Beautiful park area with great amount of Naval history. The landscape is clean, green and scenic. Perfect place to have a date, family picnic, great playground area, alot of fee parking space and all restaurants are within the liberty station complex so you can take a walk and eat nearby. I highly recommend bringing your pets here too. Fair amount of shade and very peaceful. The only downside is the airplane engines above you given the close proximity of the airport. Some road traffic can be heard as well. You can ride your bikes, skateboards, roller blades or go fun a run.

I feel as if Im in the training command center. The rooms, the walls and the scenic area feels truly Naval Military. The well rested and retired since 1997 Naval Military Base is available to local communities for business services. Local multi culture restaurants to serve warm outdoor meals. The ambiance and the historic ground reminds of predecessors and the United States Naval Life.

Great area! Super family friendly with lots of things to do. Plenty of shops including the Public Market which has a ton of vendors itself. Lots of green grass to enjoy a picnic or take a fitness class. There are also museums and art displays. Lots of restaurants to choose from and Moniker coffee is my go to for cold brew.

Great market style environment with plenty of options from pad thai to fried chicken.Make sure to grab a local craft beer from the beer shop to complete your meal and head outside to one of the decks on either side to enjoy.Parking is easy if you go to Lot C on the south side of the building.

Pretty nice place, there are plenty of large grassy areas to hangout. Though, main purpose for most are the variety and abundance of food options. Probably the best in terms of number of businesses and variety of food/beverage etc in San Diego. Do beware it can get hectic! Barnett side of Liberty Station is one in one way out. So Id suggest using Rosecrans whenever feasible.

Fun place to visit. Great food hall (although it was a little too crowded to be able to keep a decent distance from others) and if you can find a place to sit, nice to sit outside and enjoy the food. Lots of great restaurants around there also. Take the kids (or dont) and make a day of it.

Absolugely gorgeous area with large grass fields right along the water. Overall it seemed quiet, though the flights taking off every 10 minutes of so was hard to miss. I highly recommend Karl Strauss/Stone Brewing Company - Liberty Station. With something like 19k sq ft outdoors there are no concerns about social distancing. Might be one of the few places where you can entertain relatively large groups while we figure out the new norm. Of course great food and beer! Its reminiscent of having beer in a tropical paradise.

Our dog loves this park! It’s always so clean and there’s huge fields where they can run and chase toys. If you have older kids its small enough that you can send them off on their own and meet back at a designated spot. A lot of the stalls are pricey but its what you would expect. Great, convenient, chill SD spot. The waters nearby, great beer and food, the airport if you need it, Sea World when it opens again, etc. I definitely recommend. Stone Brewing there is great as is Fig Tree Cafe for bfast, etc. I wanted Jimmys Famous American Tavern down the road to be better, but it was pretty good. Their happy-hour cheeseburger was tasty, but pretty lackluster beer-wise (for happy-hour); service was so-so. Hotel-wise, Courtyard Marriot is a solid choice.

Interesting mix of shops, restaurants and history, along with condo living. The former location of the Navy San Diego boot camp is well worth visiting for that history alone. The former boot camp has been transformed into a location of condos and upscale apartments, within a short drive or walk of the San Diego waterfront. Former base buildings are now art galleries, shops, grocery stores, and other retail, and community resources. All in walkable distance of one another.OK, so why only thee stars you ask... well due to the proximity to the airport, any activity will be punctuated with the regularly occurring sound of commercial jet traffic flying low overhead. And due to the San Diego wonderful climate, activities tend to be outdoors... so tihs jet noise is unavoidable. Car parking can be a bit of a hassle too... but if you walk, there is parking about, just not as close as you might desire.Overall, this is an interesting urban mixed use environment... do visit.. Stone Brewing, and the San Diego Watercolor Society, as well as the USS Neversail are just a few of the great attractions to this venue.
