My kids have been taking lessons at Noonans for years now, and we couldnt be happier with their progress. The pool is indoors, and climate controlled (within reason -- Southern California summers are still a bit brutal!) allowing year round lessons. The instructors take the time to get to know each student, and truly care about them. As a result of his lessons, my son easily passed the swimming tests at the highest level of competence at every Boy Scout camp he has attended.
Lots of turnover, not too clean even before covid, and customer service is often lacking.
This review is intended for quality of service of the front desk. They are the person family talk with on daily basis. From my numerous experiences talking to them, they shows no respect and empathy of my family. It seems to me that the only thing matters to them is that if you pay your bill on time. They simply don’t care!!!! I don’t know if this kind of attitude stems from how company’s managed or they just simply hate their job. If second one, management of noonan, get a new front desk.
All the teachers have been great with my 7 year old son who just started swim lessons for the first time a month ago. His first teacher had a schedule change due to school, then we had a substitute for one day, then we switched to a different day/time with his current teacher. They were all good with children (patient, nice, funny) and did basically the same routines as each other during the 30 minute lesson (so theres consistency even if its a different teacher). I like how they get the kids to go just a tiny bit past what they thought they could do, without forcing or scaring them. They just think theyre having fun and playing games. My son is smiling the entire time and doesnt want to leave when its over.
Pricey for what you get and my kids did not become water safe even after going there for a while. We switched gears and moved them to another swim program.
So happy with our experience at Noonan Family Swim School! We have been bringing our little one since he was 3 months old! We love the indoor facility and family-friendly feel! Its very convenient that they offer 1 make-up a month and we are able to do our make-up class at any of there 4 locations within San Diego county. The staff is very up-beat and friendly and we have never had a bad experience! We tell all our friends about Noonan!
My son loves the coaches here. They are really good in handling kids and also teaching them how to swim.It may get quite crowded during weekday afternoon near 4pm.
Ive sent my 4 kids here for the past 5 years. I found this place used to be good. They taught my kids well. However, the service has declined slowly each year especially customer service. It used to be really good with manager and leaders that care for customer. Now, they dont care much. My credit card expired after a few years, instead of properly notifying me, they remove my kids from schedule and demand a payment just like Im trying to run away. Customer service is so bad that even I tried to call back with intention to pay, it turns me off and walk away. Please train your employee how to handle customer service well.
We love Noonan! My son started at 3 months (he is now 5 months) and we could not be happier! Our teacher Miss Megan always greets us with a smile and makes us feel welcome. She always asks how our son is doing which shows that she cares! As new parents, we were not sure what to expect out of a swim lesson, however our teacher really put us at ease and set our expectations for class. The facility is also very clean and bright! We are really looking forward to our son learning to swim at Noonan!
Good, safe facility with mostly friendly staff. Birthday parties can also be hosted here. Their emphasis on fun seems to extend how long it takes kids to become proficient swimmers.
Very unprofessional office staff, not flexible about make-up classes. Desk women are nasty and rude...to the clientele as well as each other. I do not recommend this swim school.
