnings here, it is still a nice trail to go to.
This place a lot nicer and cooler then the 5 mile in Claremont
If you seen one dirt trail youve seen them all.right..? dirt rocks more dirt some cactus couple lizards and a squirrel and everybody looked hot as it is scorching out her.but truth be told I went to raging Waters not the trail but that whole area is pretty much the same
This is a great trail to get out and just have a day out side
Vast area with playgrounds, a lot of grass for outdoor activities and good places for pics too!
Ride horses along this trail. Lots of trees. So its never too hot. A couple different places to rest along the trail where you can keep the horses penned.
Great hike great place to get a workout
Beautiful spot to either take a hike or sit and enjoy the sunset.
Great work out. Lots of squirrels & spider webs
Got to get there early forparking
Its ok! Not gd for lil kids or wearing high heels lol
Shady, nice relaxing spot. Friendly vibe of visitors. Clean.
What a place for hiking, cycling or just walking around with your homies :) Enjoy a beautiful views, enjoy the beautiful mature, hilarious atmosphere! Its good to be out in the wild for a moment. I hope youll like this place. NO comments - just visit!
We love hiking this trail.
Very nice
One of the best beginner trails in SoCal
Relaxing, calming and sounds of water
A really long and nice trail with so much to explore
Beautiful secluded walk in the middle of the city. Not really a workout unless you are carrying two toddlers but it is a perfect walk for kids and adults alike. Bring water resistant shoes to cross the creek several times.
Fun place
Walking with ease. treked into a tunnel that went uphill ;super spooky. made it to the second parking lot and turned around to go back .
Lovely trail.. plenty of running water and shade...
Man, this place is heaven on earth . Its what a trail should be with water flowing, animals everywhere. Beautiful scenery . Nice people with family. Plenty of parking
Great trail. It is awesome because it is mostly in shade so you dont have to worry about the sun. The trail itself is nice and you cross a stream quite a few times. There are rocks to walk through the stream but do expect to get your get wet a little. My dogs and I love running this trail.
Easy hike with the kids. We all enjoyed it not difficult.
Go out with family. My son love this place. There are up hill and down hill.
Nice hiking trail
Great place for sunsets not much parking
If you follow the trail from the east end all the way to the west end, at some point(s) in the middle there will be multiple paths that may have signs telling you where the trail continues, however towards the far end, the trail ends without warning.
Amazing photo spot especially at sunset.
Lots of shade, beginner hikers friendly.
Love this trail ride the shade and water crossings were refreshing while the temperature was sweltering above.
A tranquil and lush nature trail hidden among dense urban sprawl.
All down hill at first. Long hike if you want it.to be.
Peaceful, with fun set of obstacles. Few bugs
Great riding trails all the way around Bonilli park
