We did a team offsite there and it was fantastic. Its a really fun group activity, and the people that ran it were lovely. Didam was our guide and she was wonderful - charming, helpful and patient. The space was also great - very light and airy.

I go to the open studio (no instruction) on Sun nights - for $10! This comes with the lighting, an amazing space, and a live model. Elyssa is fun and an incredible painter, and she hires great models. She also provides art classes to kids and adults. Highly recommended!I added some of my sketches below.

I had an excellent time at a team bonding event here. This was my first time using clay in a long time and D and Lindsay were great teachers! Id never thrown clay before, but by the end of the class I felt confident and like Id want to come back for more lessons.

My office chose to do a team building event at Clay By The Bay and it was such a blast. We did a one hour wheel throwing session with Lindsey which was super informative and fun. Lindsey was very helpful and supportive as we all were beginners :)

Miss Elissa is amazing! She has an exceptional understanding for teaching and visual arts. She helps all of her students improve so much. My experience with the San Diego Art Loft has been so enjoyable and I look forward to continue taking classes here.

I have wanted to move beyond stick figures, so I treated myself to a beginning drawing class with Katie Ruiz, and then took a figure drawing class with Elissa and guest teachers. What a wonderful program Elissa is running, and to learn to draw was a life-changing experience. I am going to continue my learning -- its a lifetime project and I look forward to learning more at Art Loft.

San Diego Art Loft is a great experience for kids interested in art. My daughter loved the drawing instruction and grew as an artist herself. Elissa is a total professional-this is no babysitting classroom. She takes her craft seriously and it shows. Id recommend any of her camps or classes.

My son has been a teen student at San Diego Art Loft for a few years and has had a very positive experience. The instruction in his painting and drawing classes has been excellent and he has be benefited quite a bit from Elissas teaching techniques, moving beyond the simple copying he was doing at a previous school. Highly recommended.

I have been painting my whole life, never knew how much I had to learn until I met a Elisa, My work has completely changed and I am forever grateful to Elisa, I highly recommend the Art Loft, Elisa is encouraging, sensitive, knowledgeable, educated, teachers color theory, she’s amazing at drawing, I love her painting style, she thinks out-of-the-box, she will teach private classes with you and your friends outside of her regular curriculums, I can’t say enough.If you take a class with Elisa you always know you made the correct choice!

Elissa is a fantastic teacher. She takes the time to provide feedback to each student and demonstrates what she wants us to practice before asking us to do it. She limits her class sizes to 10 (Im currently taking her Figure Drawing Class) so that she can give individualized attention to everyone and, from her deep experience as an artist, is able to share techniques and approaches that provide shortcuts to developing my drawing skills as a budding artist. This is Elissas studio (she owns it) so it does not have a commercial feel and she takes great pride in running it and making it a safe and fun place for creative self-expression.

My daughter has painted here for the past five years. Elissa is a great mentor and professional role model to learn from. We would like to give the studio 6 stars!

I finally took my first San Diego Art Loft class after six months of talking about it, and Im so glad I did. If you havent been to the San Diego Art Loft, I highly recommend checking out their once a month Friday night open house. They have a local small brewer, delicious homemade pickles and a different food vendor every month. This will give you a nice overview of the classes they offer. You really get the feel of a neighborhood hangout. Okay, so onto the class. My boyfriend and I took a juicing class. It was a two hour class where we got an overview on blending and juicing. We received recipes and were able to make several creations with our class. Candice our instructor was very knowledgeable. She answered all if our questions and gave us the tools we needed to feel comfortable to start juicing at home. I highly recommend signing up for their mailing list so you can stay in the loop. The San Diego Art Loft us a great addition to the neighborhood.

What an amazing experience! Ive attended a painting and life drawing class and was very happy with the classes. I am definitely going back for some of their other workshops. Instructor was amazing too!

This place is very sketchy and in a run down area...the lady was very rude when we got there and didnt let us in.
