First time for a scrimmage game. Staff very friendly. Great experience.
This is a Badminton/Volleyball place with good coaching for reasonable prices, front staff here are very helpful and are ready to go the extra mile. Monthly subscription for badminton is 40$, black sole shoes are not allowed that is the only shoe restriction.
I come here on open gym, and their staff are very friendly. The atmosphere feels so inviting.
This place may not be in the best condition, but their coaching here is great. My daughter played here for a few years, but moved clubs to become more competitive. She was really sad when it was her final day, with her growing so much in this club. This place is a little better with little ones, I would suggest to move to a different club as your child is growing older. This place was amazing. Even I was sad to leave because of the coaching. Personally, I have played 20 years of lacrosse. I dont have the slightest idea about volleyball, but I have seen my daughter get better from this club. I dont look at conditions much. I see complaints about the area, but its the coaching to me that matters.
Terrible and senseless coaches with awful choices!!
There are several fitness based businesses in this building. Martial Arts, Volleyball, TRX/Spin, weight lifting, etc. The walls dont go all the way to the ceiling so it can get noisy when there are several classes/events going on at once. Still, a nice gym. Unfortunately, it gets HOT in the summer.
Count on quality training at SDVBC. I have two girls playing there and they both have gotten so much better in just a few months...very pleased with all of the different coaches they have had there.
Nice venue. We attended for a small SCVA tournament. Only recommendation I would make is for healthier snack bar items and food.
Too hot needs AC
I have been practicing here for about 2 years now. I love the coaches and programs here. They have a lot of experience and know what they are doing.
My daughter has played Club VB here for a number of years and we like it.
I have played here since 2nd grade. I have learned eveything I know about volleyball here, and the coaching is amazing. This is the best volleyball club ever!
SDVBC is a great place to play volleyball and Dave is an amazing leader for the girls
Set off the street in a plain industrial park style area, the San Diego Volleyball Club is a large facility with 4 full courts, trampoline area, gymnastics spring floor, and weight training area.We enrolled in a starter skills class for our 10yo girl. The class is about 25 girls and there is one main instructor with a handful of helper instructors. The instruction is fun, friendly, and focused on building basic ball handling skills for the girls. During our class the girls will run between all 4 courts, hitting, scooping up their ball, then running to the next station. There is plenty of parking in front and around the building, although the white lines have long faded so Im never sure if Im parked right. The facility is clean, ample parent seating in various areas, a snack bar that is probably only open during tournements, and *free WIFI.* Bathrooms are large and clean. Each volleyball court is surrounded with netting so no stray balls.Word from other parents is that the instructors will let us know when our girl has achieved enough skills to try out for the team.Of note, there is no real front desk area with someone there watching over things or the front door. But Im always eyeballs-on my kids anyway.
As a parent of a child who grew up with this club. It is with great sadness I write this review. My daughter has played and coached at this club for 14 years. The condition of this club is pathetic. SDVBC has been unable to move into the future as many of the other clubs have. The management/ owner has treated my daughter poorly in the past as a player and an employee. Now after she has moved on to a different club, employees are calling and harassing her accusing her of poaching players that have left. The club assumes no responsibility for the continuos exodus of talent instead they blame any coach who has ever left there My suggestion is they look within to how they can improve their product and stop blaming others for the decline of their status.
Its where I played volleyball at!!!
Top notch facility!
Nice facility, Free parking
Great volleyball club!
Easy to see each court play, unlike Epic. However, no ventilation, no AC, not even a bloody fan. This place is just a sauna.
Its the best
